Just Chillin' my July Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Happy 4th of July to my blog friends!

I was blessed to have the holiday weekend off and with part of that time I made sure to gather up my counterfeit kit for July!
Wow what a Hot! Kit inspiration there is this month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog! As soon as I seen it (during my lunch at work, what better way to spend lunch :) my mind started to react to all the scrappy goodness :) It comes to us courtesy of Scrapbook and Cards Today.  It is their Crop & Create Delivered Kit:  Heat Wave from Summer 2015.

When I was looking over at the original site about the details of the kit I seen that some Homegrown paper from Pebbles was in it and I really got excited! I knew I had that paper.............. Stop the happy dance! Oh I was mistaken I actually had Homegrown from Echo Park oh well not the exact paper but a few pieces of that line ended up in my kit:

 Just Chillin'

My kit for July :) cause that is what we usually do in July before the big garden harvest starts. We have some harvesting in July but not like August! I got an assortment of papers similar to either color or theme of the inspirational paper, with a couple of add on papers :) a cut-apart sheet for the PL cards they had in the inspirational kit. Plans of Christmas in July cardmaking this month too so it's gonna be fun incorporating some of the paper for the cards, hence the smaller kit than usual.
My chosen embellishments for the month: I brought in the 2 sticker sheets from the Homegrown collection, 2 Alphas, some fun stamp sets, ribbon that I would love to get used up this month :), the Homegrown Ephemera pack, Enamel dots, acrylic tags and pieces, 3 shipping tags, gold and white bows with some wood veneer, paper clips and the gold glittery sticker sheet from CTMH. I brought in the butterfly/floral puffy stickers from last month. I also added the brightly color washi tape from last month and a MS Embossed Zigzag border punch (neither didn't make it in the photo). I added a  6X6 paper pad, journal pieces and a postage stamp I got a few months back for playing along in a crop challenge :) Thought it would be a good time to take it off the shelf and actually use it :) I have some cardstock in the kit but if I need more than I have access to that as well as inks, mists and other fun mix media stuff in my stash. The 3 golden brads and something I brought over from the kit last month, I want to use those for a forgery of some fun pinwheels they have in the inspirational kit.
Since I'm doing Christmas in July cards with a group of girls in the Yahoo Group Scrappin N Chattin you will see more Christmas this month than Summer, but you will see some fun summer layouts too. I've been prepping some page kits from last month's kit with working through Nicole Jones Stretch Your Kit class and they are to be used for some older road trip photos so they may slide in this month also :) Looking forward to getting more active in that album. Just a few of my goals this month :) Hoping to get working on my Dec Daily from this past year too and get that project finished up. Thinking easy, fun crafting this month :)
Thank you for stopping by and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world :)

  5. I'm glad that I won't be the only one working on Christmas pages in July! I have a ton of Christmas photos from 2009 printed out.

Your kit is lovely! It's fun to dig through our papers and find things that are either a direct match or close enough. I can't wait to see what you do this month!
