We Have Arrived layout for Counterfeit Kit Challenge #1

Good Morning and welcome to the 1st challenge of the month-Forget Me Not over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Today Lori has challenged us to: We all have them - those tools and embellishments that get pushed to the side and are collecting dust. Pull out those forgotten tools and embellishments and put them to use - punches, brads, buttons, ribbon, rub-ons, dies or die cutting machines, etc. Show those forgotten items some love again!
Myself I love to use brads on my layouts scattered about like enamel dots :) so if I keep them on my desk I find that I will use them more often, but still tend to forget about them unless a challenge asks for them then I easy grab them :)
I used the Simple Stories Travel Notes collection that is in my Dash of This and Dash of That kit for my layout from our Cleveland Trip in June, many more layouts from this trip to come :)
My journaling and one of my embellished spots with brads included
Another close up of the photos I took in the car as we were heading into Cleveland from the interstate. Cluster with stickers and brads.
Larger cluster smack in the center of the layout
The bottom cluster with stickers and brads. It was a cool trip and I hope to do the album justice, with lots of pictures and info too. The arrival into the city was a big part of the 1st day, excitement had been building up for weeks while we were planning the trip and we finally arrived and it was a cool moment that I think need documented into the album.
Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge over at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog.

  1. Love this Tina and what a great idea to document arriving at your vacation city, I never would have thought of that.

  2. What a great layout and I love how you used your brads, they really do look like enamel dots. Love your clusters as well. Great photo's too. Did y'all go to the "Christmas Story" house??? Looked like a really fun trip! Hugs, Brenda

  3. Well done for using up the brads like this - I used to do that a lot back in the day but don't think I'Ve done it for years! I think I got rid of many many of my brads but maybe I should think about using some of the rest that I have in this way. A great layout to feature all those photos - you're so good at that!
