An Easter Layout for Creative Cutting Challenge

Hi you all and welcome to my blog, today is Creative Cutting Challenge Challenge #30 theme is Easter. I love Easter time. For one I have a Lord my savior that died for my sins, for that I am always thankful. But the other reason is the Annual Campbell family Easter Egg Hunt. This year will be our 3rd but the layout I did is from last year the 2nd one we did.
I used my March Counterfeit kit to make this layout happen. Also got some help from Creative Pointe's Easter Headings file:
Easter Headings
I used the Easter script heading for my big title on the Left page of my layout. I also got some help from Stuck On U Sketches for my layout.

I used their current challenge sketch and just flipped it for the 2nd page. This was a fun sketch to work through for the layout.
This is the top section of the left side, the Easter title is done in gold and the same blue pattern paper as the background. The ready-set-go file is from the Silhouette store # 43187 This was a fun phrase to exchange out for the vertical block in the sketch. I just love this picture of the kids running to get their eggs.
The bottom section of the left side has the journaling block and a few picture of the kids searching for eggs. My hubby really has a good time putting up all the candy. Now this hunt was held last year on St. Patrick's Day, still snow on the ground then too, but the day wasn't all that bad, at-least the chocolate wasn't melting :) The fun sticker is from Creative Memories Cheerful sticker pack and the ribbon was just hanging there on my clip up as I was walking by it and seen the jelly beans on it, lol perfect for this layout.
The top right side has the Silhouette file: Design ID #57357. My G-daughter Isabelle showing me her basket and a cute sticker from CTMH Florentie sticker pack. The 2 other pictures showed what they saw when they turned the corner of the house, the bottom one shows the eggs on the ground, but they seemed more interested in the chip tree my husband did up. That was way to funny and the grown ups were having fun too.
The lower section shows my DIL reaching for a piece of candy, yep we had some designated for the adults too. Another piece of  that ribbon (I got in a swap so it was used up just on this layout). Silhouette file: Design ID #8777. My G-Son showing off his basket
Closer shot of the loot they all got and the below shot of that keep calm card.
Everything on this layout came from my March Counterfeit kit, and there are still alot of it left. I think I pulled out just a bit to much :) But it's been fun crafting all month. The only things I pulled in was the ribbon and the journaling spot/scallop piece that came from the sticker pack from last month.

Now the details of the challenge:

A Doll's House

Hi you all welcome back to another post today :) I finished up this layout last night so I wasn't able to post it yesterday. Our G-Son Avery got a part in a local play in 2011:
The layout came about from a sketch challenge over at Stick it Down blog. This is the sketch:

I think I followed it pretty well. A 2-page layout which I rather do :)
The left side on the layout is where I put the newspaper article about the play and the over page to the article has one of the scenes during one of the rehearsals
The interactive piece pulls out with a tab if you wanted to read the aricle. I thought that the bag was a better way to hold the article and the photos that are on top won't get near the newspaper then.
The right side also holds a pocket:
This pocket holds the booklet we got that night at the show.
The 2 photos here cover up the photos that were on the paper, the top photo is one of Avery when he seen the flier for the show and the bottom picture is Avery with his best friend and the story of how he got the part hast to do with her and I think her mother was part of the show and that is how Avery got the part. You just never know where your best friend will take you through your life :)
I placed 2 of the photos on the pocket and the 3rd one where they were taking a bow in the section off the striped paper like in the sketch. The blue scallop edging came from the Creative Memories Cheerful sticker pack (in the March kit :) and the cluster of stickers in place of the title. The triangles scattered around the 2 pages is from the sticker pack from last month's kit that is still hanging around.
The play themed stickers came from a Jolee's boutique Drama Theater sticker pack. Remember this moment is from the CTMH Florentine my stickease pack. The favorite snapshots and the journal card came from Elle's Studio cut-up pack. All the paper used and the washi tape came from my March kit. We enjoyed the show and one we won't ever forget. We went the 1st night and made sure we sat up front so we can see everything. We were so proud when Avery came out, he did a quick look about the audience and a quick smile came upon his face when he saw us, awww just melted my heart. He tried to give us a quick hand wave when it was over right before they took their bow. My husband said "Went out and got some culture tonight" Bless his heart hard to take the country boy to the city if you know what I mean :)

Happy Easter Chickie

Hi You and welcome to my blog, today I'm the designer over at Card A Day Blog and the theme is Easter. The card I featured today is one I made up last year and some how never got it posted :) So now it has it debut.
Sorry about this but I can't give you to much information about the card cause I didn't right this one down, my bad :)
The chick and the card base is most likely from Cricut cartridges and I'm thinking the base came from Elegant Edges. The ribon would have came from my stash and the Happy Easter stamp came from I'm thinking a SU stamp set. I added google eyes to the chick and he is on a wobble.
 Action wobble in progress :)

Thanks for stopping by today, stop back later for another post. I've been following the Stash A Thon Birthday challenges and only have a couple of days left to get all the layouts posted so over the next few day you just may see some double posting :)
I do apologize for the lack of details on this post if anyone out there in bloggy land recognizes anything, leave me a comment and I'll get the information updated. I've tried to keep records of the crafts I do, but sometimes in a hurry it will slip by me

Tag You're It-Funday Friday Challenge

Hi You all! Guess what it's Friday! You know what that means it's tie for another Fun-Day Friday Challenge over at Jo's Scrap Shack! Hello and welcome to my blog, today our sponsor this week is Fitztown and Bugaboo, This weeks challenge: is to create a Tag Mini: this is what I created:
Yep I created a little tag mini album :) I used the Garden 16 set: Butterflies for my album, a little gift for my g-daughter. I used small manilla tags I got at Staples for the base cards.
This is the front cover, I used some of the white birch paper, stamped the CTMH Quick Cards-Butterfly on it and over the past weekend I was playing with perfect pearls and this is one of the stamps I was playing with. Thought it would make a perfect cover for this little album. The letters came from my March Kit. The little pink plastic button came from my stash and so did the purple ribbon tying the album together.
All the butterflies were colored in various mediums: Bic Markers, Smooch, Glitter Glue and a gel pen. Some of the various elements you can place a picture with in the small pocket made by the punched element. Just about all the stamps with-in the album is from 3 Twenty Crafts. On the left hand side I used the hello and star stamp from Strike A Pose set and on the right I used the diva stamp from the same set. Lots of fussy cutting with the butterflies and the one photo mat.

On the left I used lots of scraps from the March kit and the right has some of the washi tape, the little metal button came from my stash. Used the stamp Strike A Pose from the same name stamp set.

The left side has some of the stamps from the Say it From the Heart stamps set and the hello stamp again and on the right the love and hearts stamps form the Strike A Pose set. both the hexagons and the scallop heart is set up to hold a photo with in it.

The left side has another of Fitztown's butterfly and the stamp Joy from The Strike A Pose set. The right side has the stamp My Favorite Things from the Personalize It stamp set and a little metal thing (not really sure what to call it) from my stash (all the extra little pieces came from a RAK)

The left side has another cute butterfly on a scallop and circle punches (both from SU) Edges inked with Broken China distress ink. The butterfly was glittered up. The special friend and the Celebrate You stamp on the right hand side came from the stamps set Simple Sentiments. Lots of pennants, scallops and washi tape on this 2 pages and the ability to add a picture with the scallop circle spot.

This is the back page with another one of the cute butterflies from that set as you can see from the left picture where you can include the photos behind the various spots within the album. This was a fun album, I worked on it while I was watching the Big Picture Classes Pajama Party, felt like I was crafting with other girls tonight which does make it fun :)
This is what my desk was looking like while I was crafting up this little album, yep will be cleaning that up tomorrow, go alot of scrapping to do over the weekend :) Now to the good stuff:

You and Me Layout

Good Morning you all, I had a fun weekend and was using some crackle paint, been a long time since I had and found it all dried up, but a little water helped loosen it right up. This is what I did with it:
This is a layout based on a sketch that I found: Friday Challenge - Sketch + Buttons & Bling!at Frosted Designs

I used the purple crackle paint just like it says to do in Tim Holtz's you tube videos about it. I inked it with Broken china and Walnut stain. I used CTMH stamp set: , and added a sticker from the CM stickers pack from the March counterfeit kit. Added another paperclip-speech bubble and a button from the kit. added sequins to draw in some red and for the bling. A pennant cut in half and a rub-on, both from the kit. PL card I think from the Honey core pack for the photo mat fussy cut to bring the star to the front
Added another sticker from the CM pack and a sticker from the CTMH heart pack also, just seem like this corner needed something.
The other photo includes and another PL-Honey core kit mat card fussy cut, glitter tape from the kit, a cut off from the paper edge that CTMH includes so you can use it all up :) and some more of the crackle paint. The card is from We Are Memory Keepers-Chalkboard pack. The top left corner has a blue bubble sticker and an Elle's Studio cut both from the kit.
(Just a few of the Elle's Studio's cuts left and that pack is gone :) I don't know if I'll kill my kit this month, but should be able to kill the cut-up pack of Elle's studio. The paper is from the kit: The CTMH Buzz & Bumble scrapbook kit, getting closer to killing that pack, got to give CTMH props on their workshops you can get quite a few layouts and cards from one of those packs

Easter Chick Card-Card A Day

Hi you all welcome, today I'm the designer over at Card A Day Blog and the theme is Easter. So I looked through my stash of pre-made cuts so I could do a quick card up and found out I had very little cuts for Easter, but I did find this little Chick:
So this little guy I'm thinking came from one of the create a critter cartridges. I got him and the card base in a swap back in 2012 when I was in alot of cut swap groups on facebook. Now this is a fantastic way to build up a stash of cuts very quickly. One problem is that it can build up and you don't use them then you can have a huge mess. So with that in mind I have started the process of getting them out of their envelopes and into a binder by theme. So if I'm pressed for time I can make a card relatively quickly like this one.
I stamped the top part of the egg with SU: Teeny Tiny Wishes: Happy Easter stamp with memento black tuxedo ink, popped it up with one thickness of foam tape:
added a few sequins and a star sequin to draw i my green and a blue one too. Other than the cardbase the rest of the paper is from my March Counterfeit kit :)
Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world ....

March Counterfeit Kit Blog Hop-Polish Cannon

Welcome to March's Blog Hop from the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog. If you came from Lisa's blog Recklinghausen Musings... your on the right track and If your just starting the hop, then you'll want to go to the beginning at  CKCB, so you can see all the ladies' contributions. The challenges this month are:
  1. Challenge #1 Water Color Challenge:  Use a water color technique on your project!
  2. Challenge #2 Let's get inspired by Jennifer! - Find something on Jennifer's Blog and create a project based on it.  Please make sure to share a link with your original inspiration.
  3. Challenge #3 Background texture  - Add texture to your background
I choose  to do number 2, inspiration from Jennifer's Blog. I'm on her email list and when I seen this post I knew that I want to give the sketch a try and I also loved Jennifer's rendition of it. I struggle with layers so sketches help with that and when I see other crafters doing it then that just helps me more :)
It was her post from Feb. 4, 2013-Muddy Puddles was the theme of the page  this was her image:
Muddy Puddles layout by Jennifer Grace
Isn't that just a fun page:) I thought it was and just love all the speckles dots and spritzs on the layout
Feb 2014 SJ Crafts Challenge - Sketch by Jennifer Grace
This was the sketch. My version has my journaling block down a bit into the bottom border since I used a 3X4 journaling blocks (all the 3 X 4 blocks are from the PL-Jade core kit.
Because of the theme of my layout I pulled out a sheet of CTMH Superhero paper pack for the little mat behind the final photo (loved that idea from Jennifer). This was so much fun to watch Brandon wanting to know what this thing was when Dave brought it out.
It does make a big pop noise so the variety of words on the sheet fit and I sprinkled a few around the layout. We are usually the ones going up to NY to see them so it's a treat for us when they come down for a visit.
Everything else came from my March kit. The banner (inspiration from Jennifer's layout I just moved it) , the little bits and pieces came from Elle's Studio pack (that only has a few pieces left, yay I just may finish it off this month :) Also used some of the bubble stickers I notice the one cut piece had pink in it so I drew from that too and brought in the smile and the circle one. The heart strip came from the Amy Tan pack I pulled and I scattered the gold rhinestones all over the place.
This was just a fun layout to do and I'm so glad that I had all this inspiration fro Jennifer's Blog to help me with it :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog today and have lots of fun hopping around from blog to blog.Your next stop on the hop is Leslie at Out of the Mire
