The Williamsport Youth Chior

A Layout for LOAD Day 3. The theme that day was Culture and the prompt was Music. This is one side of a future 2 page LO, still have to complete the other side.I knew we recently attended The Williamsport Youth Choir's showing at the City Alliance Church (an old Church here in Williamsport but that is another  story for another day). Our grandson Avery sang in the Choir.
I used my Jan. Counterfeit Kit for this layout I had done it early in the month and had not yet created the Feb kit yet. I found if there is a paper you just don't care for or just to hard to use then use it for the background with a bit sticking out and use a paper you like on top :) Yep I did that with the DCWV Rockstar I had in my kit, I love the paper from the pad but it just wasn't working with me this month, decided to use it that way and that is the way the sketch was too :)
I used a sketch for my layout from Sketch N Scrap sketch #98

this is a cool grid style sketch and a handy one to have on hand :)
A close up of Avery singing, The title block is a copy from the brochure we received. Added my journaling of how wonderful the choir sang.
A nice picture of Avery and the added corner cluster :) Nicole Jones is doing a great class right now on clustering :) I think that watching her videos from her you tube channel is rubbing off and I like it :P
The group picture :) I was surprised how many of the girls I recognized from church. It was good to see them sing, It was good to see them all sing. I'm thinking that this was the only session/season that Avery did, his voice had begun to change (Wow! he's growing up so quick!) so he had to try out again. I know the last time I talked to him his voice was still cracking.
Thank you for stopping by again today, see you soon :)

  1. What a great layout Tina! I love that you went and saw the kids singing like that. I didn't realize that Williamsport had a youth choir, of course have no clue if my own town has a youth choir. lol The church looks pretty and all the kids look like they took this singing very seriously. Love the sketch and love the embellishments you used. Hugs, Brenda

  8. Your kit must be a blessing for LOAD! It sounds & looks like you are broadening your scrappy horizons with some online inspiration - always fun. What a good save with that paper becoming a border.
