Reading Is Cool

Good Morning :) I hear there is snow in the area, some how so far we have lucked out and not got any yet, for the ones that are please stay safe. This layout is from Day 22, a Sunday and the theme is Your Own Story. The prompt was How do books and reading intersect in your life now (how they impact you today) *I decided to tell of the love of books through the years. Some suggestions from Lain was: Are you reading more?, Stacks of Books and/ or get photos of book cases (that is the one I went with :)
I went around the house on Sunday and got a picture of each of the book cases in the house, we do have quite a few with a wide variety of reading tastes. I used the DCWV Dear Jane pad for the fun book paper and the red and white paper came from the pad too. The borders were from scraps of last month's kit .
The title came from 2 different alphas: I used the atd Vibrant chipboard Alphas for the READING an old set of Alphas in my collection and wasn't staying stuck well I had to add more wet glue to get it to stay stuck (I best use it up and get it out of my stash) The metallic silver letters are from Colorbok
A close up shot of one of the sections of the layout
And another shot of the middle section of the layout
The journaling block, just a bit of my reading through the years. Now I enjoy reading just about anything :)
Thanks for stopping by.....

  5. Another fabulous layout Tina! I love the pictures of all the bookcases, so fun and just look at all those books! Love, love, love! I must say that I pretty much love ready anything too. But like you in my divorced years, I read a lot of the Harlequin Romances. lol Still love them, who doesn't love a good love story?! But don't read them as much now. I have gotten into the Amish love stories now. And other story lines. I do love some good mysteries as well. This is such a great idea for this layout. I love it!! Hugs, Brenda

  8. A very nice page about a favorite subject of mine. I often have to glue my old alphas down too. Nicely done.
