Hour After Hour LO for Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Good morning and welcome :) Here's the 2nd challenge of the month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Julene is our host this month and her challenge is:

 Welcome back to CKC. Today we look at Challenge #2. 

I love using up leftover bits and pieces on my layouts. 

So today I'm asking you to use leftover numbers as part of your background. 

They can be from sets of alphas or elsewhere. Maybe you actually have paper with numbers on it. 

You can use paints etc to match it to the kit colours if you need to. Be creative! 

Challenge on! I used my number Thickers and the distress oxide spray in my kit and made a mixed media background for my layout:

The Saturday I packed up my scraproom for the move the next day. I put in a bunch of hours that day packing it up so the numbers worked out well for the reference of what was taking place. I used my kit New Beginnings for all the things with the layout :)

Best Ever LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

 Good Morning and welcome. Here we are in the middle of May, it's been a beautiful week! The temperatures have been in the 70's to 80's so great Spring weather .

We got a fun challenge over at Sketch N Scrap for the day. This sketch was created by Lori

I created this layout with it:

I added another picture to the layout and some bit more embellishing too but this sketch was a blast to use and is great for layering scraps of papers. I followed along with LOAD today for my story and I used my current counterfeit kit New Beginnings for my paper and embellishment selections. The pictures were take last year this same weekend.

Good Morning and welcome :) We are starting to see some warmer weather here where I live and lots of Spring flowers popping up here and there. We are celebrating the 11th Birthday of  Sketch N Scrap with a big sketch party over at the Facebook community page. I was in the process of moving so most of the photos that I have been scrapping lately shows variations of the process. I used my current counterfeit kit: New Beginnings the one base paper and the rest are all scraps.

CKC - May 2023 Kit Reveal - New Beginnings

Welcome to my blog and happy May after a month off I'm glad to be back playing with paper again! It's the 1st of the month and that means a new inspiration kit over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog, but 1st you should have arrived here from Christine's youtube channel, I'm looking forward to checking out her kit and see what inspired her. We are thrilled to have Sheryle join us as Guest Forger and you can see her kit on our Facebook community page.

Julene is our host this month she says:

I've chosen "Noteworthy" Limitless Kit – {Not} Just for Boys Kit Club (notjustforboyskitclub.com)

I wanted something different to pinks and peaches. 

Some of us have male photos to scrap and this works for that. I can also visualize it being used for Heritage layouts. There's neutrals if you want to go that way also. 

I'm old enough to also think it has a retro vibe. That circle paper reminds me of wallpaper!

I love Not Just For Boys kit club! So I was glad to see this for our inspiration and one that I had not bought so more fun as to pull the kit from with in my stash! 

Here is my kit for May:

New Beginnings

The full kit I stayed pretty close to the colors of the inspiration kit and enjoyed that it had mixed media and had a chance to add that to the kit too.

Papers:

The papers came from a variety of paper pads I have that I was looking through as I was putting them away. Lots of neutrals, yellows, greens some blues and the keys paper are in a multicolor paper with a pop of black too

Alot of the items I pulled for embellishing is well loved packages of stickers, die cuts, alphas and words, sprays and mousse for stencilling. I will be pulling in the wood buttons on the inspiration as soon as I locate mine :) 

This kit certainly reminds me of the new beginnings of Spring and for my own life some new beginnings for me too :) I'll be enjoying scrapping this month with iNSD and LOAD I'll get the kit plenty used too.
