"Noel" a card for Funday Friday Challenge

Hi and welcome to my blog and the long Labor Day weekend has begun :) Any big plans? We don't have to many that I know of right now, but that can certainly change :) I plan to relax just a bit lots of crafting to do this weekend to before we go away next weekend. Maybe a yard sale or 2 and probably a cook out one day is always fun. Now that we are heading into the harvest season you can see Fall right around the corner! Wow where did summer go! A blink and that was some quick 3 months that went by... time needs to slow down just a bit :)
Today is Funday Friday over at Jo's Scrap Shack and the sponsors of this week's Anything Goes challenge is Little Blue Buttons Stamps: I made a card with LBBS digi stamp Miss Lilly and the Snowman:

This is such a cute digi stamp for a Christmas card and the paper itself set off the card sentiment for me. I used the current sketch over at Mojo Monday for my card:





I really enjoyed using this sketch and I think I'll be using it quite often in the future very versailte one that can be used for many types of cards.

I used my bic markers to color the digi and had fun with some Liquid Applique for the trim on her hat and coat and for some texture on the snowman too. I added "Gold Ice" ice stickles to the bottom to surround her a bit to look like glistening snow.
I used the left over blue vellum for the border from my July counterfeit kit, the pink word paper came from my first ever scrappy win a long, long time ago so glad to fine a use for that. The snowflakes came from CM Chalet sticker sheet that I got at a yardsale and the center medallion came from a K&Company classic metal art pack popped up on foam tape. I have not had a chance to do the inside of the card yet but it will be more of the pink paper, the blue border and white cardstock with a Christmas message inside. So glad to be working ahead on Christmas cards this year :) Have a fantastic day and I look forward to seeing what you created for the challenge.
