Good Morning :) Today over at Use Your Stuff our DT sister Karrie is challenging us to use up our stuff!! Yeah that's what we' re always all about
here, so this time dig into your patterned papers because we want to see
you use 5 or more on your project!
Here is the layout I created using 5 pattern papers:
This layout came about from LOAD1017 Day11: I've got a secret...... …place – somewhere you’ve always loved to be.
My home is always my
favorite place to be the good the bad and the ugly at times, but always
my favorite :) through past LOADs I have scrap many stories about my
home and each year just a walkabout on the property gives me the reasons
why my home is my fav place to be :) Some of the sunflowers that grew
this year within the small pumpkin patch we had. Sketch over at
Scrapbook Generations the free sketch during their crop this past
weekend. The title chipboard has been in my stash a long time so glad I
finally found a place to use it :)
I used 5 different pattern papers that came from my old 100 Pattern Paper pile (in the process of putting a new one together to use this upcoming year :) as a challenge in October for our 100 Pattern Paper facebook group.
Some close ups of the layout. My journaling
5 pattern papers: the background paper, the photo mat paper and seperate framed paper too, the border stripe paper is the oldest paper on this layout coming from 2008 and the orange stripe paper was a branding strip :) Using washi tape for the other border, stickers from a fall collection I have, strips of dazzles stickers and enamel dots to finish it off :)
That is a chipboard piece that I've been trying to use and finally found a place to use it :)
A close up of one of the sunflowers and that fits Scrappy Sisters Scrap September challenge Day 18: Close-up.
Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog.

Chowder Head layout
Good Afternoon :) This layout was inspired by LOAD 1017 Day 9: …nickname – hopefully you had an immediate thought for this one.
Yes I did it's a nickname my hubby gave to our Buddy, our furry friend.
Love the layers that was matting the photo for this layout :) The border strips was like a frame for the layout. I also used 2 other challenges for this layout for the Scrappy Sisters Scrap September day 4: 3 colors: blue, off green and white. For Scrappin N Chattin yahoo group this is for the Navy Day challenge using Navy the most in the layout (a variety of blues indeed)
Close up of the journaling

Yes I did it's a nickname my hubby gave to our Buddy, our furry friend.
This is our Chowder Head aka
Buddy. When I seen the prompt about nickname I knew I had to do this
layout about Buddy. I used a recent photo of him:
I used the Oct 1st sketch over at Let's Get Sketchy:
Close up of the journaling
The title and bottom cluster
and some of the other cluster work on the layout.
Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world ........

2017 Fall Pickings for Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style challenge
If you are looking for the Sketch N Scrap post you can find it here
Hello again :) My 2nd post of the day is using this fun sketch over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style. The mid month sketch for October is courtesy of the talented Emma Pescott: Emma has created a great journaling card for us to work with:
I created a fun card to go with my layout:
Fall has finally come to Pennsylvania and we are finally seeing the color changes here. We generally grow pumpkins each year for the grands to choose on and then make a craving party out of it and have them decorate our house too :) Well this year it isn't happening with the yield we ended up with pumpkins. We do have pumpkins for them to choose from but that is about it :)
A fun layout out I created with one of this month's Page Maps sketches:
I flipped the sketch and I also used 1 photo for the 2 small photos. Cool sketch :)
My journaling card when where they had their journaling at :)
Buddy made for a very nice photo with the wagon full of pumpkins this year.
The pumpkins that we grew, oh my not even a dozen! But we have some for the grands to choose from if they come by soon, I noticed yesterday that a few are rotting already.
I used this layout for LOAD1017 Day 14: …musical gift – these are about as much as I am capable of! I went off prompt and created this layout. I did try to play an instrument in band in my Jr High years, but it didn't amount to much a few lessons and that was it and no pictures and not much of a memory for a whole scrapbook page layout. So went with a fall layout page instead.
This layout also falls under Scrappy Sisters Scrap September Day 27: Use Scraps: All scraps on this layout except the background paper. I've got about 3 or 4 collections of fall paper scraps together in a baggy with the left over papers from another collection that I'm trying to use up before cutting into a new fall paper pad I got with my birthday GC at Michaels.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a fantastic day today!

Artsy for Sketch N Scrap challenge
Today's challenge over at Sketch N Scrap is this fun sketch by Heather:
Title and journaling. The orange paper is a Doodlebug paper from 2002. Also this paper came from my current counterfeit kit. This also came from LOAD1017 day 10: …claim to fame – strut your stuff & show off a little! I've done my claim to fame layouts already in past LOADs so I went off prompt with this layout of my youngest grandson when he was toddler. Just having fun with his finger paints.

and this is the layout I created with it:
Fun layout of Tristan when he was a toddler. He sure was having fun with the finger paints.Title and journaling. The orange paper is a Doodlebug paper from 2002. Adventurous for a Use Your Stuff challenge
Happy October to you :) Hopefully the blog won't be so quiet this month as fall is here in my area so cooler temperatures means more time in the house. The harvest is just about done too.
Use Your Stuff challenge today comes about from Gail's challenge The Blues (use blue as a predominate colour on your project).
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation for Use Your Stuff challenge.
Use Your Stuff challenge today comes about from Gail's challenge The Blues (use blue as a predominate colour on your project).
I used a variety of blues on my layout including a piece of wrapping paper the blue and silver stripe. Now I would have never thought to use wrapping paper, but the 30 day challenge over at the Scrappy Sisters day 9 was Wrapping Paper. I was adventurous with the layout too using a variety of different types of paper: the wrapping paper, mulberry paper and vellum.
I used the sketch No96 over at The Memory Nest for my layout

I love the simplicity of this sketch.
This month is the members only LOAD (layout a day) over at Scrap Happy so this is the 1st layout for that too :) The theme is I've got a secret.... This prompt was to do a layout about a “secret” peek into what you consider your best physical feature or personality trait. I went with a personality trait, this is a trait I've had since growing up taking on just about any dare my friends would ask me to do! and now a days I love the adventure of seeing new places, trying new foods and just enjoying lifeThank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation for Use Your Stuff challenge.

Life is an Adventure - Use Your Stuff challenge
Good morning :) Busy day ahead today with getting tires for the car and getting it inspected :)
This week's challenge over at Use Your Stuff, Karrie has challenged us to mix up some old and new stash! It does not have be newly released, only something you have most recently added to your stash. And let's say "old" is something you've had longer than a year.
So I have used a very old collection: Three Bugs in a Rug-Playful Caboodle Kit and the new was the bling I added to the layout:
This layout came about from a challenge that we had over in the Yahoo Scrappin N Chattin group :) A 24 hour challenge with using a collection and a sketch :) I made it a point to add the bling for something new for this challenge. I have enough paper left to make a companion layout to go with this page next to it :)
This beautiful bridge was on the grounds of the Stoystown Antique Tractor show that we attended with our club. For a 3 day show we got to spend time with friends and got to see alot of the area :) This last day was when we finally got a chance to get some photos of the bridge as a car was parked in front of it most of the weekend.
This layout also fits for the Scrappy Sisters Scrap September challenge #1: Selfie (On of me in the bridge). Their challenge is a list and they are uploading a video a day for the challenge too, so it's been fun watching the videos and getting lots of ideas and tips too. Lets see how many more of these challenges I can get done within a week :)
Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing what you create fir this fun challenge over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog.

Scenic Cruising for a Sketches In Thyme Project Life Style challenge
If you are looking for the Sketch N Scrap post you can find it here
Hello again :) My 2nd post of the day is using this fun sketch over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style. We are changing things up just a bit over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style starting this month. We will now be posting sketches on the 1st and the 15th.
The mid month sketch for September is courtesy of the talented Emma Pescott:
This is the card I created with this sketch:
I used my current counterfeit kit for part of my card and an old counterfeit kit for the road trip theme items on my card. A 3X4 card that I used to create my title block for my Double page layout:
I created this fun layout using 5 photos and 5 project life cards :) Nothing like bashing the project pife card stash a bit :) I used alot of old counterfeit kit for the road trip theme items on my layout. The cards came from Me & My Big Ideas pocket pages collection of theme cards that are vacation/road trip related. I also used My Mind's Eye Hello World decorative brads and Tim Holtz word phrases for my embellishing.
The left side of the double page layout. I used 2 Project Life cards on it. I used the sketch over at Sketches in Thyme for this layout:
I just loved this sketch when I seen it
The Project Life card used for the title on the left side page of the layout.
The top corner embellishment and under the green paper I did one of my fav techniques smooshing with packaging, used 3 different Heidi Swapp's color shine inks in the Tea, Citron and Sweet Mint. Cause I used my fav technique this falls under the Scrappy Sisters Scrap September challenge Day #14-Fav Technique. It was fun playing with the inks on both pages of the layout.
Interesting sign that explains a bit about the bridge.
Right side of the layout has 3 Project Life cards on it so a total of 5 Project Life cards on the Double Page layout :) I also did the package smooshing technique on this page too. You can see more of it in the below photo.
My journaling about not finding the right turn but lead us to this magnificent sight :)
Found this fun road map paper in my stash and knew that I had to use it :)
Fun Project Life card to add some extra details. I added journaling in various spots on this 2 page layout. I had fun creating this layout :) and looking forward to creating a few more layouts from that fun day :)

#RoadTrip for Sketch N Scrap sketch challenge
Good Morning :) Today is the 2nd layout sketch over at Sketch N Scrap for the month:
I used part of a past counterfeit kit and part of my kit this month too. Used stamps and brads to embellish the page. This layout is also for Day #3-No People of the Scrappy Sisters Scrap September challenge.

Isn't this a cool sketch! I used it for the title page for a day trip we took to Honesdale, PA:
This was us leaving Williamsport, PA at 6:30 AM the sun was just starting to rise. For the one layer on the sketch I used the tickets that I got online when I purchased my tickets even though I didn't need them for the trip I printed them out anyway cause all the information needed was on them. I used part of a past counterfeit kit and part of my kit this month too. Used stamps and brads to embellish the page. This layout is also for Day #3-No People of the Scrappy Sisters Scrap September challenge.
My journaling is of when I started investigating Honesdale, PA to see what was all there, buying the tickets online and then the plan for the day. It was a fun day and lots of layouts to come from that day :)

Doodling Around for Use Your Stuff challenge
Good Morning and welcome to this week's challenge over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog. This week I host the challenge and I challenged the girls to a color challenge:
I used the current sketch over at Let's Scrap Sketches for my layout. So glad to see them still doing Double page sketches:
I used circles in place of the gears on my layout.
The Left side of the layout. Holds 3 of the 7 pictures I had. Some how I missed getting a picture of Isabelle marking the face on her pumpkin. I used a couple of pieces of cardstock from my background, then pattern papers (lots of scrap papers) used the 6X6 paper that was in my counterfeit kit from July: Geometric Splatter, used 2 papers from my 100 pattern paper pile. I used alot of circles on my layout compared to the gears that were in the sketch challenge. The circles then fall into the Scrappy Sisters Scrap September challenge Day 8: Circles.
My title (which I have now corrected as I figured out I was missing the L in Doodling) and my journaling (done in red pen to match the challenge)
Fall is in the air! Use fall colors : Red, Gold and Orange
This is what I created for this challenge:
This is a layout that was when the Grandkids were marking their faces on the pumpkins before carving them out, Pap suggested they do this first. This has been a fun series of layout that I created from this event last year and I have one more to do yet to finish it up.I used the current sketch over at Let's Scrap Sketches for my layout. The right side of the layout. Used two circles for the photo mat vs their sketch having the one. With the title being about doodling I thought I should also add some to my layout.
Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing what you create for this fun color challenge over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog
