Me & Gram layout

Another challenge layout to get posted :) This is Tristan and I together spending some quaility time together when we were over at Brad and Katherine's for their Father's Day gathering the day before father's day. It may have been the for the Fathers that night, but this Gram was having her own special moments with Tristan.
This layout came about from LOAD29: Sails and Rigging and from a sketch over at My Scraps & More Sketches. LOAD29: Story: Tell of a time that you improvised something in a creative way Product/technique: Create a banner Image: That includes something blowing in the wind. I had no where to go with this! I spent an hour going through this past year's photos for anything that looked like something blowing in the wind. Nope, I had nothing! I guess it's not something I take pictures of :)  So decided on doing the banner. Okay easy enough so now what am I gonna scrap! So I looked through my monthly sketch challenges folder for a sketch to do:

I found this one over at My Scraps & More Sketches and chose sketch #115 I thought this sketch would work for a banner element, so that was figured out :) So next I went through my printed photos on my craft desk and found these and thought yep this would be the perfect story to tell. So a different process for me for a layout, but it all worked out Boy LOAD is really stretching my comfort zone.
The banner was created with scraps from my current counterfeit kit, the trim I added to my side kit from LOAD this past week and I fussy cut the rose frame from a cutout sheet from DCWV Dear Jane stack pad
The journaling block came from the same stack pad.
I also brought the banner element down into this section of the layout. Another favorite layout, one that capture's a very special moment.
Thanks for stopping by once again today :) Now to go and get today's LOAD prompt done :)
