A Summer Favorite Recipe for Use Your Stuff Challenge

Hi you all :) Hope you all had a fantastic weekend :) We have been Hot, Humid and Rainy this weekend but we made the best of it. For this week's challenge over at Use Your Stuff blog, Heather's challenge is a color challenge. Can you guess the colors from my layout:
This is the color inspiration picture:

This is why the purple was added to my counterfeit kit this month, I knew about this in advance :) I tried to capture the colors the best I could from my current counterfeit kit: Summer Daze, just going outside of the kit for the background paper and some embellishments to fit the colors. I wanted something of a party atmosphere as the salad is usually made in the summer for family gatherings (but I have been known to make it in the winter time for gatherings too).
This layout was also created by a challenge that we are having over at Our Happy Scrappin' Place this was for challenge #1 Favorite Summer Recipe. This is my Mother In Law's recipe that both us daughter in laws received after just tasting it the 1st time, it's a great one to have in the recipe box.
I enjoyed making this layout and found some fun die-cuts in my recipe iris box of goodies and that fun acrylic die-cut to add to the picture
A couple of pictures of the salad from the beginning to the end. Thank you for stopping by today and looking forward to seeing you creation from this fun challenge this week :)

  2. Oh I do love the colors on this layout Tina! I've never heard of PePe macaroni. You find it with the other noodles in the store?? It looks really good and sounds really tempting! You have me hungry now. lol Your layout turned out fabulous. I love recipe layouts and I love the embellishments you used on this one. Nice to have a break from the humitidy this week! Although I'm not complaining because I've been ready for warm temps. Hugs, Brenda
