Emily's 1st Ball Pit

Hi and welcome to my blog. Today is day of many 1st's going on :) Happy 1st Birthday to our Great Granddaughter Emily Ann, thank goodness for facebook it's the one way we get to see her and seen her growth throughout this year, long distance seems to complicate seeing her in person.
Today is also my 1st reveal day as a Stick It Down DT with their Double Page team :) and the layout I did features our Birthday Girl :) Emily's 1st Ball Pit
normally someone on the team creates an original sketch, but this month they went with this beauty from Page Maps, one from December, 2010: Jan 16 sketch
What a fantastic sketch to start off the New Year with :) This particular day it was to cold to swim so Jessica made a ball pit out of the floaty for Emily, soooooo darn cute when I seen the pictures on facebook. So glad I printed these off awhile back cause it was perfect for this sketch.
I used my Brighter Year Ahead counterfeit kit for my layout it had the perfect colors to go with the pictures, drawing in on the pinks and the blues of the floaty. The fun border was made from some polka dot paper that I was able to punch with my 1" circle punch and created it just about the same as in the sketch. I added bits and pieces from a variety of beachy theme stickers I had, even finished off one package (woohoo!)
She was definitely having fun playing with the balls in the pit :)
 The journaling
I added the cute die cut I got in a swap a few years ago
The title work. The sketch is as playful as this layout :) So I hope you'll join us over at Stick It Down
for their Double Page challenge, yes it would be great if you joined in for their other challenges too :)

  1. Congrats on your first reveal. This is a great layout. I will be joining in the challenge too. Looks like Jessica was having lots of fun in the ball pit, great pictures.

  2. hooray on using old stash along with the beachy stuff on a non beachy page! She looks like she was having way too much fun!!

    1. Thank you Kate :) I was thinking the same with that floaty that the beachy stickers would be a great addition to the layout with all the beachy stuff on that floaty :)

  3. Awwww Happy 1st Emily!!! Such a sweet layout and a huge milestone..... so happy that you are able to watch her grow through photos on Facebook.... its better then nothing huh? It stinks that you have some distance between you but at least you still feel apart of everything through Facebook and that is what I love about Facebook. This is a sweet layout and gorgeous photos.

  4. What a fun layout. Those pictures are adorable, gotta love facebook! Love the pink background paper and the beachy on this layout. Definitely a warm spot on a cold day!

  5. Tina this is so cute and perfect for your adorable pics.

  8. Congratulations on the new DT spot! I'm sure you'll be an amazing asset to the team! Your cards and layouts always brighten my day x
