Happy Birthday Card for a Sketch n Scrap card challenge

Good morning and welcome to the 1st card sketch over at Sketch N Scrap challenge blog. I just loved this card sketch, its a fun one from Heather Hall

I created a Birthday Card for two of my Grandsons with the sketch:

 and this one

I even used my BASHket for that doily circle and the wood veneer 2. As I'm playing along with #calvinball2021 and #scraphappy for the points of using items in my stash. I have a drawer dedicated to my Birthday supplies so pretty easy to pull a birthday card together :) Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and I can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.

Wayne County's Glass Layout for Stick It Down challenge

Hello and welcome  :) Today is Stick It Down's double page layout sketch and this month we have a fun sponsor over at Stick It Down too:

Handipaper is a digital craft store, where you will find printables, clipart sets and a wide variety of digital cutting files for scrapbookers, cardmakers and DIY lovers.

We have a fun sketch this month to play with:
This is what I created with the sketch:
I've been scrapping a fun day trip this past week and this was one of the cool exhibits at the museum. Using both my current counterfeit kit: Spring Cleaning and last month's counterfeit kit: Backyard Oasis (the floral paper) plus 14 items from my BASHket made for a fun layout.
The left side I used 2 photos for the large photo, I almost always play with 4x6 photos so for me this is the easiest way to do the large photos when the sketch call for it :) the journaling block was a fussy cut out piece from a cut apart that is in my current kit. Added some fun pieces for my BASHket too.
The right side has 3 photos as I took a photo oh the sign and used that for my title. more cut aparts and pieces from my BASHket. This layout is part of my Honesdale, PA Roadtrip.
Thank you for stopping by today to see what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I look forward to seeing what you create with this fun sketch over at Stick It Down challenge blog

The papers all came from a pile of scraps I had sitting in my room :) The vellum Valentine's word came from my current counterfeit kit: Springtime Fresh.

Stars n Swirls for Sketch N Scrap Challenge

Good Morning and welcome. Today we have a card sketch for the challenge over at Sketch~N~Scrap blog. The card sketch we are playing with today is from Lisa:
Image may contain: text
A fun versatile card sketch that can be used for a variety of themes. I have Birthdays coming up in April so I went with a birthday card:

I used 2 different embossing folders for my card. Fussy cut the sentiment spot (from my BASHkit) and added the stamped sentiment to the card. A little ribbon over the center of the card for a bit of added texture.
Added another sentiment to the inside and now it's ready to be signed and mailed out.
I hope you all join us for this challenge and I look forward to seeing what you create and link up over at Sketch~N~Scrap layout.

AJ's Birthday Pool Party for LM challenge

Hello and how are you on this fine day! Well I survived a chest/head cold, the new time change, new hours at work and the blizzard of 2017! Wow March has been some kind of month so far. We got more white stuff overnight to brighten the 1st day of spring tomorrow. I'm looking forward to getting back in the swing of scrapping and cardmaking for the rest of the month of March got lots to catch up if I even want to get close to anyones stats over at Get It Scrap for Calvinball. But that is another story for another day. Today is the challenge over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge and DT sis Sandy has challenged us to use 3 tags on our a layout this week with the option of using a Birthday Layout.
AJ wanted a pool party for his birthday this past year, so it was fun to attend the party. AJ was sure enjoying it. I used 3 tags: one for the title area, one for the date of the event and one for the journaling.
The left side of the layout is all about AJ, it's his party and he should be center of attention :) I've been enjoying my current counterfeit kit: Social Butterfly and used up 3 papers, 3 tags and 4 metal pieces (I think they were in the kit too :) on this layout. The AJ chipboard is from letters in last month's kit and the Happy Birthday piece was in my Bashket basket, getting closer to getting all the chosen items in that basket used up :)
The right side is identical to the left in paper layout other than the Be Happy card that was cut down for the spot and extra pieces used in the layout. Variety of pictures from the day, including a 3 generation picture and cute picture of Andrea at full smile, visiting with Brad and Elias n Zachary enjoying the pool. I didn't think it needed alot of embellishing with the layers of pattern paper used.
 Journaling spot
3 generation picture :) Atleast I was able to get AJ to look at the camera, Pap Campbell looking at his grandson and Albert, well what can I say :)
 Title block
The last tag used for the event day and included his age with his real birth date.
I was able to use this for alot of challenges. Counterfeit Kit Challenge #2 Spring Showers using something wet or a twist to use pool/beach/water pictures. Challenge of green over at SNC. Challenge at the Paper Issues Fans & Friends FB page crop of Live Out Loud challenge to only use Pattern Papers embellish as needed :)
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope to see your 3 tag creation linked up to Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge

Addicted to Scrapbooking

If you are looking for today's Use Your Stuff post you can find it here.

Hello I'm back with another blog post :) The one thing I promised myself I wouldn't do was wait to the last minute to post about challenges this month and do it in a timely manner, well that didn't happen. Guess I better work on that next month during Calvinball.
This layout came about from LOAD217 DAY 2: Symbols What is your symbol? What represents you?
I would have to say what my symbol is, what represents me the most is the camera, but scrapbooking in general is a good representation of me. So the camera, books n paper with the pencil (journaling) I pulled together this morning (Feb 2) to create my symbol. This was a really fun prompt it really had me thinking quite a bit at work last night about my own life and so glad that I came full circle to back with the camera and scrapbooking as I feel that is when I'm most blessed and having fun.
I used the sketch over at Let's Get Sketchy for my inspiration for this layout:

and a moodboard. Thankfully my Jan counterfeit kit: Glacially Toasted had some pink in it and all those florals to create with.
I fussy cut the paper to be usable for the title and still work with the sketch. My journaling. I used some fun veneer that I got from my "bash" kit too
This fun picture of me with the camera came from the date night with the hubby when we went out for dinner at a stationery train here in Williamsport at the Transportation Museum. (Future layout) found the fun meme on line. Thanks for stopping by today.

and this is what I created with this sketch:
I had fun creating this card using past and present counterfeit kits (scraps from each) and grab the sentiment from my 'BASH'kit
The inside of the card is ready for the message to write when the time takes place that I need it.
Thank you for stopping by today and hope to see your creation from this sketch up on the Sketch~N~Scrap blog.

Bride LO for LOAD

If you are looking for the Sketch~N~Scrap layout today you can find it here

Hello and welcome back to my blog. This layout was created Scrap Happy and for today's prompt for LOAD217:

Today is Day 15. Beauty/Helen of Troy
Remember that contest of which goddess was the fairest? Paris was awarded Helen of Troy, the most beautiful woman in the world and the face that launched a thousand ships. Helen was the daughter of Zeus and Leda (a human).
Share a photo of yourself that makes you feel beautiful. When was it taken? Who took it? Why do you love it? Share a list of things that you find beautiful.
This is a picture of me on my Wedding Day. This is probably one of the few days in my life that I felt most beautiful, being pregnant and carrying my children is another day. My journaling centers around me feeling beautiful that day.
The sketch I used for the layout:
https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/ef/ea/f1/efeaf156093baea7c007dbd3aa8dcf68.jpg
It was a fun sketch to play with :) for this layout. Close ups of the layout:

I dug into some old stickers for the title for this layout and the flower came from my 'Bash'kit.
Another flower and the rhinstones was in my stash awhile too. The sticker border came from that bashkit too. The papers came from counterfeit kit: Glacially Toasted
The journaling.
Thanks for stopping by once more today :) LOAD has been a blast this month with the Greek Mythology theme and it's been fun to wrap a story around each god and goddess of that time period :)

Then & Now layout for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) Today is the 15th and that is the day for a layout sketch over at Sketch N Scrap.
http://sketchnscrap.blogspot.com/2017/02/sketch-n-scrap-123.html
Isn't this a fun sketch! I had a blast using it for this layout:
This layout also came about from LOAD217 DAY 12: Hera Do you use comparison as a force for good? Compare something on your layout. It was cool to come across these pictures of the grandkids from North Dakota on Facebook and knew it would make a fantastic layout. We just don't get to see them as a group like this anymore and for us as Grandparents and the miles in-between we don't get to see them much at all. I used my current counterfeit kit: A Few of My Favorite Things for the alphas and the embellishments as well as the journaling card. 'Bash'kit for the blue flower and I bashed all those blue pearls too :) Always nice to see an embellishment pack finished up and thrown out :)
 Close up of the photos
Close up of the journaling. I used part of my counterfeit kit: A Few of My Favorite Things for this layout, too.
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation with this fun sketch over at Sketch ~N~Scrap

Prime Select Wine for LOAD Day 4

Good Morning and welcome :) Well LOAD is in full swing and I have been busy make a Layout each Day so far in February. This year I was privileged to be one of the designers for a layout for the month and today is my first DT layout for LOAD. For all information about the 217 LOAD
you can find it at Scrap Happy Today's Prompt is:

Day 4. Celebrate/Dionysus
Dionysus is a son of Zeus and the god of wine and theatre. He taught farmers to grow vines, pick grapes, hold them for ripening and press them into wine. As god of wine and theatre Dionysus enjoyed a good celebration.

What is something you’ve celebrated recently? (or go back and tell a story of a great celebration from your past)
This is how I interrupt it:
When I read the above prompt I knew the exact pictures I wanted to scrap, now where are they! Through one afternoon I located these pictures (and a lot more to scrap in the future :) of my husband pressing grapes to make homemade wine. Here are some close ups and the journaling
I used a paper from my 100 pattern paper challenge plus some scraps from that same pile. the date came from stickers that were in my Jan. CKC: Glacially Toasted kit. The wood veneer is from my "BASH"kit. Cool to have so many things available and at my finger tips to grab when needed :)

Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world....

How Cute Are You?! for a Lasting Memories Scrapbook Layout Challenge

Good Afternoon you all :) I hope this Sunday has been a good day for you so far. I was up way to late scrapping this layout and then the old PC was being sluggish so I only got the layout up on the LM site and decided to blog it today. Yep April is the month that I'm looking at to get me a new laptop! So over this old PC but it works for what I need at the moment, just way to slow!
So this Month's challenge is being Hosted by Michele and here theme is:
ALL IN THE NAME OF LOVE!!

LM 329 - Use your STUFF - Use a product that starts with each letter of the word LOVE.

I used Layers, Orange, Vellum, Enamel Dots

That big Orange Striped star was in my "BASH"kit this month so I was glad to use that up on this layout and worked out perfect for my needed O in the word LOVE.
The rest of the layout came from my current counterfeit kit: Glacially Toasted other than the vellum I used grabbed that from my vellum folder (I am just a wee bit organized when it comes to theme and specialty papers :) That folder is getting a bit light OMgosh I may have to go out shopping for more vellum! But for now I still have a few pieces to get met through for a bit of the spring scrapping.
I used the current sketch over at Let's Get Sketchy for my inspiration for my layout:

Using the star for the photo mat that they had in the sketch :) This was a fun and quick layout to put together with this sketch.
Fun grabbing the diecut and the acrylic tags from my kit and made the journaling card for part of one of the paper layers that would have been unseen.
The cute title came from one of the stickers that I have from one of the sheets of stickers from the sticker challenge over in the FB group 100 Pattern Paper Challenge group. Lots of layers including that vellum layer.
Used some staples to hold down some of the elements of the layout. Enamel dots to finish off the letters of the word LOVE. This was a fun challenge
This picture of Zachary has been around for quite awhile and so glad to finally get it on a scrapbook page. It's fun to do the current photos, but it's fun to go back and see him at this size too :) Lots more photos of him and the other grandbabies that need to be scrapped yet, just not enough time in the week, retirement another 10 years away yet so do what I can for now. Just need to make sure I add the day and the story to the pictures now so they are not forgotten.
Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up too in my little corner of the world and I look forward to seeing what you all create with the letters L-O-V-E
