Good Morning and welcome,
Another cold day today here in PA. This layout comes from Day 4 of LOAD and the day theme is journaling or word play. We were to base the layout on the story They Very Hungry Caterpillar. Create a story that builds. I lifted an idea from Lain on this layout she had used journaling cards to tell her story and so did I.
I used the Make it Monday sketch #33 over at the Memory Nest
This was about the only thing I could come up with for this prompt was the first MM tractor we got was one I wanted and that started our MM obsession as told through the journaling cards.
The papers and journaling cards came from my current counterfeit kit
Now this was interesting I thought I had the tractor pictures in an photo envelope but when I looked they weren't there. The negatives were though, so glad I got one of those slide and negative scanners wasn't any trouble getting the pictures off the negatives and printed :) Added a little logo print out for an embellishment.
I found this cut out in the paper pack, yep the perfect title :) Another logo print out.
So this is all the journaling from each card ans as you can see we have quite the collection :)
Have a fantastic weekend, will try to post later if I can I've got a layout to do and 2 DT projects to do yet. Stop back tomorrow for a Lasting Memories foodie layout :) What a great theme this month for that too :)
What a neat way to tell a story!! LOVE it and love your fabulous page. What a beautiful picture. The colors you chose really compliment the tractor. AND thanks for playing along with us at tMN!! <3
ReplyDeleteBrilliant way to include lots of journalling without taking up too much space. I'm left wondering where you keep all these tractors! Thanks for using The Memory Nest sketch and sharing your page.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jane :) We have a 3 acre property that we do a large garden each year almost 2 acres of it. The tractors are housed under 2 large carports I guess you would call them :)
DeleteLove what you did with the sketch! The journaling cards stacked like that are very unique-great way to tell the story! Thanks for joining us at THE MEMORY NEST!
