Hello and good day to you. I had a fun day yesterday relaxing, crafting and doing just a bit of the household chores (Laundry). Dave helped a friend of his harvest potatoes yesterday that took up most of the day, but we did getaway just a bit last night. We went to the Tioga County Early Days and enjoyed a ride up through the mountains to get there. The foliage the further you got north was just so pretty. The show was winding down so not much to take in but we did see what was available at the time. A nice collection of tractors on display, checking out the fleas and watching some of the pulls. We decided to head out for something to eat and went to a Restaurant in Steam Valley, one that we had never been too that was fun. So that was my day in a nut shell.
Today's challenge over at Lasting Memories is a Hot Drinks and Stencils. I decided to tackle a layout about my love for coffee, especially when I came across some fun stickers in my stash. I used this for LOAD9: A message in a bottle: Story: Tell what you would want to say to someone in the future Product/technique: Use something clear to hold your handwritten journaling Image: A very recent photo of you
I didn't use any of the prompt suggestions but I did use the sketch that was offered for inspiration:
Here is the sketch: Bonus Friday Sketch Inspiration from Page Maps
I also have this in a challenge over at Scrappin N Chattin yahoo group for Vellum (the circle and the title spot)
I used a stencil circle to add the dotted lines to the vellum. Lots of fun with this layout, lots of fun stickers and enamel dots scattered about.
My title comes with a punched scallop vellum piece that I then stenciled around with a purple gel pen. This page has pieces from my current counterfeit kit and my past kit. The color dot paper was a forgery for the Master forger contest. I had fun when I did the paper and the fun faces added right with this layout and the smiley face stickers. A picture of Dave and I when we were at Tammy's for Christmas 2011.
The journaling and a fun cut out cup in purple I found on a scrapbooking calendar page (the quote about come fill you cup with me came for the calendar too). This calendar I should try to focus on and get it used up.
I found this old diner coffee pot cut in my book of cuts from a swap and added it to the layout with another sticker. The glittery hearts are from my current kit.
This was a fun layout and it will go into my All About Me album. This is a place I can add quirky layouts like this and genereations from now will have those questions answered if they want to know :)
Have a great day today and find joy in just the little things in life :) I look forward to seeing what you create for this challenge :)
