A Fine Lady layout

Hi you all :) How is the weekend for you. So far my Friday has been very crafty, but I have some LOAD layouts to get posted for challenges yet before the chime of midnight on Halloween night. So this layout came from LOAD19 (Mother Tattoo) they did come up with fun words for each day that related to a pirate one way or another. LOAD19: Story: Tell of a woman with a strong influence in your life Product: Use a feminine color scheme Image: A mother & child:
Katherine is my DIL and she is marred to Dave's youngest boy Brad (my stepson), she has amazed me from the time I met her to now and throughout with all that she has done and accomplished along the way. I got a bit feminine with the layout but with all the male going on I had to accent a bit in that direction too. The combination made for a good layout though.
To help with the layout I used the sketch over at Sketch N Scrap: Sketch #91

I had to adjust the photos slightly to fit my larger photos to within the sketch, that was about the only alteration that I made it, the rest of the layout falls in pretty good to the sketch.
I used the velvet ribbon and the stars for most of the embellishing on the layout. All the papers and the embellishments came from my current counterfeit kit.
When I seen the You Amaze Me chipboard in the CTMH Chalk It Up line I knew that it was perfect for this layout, so I brought in the puffy arrow & stars and the chipboard stars from the same line to embellish the layout.
I used DCWV Mary Jane stack paper that was in the weekend kit I made for LOAD for the title piece and the journaling piece. She is a pretty great mother to my grandboys :)
My journaling and yes I embrace my flaws in my handwriting :) The pictures were taken the day before Mother's Day this past year.
The bottom corner embellishing. This has to be one of my favorite layouts it all seem to come together and I just love a sketch that helps me with layering :) Something I've been working on and trying to get better with. Thanks for stopping by and seeing the view from my little corner of the world.
