Good Morning, ahhh it's Monday! Had a long night last night I hope your Monday is better than mine was. I have a layout I did for the sketchathon challenge sketch #25 and the twist was to add a large title to it:
This is my little great granddaughter Emily, 3 weeks old in these pictures. Her parents took her to the butterfly gardens I guess near their place in South Dakota. This is the sketch:
I kept to the base of the sketch pretty well. the left side has the butterfly transparency that was in my counterfeit kit, thought it worked out well for the theme. Also on another Purple/Scallops challenge #2, so the purple of her butterfly wings fit that theme very well and I brought in the purple background designer pattern paper, the purple hearts paper, purple vellum punched with a recollections punch and added the purple ribbon to cover up the tape.
I shifted the journaling strips so I could have the 2 pictures of her in the wings. I have more pictures to this outing and will do another page to it later this week. The rhinestone butterfly was from last month's kit.
The title block came from a swap a few years back, it's from the cricut imagine and the lady that did it really did a fantastic job on dressing it up. This past week I went through my swap cuts and put a few that I plan to use aside and this one was one of them.
The journaling strips I moved up to the right hand side of the layout, seemed to help with the empty space there. I used my Dymo labler for the strips in the blue.
I tacked down the transparency at each corner with the brad/flower combo from Queen & Comp. Sassy Sequins. Overall I really like the way it turned out. So far all the sketches have been lost of fun to use. This is the last week of the sketchathon so got to get in gear and get er done!
Thanks for stopping by and checking things out :) Have a fantastic day!

I Am A Big Brother
Hi you all :) I hope your having a fantastic weekend. I have been doing laundry and cleaning up a bit here myself. It's a beautiful day so I've hung clothes out to dry, just love spring days like this.
This is a layout I did for the sketchathon over at My Scraps & More forum. This is from sketch #3 and it's from that box of memories that I'm working through this month. Not even a dent into it yet so maybe continuing it through next month also. Just have to wait and see what happens next week with it as I continue with the sketches:
This was the next picture to do that was in my box of memories. Zachary holding his little brother Tristan at the hospital. He looks so proud, can't believe that was over a year ago. Here is the sketch I used:
The only other thing was this one had a twist and some of them will have something else to do with it other than the sketch: This one has just a little twist....add some mist, paint, spray or ink to your page!
I added the sei Tumble Dye mist, that is in my current counterfeit kit, to various spots on the layout It's like a golden yellow, bringing in more yellow from the frame around the picture and the CTMH yellow arrow washi tape. The title work is done with the gold letters in my kit too. The heart swirl was sitting on my desk from another project and I added that to the layout too. The heart swirl file is from Creative Pointe Valentine Hearts set
I used a very old scrapbook kit for the hello baby frame, the heart stickers and the baby/balloon stickers I used my SU chevron punch for the chevron arrows pointing to the picture
My journaling block was from the PL cards that are in my current kit. Also added the baby boy dimensional sticker to cover the noted spot on the card. A good layout for Tristan's 1st year book. All the papers and that fun yellow arrows washi tape is in my current counterfeit kit.
You all have a good weekend :)

The die cuts I received from a swap a long time ago :) Glad that I was able to use them for this. I also used Cotton Candy stickles on the die cuts.

Daddy's Treasure for the April CKC Blog Hop
Hello and welcome to this month's Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog Hop. You should have come to my blog by way of the amazing Julie from Spend Less Craft More
The 3 challenges this month are:
Also I love spring because of all the beautiful colors that are emerging from the dead of winter. So the layout is very colorful with flowers about the layout. This is pun title layout (from another challenge over at the Scrappin N Chattin yahoo group) Daddy's Treasure is Tammy his only daughter born amongst all his boys.
Some up close pictures of the layout. I used my current counterfeit kit for most of the layout but I do keep previous kits close by incase I need anything I especially want on my layout.
This layout is also part of my Box of Memories series that I have been doing on ScrappersChallenge facebook group. The one piece of pattern paper came from the box, I used it for the photomat and for the pennant strip in this bottom corner.
Thank you for stopping by and you can catch my take on challenge #2 later today. Off you go and check out what Mater Forger Margie is doing today for her challenge

My take is on both challenge #1 and #3. I've been doing the Sketchathon challenges this month so the layout was done with Sketch #22:

Spring Thank You Card for CCC
Good Morning :) I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! I sure did, lots of crafting, catching up on blogs, emails and facebook and lots of resting too. Today's card is for the Creative Cutting Challenge Spring theme challenge:
When I think of spring I think of the flowers that are starting to bloom, it's always nice to see the crocus peak out from the snow to show there beautiful color. What better way to say Thank You than with a Bouquet/Vase of pretty flowers. This is one of Creative Point's newest svg files:
You got all the fixins for a really cute bouquet. It sized down perfectly for a card front too. I thought a thank you would be a good way to use this card.
I tried something new in my Silhouette program, by duplicating the vase and then doing a release compound path you then get the solid image. So I used that solid image to cut some vellum to represent water in the vase :) I really like how it came out and it's good to learn something new. I used the orange ribbon in my current counterfeit kit with some sequins and a SU Teeny Tiny Wishes set for the sentiment and the banner is from the Echo Park Sweet Day sticker sheet.
Love that you can use all kinds of scraps to make the flowers for the stems. Various papers from this month's counterfeit kit. I popped up the flower heads with foam tape and added a pink sequin to the one flower's center.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to see your creation over at Creative Cutting Challenge here are the details of the challenge:
MOST IMPORTANT RULE: You MUST use a SVG or similar electronic cutting file in your project. CRICUT CARTRIDGE ONLY ENTRIES ARE NOT ELIGIBLE. Please make sure that you mention somewhere in your post what part of your project was created with a cutting file. Entries that do not fit this basic requirement will be deleted.

Knoebels Then & Now
Good Morning! Hope you all are enjoying this fine Sunday. We are having some fantastic spring weather the last few days. I spent some time outside yesterday hanging up laundry and playing a bit with Buddy. Spring allergies keeps me indoors alot, but sometimes I gotta get out and get some fresh air:) Today's challenge over at Lasting Memories is Family Travel Traditions. We had 2 travel traditions growing up but I focused on the one that Dave and I still do now:
Knobels is an amusement park here in PA that is about 2 hours from my house. As a kid, Mom's work would hold a picnic there each year in June. I was 3 almost 4 in these 2 pictures :) I loved the Whip when I was a kid and this is the one made for the younger set and I was lucky to have a brother that would tag along with me on the rides too he was 9. Now I like the Scenic Skyway ride, even though I'm afraid of heights I get on and hold on tight. This particular set of photos comes from our visit to the park on my birthday 2013, we found out they had a cover bridge festival so decided to check it out. Wow the fall foliage was just gorgeous that day and the perfect way to spend a birthday.
I used the sketch #13 from the sketchathon challenge over at My Scraps and More.
This fun sketch took me less than an hour to put together this layout. I used October Afternoon Midway collection that has been in and out of my counterfeit kits many times, now it just sits by my desk handy for these kinds of layouts :) I used alphas from my current kit for the layout.
My brother Steve and I enjoying the Whip ride. Era: 1966. The thicker & sign was a match to the color blue of the ride cars
Dave and I enjoying the ride Era: 2013 and a picture of what we seen from our view, perfect way to see the whole park from this view.
One of the entrances to the park, super cute photo op too :)
The journaling spot, all the doo dads and that fun border strip came from the OA Midway collection too. This just came together so well, I guess having a kit available has it's advantages (no matter if it's premade or made from your stash) for some fast scrappin.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you join us this week over at Lasting Memories. This is the last week of the challenges so make sure you get them n quickly to play along. This month there is the fun prize of those 3 die cuts being given away.

Hello Again for FFC It's Sketch Time
Hello and welcome to my blog, wow been 10 days since my last post. Only one thing happened while I've been gone our trip to Gettysburg, PA for the Minneapolis Moline Corresponder, Inc. (MMCI) Winter Convention. WOW what a show, but you'll see that in the near future while I make a few layouts of the show and the sightseeing. Speaking of sightseeing I went and investigated one local scrapbook store OMgosh! this store was fantastic! Lots of papers related to Gettysburg that I can't wait to play with and they also have some for the Flight 93 National Memorial too that we saw a few years ago that I been wanting to scrap and now have the right papers I'm thinking to scrap with. So now that I uploaded the pictures to my computer of the weekend need to decide how I'm gonna handle 893 pictures! yep that is right that is what I said! Lots to decipher and decide what to print and not to print (luckily probably a third are reference photos for some of the other pictures.
So enough about what I was doing and lets get to the Funday Friday project for this week. It's Sketch Time this week for Funday Friday over at Jo's Scrap Shack our sponsors this week are: Little Blue Button Stamps and Bugaboo Stamps. I used Little Blue Button Stamps: Watering Plants Ivy for my card today:
and here is the sketch:
I stayed within the look of the sketch other than moving the bow down and the opposite side of the sketch. Such a fun sketch to use too. I used my current counterfeit kit for my card and brought in the silver chrome Viva pearl pen for the water and flower center on the stamp. I colored the stamp with both Spectrum Noir markers and Bic markers.
I used the purple vellum in my kit for the Spellbinders Lacey Circles cut and then cut the stamp out with the Standard circles large cut. The purple and gold color combination is my favorite :)
I used 3 Twenty Crafts: Strike a Pose stamp set for my sentiment that I stamped with memento Tuxedo Black ink on a piece of doily scrap pattern paper that was in a past kit. I used a flower stiker from a MS pack (so glad I added this pack to this month's kit :) and the AC twine. A super fun card to make :)
So that is it, I hope you join us this week over at Jo's here are the details:

He Shoots He Scores
Hello :) So far it's been a pleasant week, lol only Tuesday though so you just never know what may happen :) This is the 2nd layout I did from the box of Memories that I'm working through:
I used this sketch:
This paper is so cool to use for this layout the tie-dye burst just worked out perfect for that sunburst on the sketch and I added a foam basketball for the title pun and the picture fun.
I added a variety of stickers, paper clipart from and old scrapbooking kit, some vellum stickers too
Close up of the left hand side
The paper, the PL card, the die cut stars and the Alphas for the title all came from my current counterfeit kit. That paper clip I got in a bag full of baby scrapbook stuff at a yardsale a few years ago and so glad to get that used and out of my stash, the old clip art came out of that same bag of stuff too.
I'll be using this layout for the Scrap Our Stash Challenge this month of using the word STAMP:
I used:
I'm really enjoying scrapping photos out of this box, there is some newer pictures and some older pictures too. The My Scraps and More sketchathon is really making it fun to scrap them too. Tos see more on sketch Challenge #2 you can see it here on this blog post.

Love Moments With You
Good Morning :) Now back to the normal work week, I hope you all had a fantastic holiday yesterday. This is a short week for me as I will be attending the MGCA hosting the MMCI winter convention in Gettysburg, PA. So lots of crafting in a short period of time this week for my DT spots this coming weekend. But lets start with today's challenge first. This layout was made for the Creative Cutting Challenge Anything Goes:
This layout is of the first time I held my youngest grandson. I waited quite a bit for him to open his eyes. This picture was taken a few days after he was born, I had printed it both in color and b/w. I used Creative Pointe's Valentine Hearts svg file for my layout.
A cool set of hearts that can really be used for lots of themes not just Valentines
So I enlarged the double heart and used that in the center for my title background and I scattered a few of the combine hearts around for borders and embellishment spots. The gold foil words were cut with my cameo, I used 2 Silhouette store files to make up the title.
Added some of the newest trend of nesting with the red twine and my journal spot came from one of the cards in my counterfeit kit, as did the rest of my papers.
Love this besides the pictures I also love the addition of the hearts here for the border element and some fun blue sequins.
This corner spot I took one of the negative cut hearts from the large cut and added a piece of the swirl heart, some more of the twine and the blue sequins.
Here I found the perfect vellum square to use for the layout from my baby theme drawer of stuff added more on the swirl hearts. This was just a fun layout to do and I used this sketch for my layout:
A fun sketchathon is going on over at My Scraps and More for the month of April on their forum board: http://myscrapsandmore.proboards.com. You can see more information here on this blog post.
Some of my crafting this month is going to come about from a box of stuff I found in my craftroom the other night. I boxed up all this stuff from my craft desk right before the Christmas Holiday crafting and put it in this box:
I figured I would start from the top and work all the way through it. So this box is my goal for the month other than the DT themed posts that need done that might not work for those themes.
There is all kinds of stuff in here so this should be fun, a photo envelope too hmmmm I wonder what may be in there? Be a week or 2 before I find out by the way it looks.
