The Rialto Theater LO for Use Your Stuff challenge

Good Morning and welcome to a new week and a new challenge over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog. This week's challenge is VINTAGE.
So this could be some vintage papers, a vintage photo, a vintage technique, use your imagination and use your stuff! :)
This is photos and a stop on that historical downtown Williamsport walking tour I took. This theater actually has special memories as this was the 1st theater I got to go to by myself and saw the movie Willard (yes I was a thriller movie junkie :) We had 3 Movie theaters in town at that time.
The architect to this building is amazing.
Information about the building from the tour
My own memory for my journaling

This was also a LOAD218 Day12 layout. The prompt was about change
Change: changes for me growing up, changed up the sketch that I used for the layout by rotating it.   I used my past counterfeit kit: Pretty Little Pastimes for the layout inspiration that had some vintage papers in it.
Thanks for stopping by today to see what I'm up too in my little corner of the world.

Friends layout for Use Your Stuff challenge

Good Morning and welcome to this week's challenge over at Use Your Stuff blog. The challenge this week is create a project about "Friendship".
This is a layout I created about  Our friendship with members of an organization we belong, we have met so many through the club and grown to be close friends that we atleast plan a vacation/holiday a year with them. A fun quick layout with pictures from one of the days together:
Some fun pictures from that day. We do enjoy seeing things like this together.
The inspiration for this layout came from LOAD218 Day 17 and this quote:
https://www.scraphappy.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/LOAD218-Day-17-quote.png
inspired the layout as our friendship we travel to see and be with them. Also this prompt: How have your friends helped you become the person you are now? My journaling explains the answer to this question. I used my February counterfeit kit: Pretty Little Pastimes.
close up pictures of the layout and
 the journaling I did.
This shows that Family is more than just blood relatives, it's also the friends that we have in our lives that matter.
Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing what you create for this fun challenge over at Use Your Stuff blog.

European Sterling layout for Use Your Stuff challenge

We were challenged this week to use Animals for our project :) I got to go no further than my own house as we have a pooch that shares it with us, but also the front yard as I'm an avid birderer too so will see many feather friends too. This layout is about one of the birds we see in the winter time at the feeders
This layout was created for LOAD218 Day 27 One of the 3 prompts was Create a page about Wildlife. Even though we recently went to a zoo, wildlife for me is to look through my bird pictures :) Using just a project life card from my February counterfeit kit: Pretty Little Pasttimes, the rest came from my stash
The journaling about the bird, I do enjoy scrapping about birds
Some close up pictures of the layout and using some raw chipboard for my clusters too

Thank you for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge of Animals over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog.

Discover layout for Lasting Memories Scrapbook challenge

Good Morning :) I hope you are enjoying your weekend, we are finally having a beautiful one here in my area :) and were also enthralled with the Little League World Series in our area. Can you believe that August is just about over! and Summer is just about over too, we know where that went in our area.....Rain Rain and more Rain, but it was nice to see the Sun yesterday :)
Now let's talk challenges! Lasting Memories last challenge of the month is a fun one. Our theme for August has been - Transportation - and our final challenge of the month is:

LM #410 - Transportation - I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike.  Now we want to see bikes on your layouts!

This can be bikes in photos, on the papers, or in the embellishments.
This is the layout I made using bikes for embellishments and on my paper too:
It's fascinating what you see along the roads when you take vacations that involve some driving at the city your at. This is what we saw right after we left the Flight 93 Memorial a very interesting looking barn indeed. They have a few of these down in this area . Used 2 PL cards from my February counterfeit kit: Pretty Little Pastimes.
This layout was also created during LOAD218 for the Day 28 prompt: (out of 3 choices of prompts this is the one I chose):What has travel revealed about yourself? Such an easy, fast layout :)
I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook challenge.

Love the New Snow layout for a Use Your Stuff challenge

Hello and welcome back :) This is my 2nd post of the day. If you are looking for the Stick It Down post you can find that here.
Welcome to a new challenge today!   This time around we're looking for monochromatic projects that Use Your Stuff!  This is a great challenge to use up different shades of a color that you have a lot of in your stash... or showcase a favorite color, or whatever way you are inspired !
I challenged myself to use Green that was in my counterfeit kit in February: Pretty Little Pastimes
for this layout as this was the challenge for Day 16 of LOAD218. Love the pop of green with the daffodil photo and drew my color scheme from that. The white of the snow just pops off the green background
Using a variety of green on the layout even the puffy word stickers had a hint of green on them.
 Love this picture
Love that I was able to do my journaling with the green strips of pattern paper too.
What a wonderful day to take pictures of the birds too.
Thank you for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge over at Use Your Stuff!

Slap Happy layout for a Use Your Stuff challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) Chris has challenge us this week to see projects about Easter or Spring over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog. I went with a sweet Spring day for a layout:
A nice Spring day captured :) This was day 14 prompt of LOAD218 A morning we spent together :) Getting flower bulbs and then planing them too :) Prompt was to honor a strong woman (even ourself), using Red, Pink, White color scheme and/or some hearts. So I used all 3 prompts for the day.
 My journaling
My title and acrylic word I received with my Cheeky Studio
package I received for a previous DT assignment. The flower diecuts came from that package too. I also used my Feb counterfeit kit: Pretty Little Pastimes for the background paper and the chipboard embellishments
 Close up of the pictures.
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation to this fun challenge this week over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog.

Song Sparrow layout for Lasting Memories challenge

Good Morning :) and welcome to the last challenge of the month over at Lasting Memories layout challenges:
Today we have a new challenge for the week. Our theme for March has been - March - National Month Of... and this week's challenge is:

LM #388 - Red Cross Month

Create a layout that has Red/White color scheme (can have the plus signs too that have been so popular lately) or if you ever did anything or received anything for the Red Cross tell us about that :)

I went with the Red/ White color theme:
This layout was created during LOAD218: Day 23: The prompt I chose was Where do you find art in your daily life? What is something that is beautiful and makes your life just a little bit nicer because of it?        Nature is God's Art and I look to it often for beauty and artsy appeal too :) Using my February counterfeit kit for this layout. Sparrows are one of the hardest of the birds that visit our feeders to identify, but with lots of sources I think I've narrowed this one down to be a Song Sparrow :)
Using of variations of Red and White to my layout. Red letters for my tile and a white pattern paper for my background
a project life card for my journaling and very limited on embellishments for this layout to make the pictures really shine. One thing about LOAD is I don't take the time to over think the layout so I can get it done very fast.
Love these pictures of this young bird in the feeder. Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creations for this fun topic and thank you for playing along with my hosted month over at Lasting Memories layout challenges blog.

Noon layout

Good morning and welcome :) Today's layout is a combination of last month's counterfeit kit Pretty Little Pastimes and this month's kit Florally Whimsy.
This came about for the scrap-a-thon that Nicole Jones is doing (a class of her's for this month.) The focus was project Life cards and I got 5 of them on this layout. Used them mainly for layering. Using a scrap of paper from last months kit with the full background paper of this months kit for my base and the rest is project life cards from last months kit. Added the title and the 5 green puffy stars for the embellishing. That was it a simple layout for me to get done in a hurry and another for the Portersville, PA vacation trip.
Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creations from your Counterfeit kit.

Now here's the double page sketch for this month!

and this is what I created:
I've been created alot layouts this year with the goal of getting Vacations/Roadtrips done so been doing alot of double page layouts this year :) This sketch was so fun to use too. I loved adding the grid of photos to that empty spot in the left hand corner of the layout. Changed it up just a wee bit to add my title but stayed pretty close to the original sketch. Using paper from my 2nd 100 pattern paper pile for this layout and the project life card came from my counterfeit kit: Pretty Little Pastimes
Close up photos of the layout:
The left hand side of the layout
The right hand side of the layout
My journaling, plus I added some silver metallic thread to the layout

Close up of the grid of photos. I also added the information that we wrote down of the pictures
Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world.
You have until the end of the month to play along with any - or all! - of our sketch challenges. Link up is over at Stick It Down. One winner from each sketch will be chosen and invited back as a guest designer. We also have Lottie Loves Paper sponsoring a prize for one random participant! LLP is offering a £20 voucher to spend in the online shop!

Fire!!! Did You Know challenge for Lasting Memories Layout challenge

Hi you all :) Been scrapping daily :) so still going with my goal this year :) It's been fun too reminiscing with older vacation photos also.
Today is a new month of challenges over at Lasting Memories Layout challenges. We start of with March challenges with the theme of Did You Know....- March National Month Of... and we will be focusing on little-known facts/holidays in March.
Did you know that March was named for the Roman God "Mars"? Mars was the god of war and also an agricultural guardian. So our challenge to you is:

LM #384 - Create a layout about war (think a layout of a war hero, museum-area about war (Gettysburg)...) OR an agricultural/farm layout (which this could cover just about anything with farming - food, animals, seasons....)
So many choices of photos for this theme! So I went with the photos on my scrappy desk that I've been creating with and found these photos of cool pictures of an Civil War Reenactment:
A very simple layout for today and this is also LOAD218 Day 25 prompt too. I used the choice of an old scrappy tool which was my crimper. I used my current counterfeit kit: Pretty Little Pastimes
These pictures came from when we were at the Portersville Steam Show in 2004. Cool to take the time out of the busy day of events and take a step back in time.
A simple layout with a simple title and some journaling for a quick layout that focused on the photos and the time period.
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing what you create for this challenge :)

Portersville Steam Show layout for Use Your Stuff challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) to challenge #300 over at Use Your Stuff blog. I'm the hostess today over at Use Your Stuff challenge for this challenge of Twinkle Twinkle - Use something sparkly on your project.
I used stickles to add some sparkle to my layout, using some night paper makes it really match up well with The Twinkle, Twinkle of the challenge:
This layout came about from LOAD218 Day 2 prompt: This inspiring quote:
Gustave Flaubert quote
and to use tiny elements on the page and a galaxy theme :) So I dug into my stash for the black starry paper to add to the layout and then added the stickles that is in my current counterfeit kit: Pretty Little Pastimes for the sparkle :)
This layout will be the cover page leading into a weekend getaway trip. The 1st overnight trip we had been on since our Honeymoon in 1993. 11 years later I finally got the hubby to go somewhere else for his birthday than just the local antique tractor show. With a conversation with one of his friends about the show he made the plans for us to go :) I had been there before doing embroidery and had told him of the show too :) This is the beginning of a fun relationship we have with attending Antique Tractor Shows. Since he is now a Mechanic Tech that is on the road alot it is no problem with us taking off for a daytrip or a weekend trip :) Back then it really was different, he's come along way since then.
Few of the tractors I took pictures of at the show :)
 My title work
and the final picture :) even a masculine layout can have some glitter to it used in the right way :) Adding the stickles to the circles on the black paper makes it look like a twinkly night :)
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge too over at Use Your Stuff blog.

Together for a Sketches In Thyme Project Life Style challenge

Good Morning and Welcome to the 2nd half of the month's challenge over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style :) Today we have this cool sketch to use, me I used it for my journaling card on my layout:
No automatic alt text available.
this is what I created with this sketch:
Now this card goes with this layout:
A layout created from LOAD218 day 15: I can do anything! Something hard of difficult.
The large photo is of my younger kids :) Thank goodness for these large portrait style photos for I'm not one to have large photos around as I don't scrap them that often and at the moment I'm out of ink for my printer :) I told a story of my greatest joy at that time with the kids as being a single mom there are plenty of hard  and difficult stories to tell and way to much to tell on one scrapbook page :) so choose a simple memory :)
 The card on the layout
Details of the layout including the fussy cut flowers. I used my current counterfeit kit: Pretty Little Pastimes for the card the paper that I fussy cut the flowers from and the enamel dots
and a close up of the kids :)
Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge over at  Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style :)
