I love when I can do some layout of the birds that visit our feeders. These pictures are from Feb 2016 and the sketch was great for it too :) I used last month's counterfeit kit: Spring Break for my layout as well as items on my scrap desk :)
I had gotten Cheapo Dies Birdhouse Planter to use to embellish my layout using a variety of cuts and clipping certain parts I was able to combine them to make the embellishments
The left side of the layout :)
Close up of the embellishment cluster I created with using the Birdhouse Planter and variety of other embellishments
The Left side of the layout
Close up of the cluster and journaling on this side of the page. Adding the fun Birdhouse Planter die cut to the mix of other embellishments
A close up of the Carolina Wren :) he is a joy to have in our yard throughout the year. Thank you for stopping by today to see what I'm creating in my little corner of the world. i look forward to seeing what you create with this fun sketch over at Stick It Down challenge blog.

Male Purple Finch LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge
Good Morning and welcome to the 1st sketch challenge of the month over at Sketch N Scrap.. Here is the sketch:
Love the layers and the multi-picture placement of this sketch so it was easy to create with this sketch with some newer pictures I took in April.
I love when new birds show up in our yard and with the new sunflower seed feeder added to the bird feeding area in the yard is was cool to see these Male Purple Finches. Just a wee bigger than House Finch so when I first saw them I had to do some investigating to find out what they were.
My journaling
A close up of one of the photos of the birds. Not a purple bird but a very cranberry color to them. I added some purple flowers to the layout to justify the name of the bird in the layout. I used paper from my April counterfeit kit: Spring Break. Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm creating in my little corner of the world. I look forward to seeing your creations over at Sketch N Scrap.

Blessed LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge
Good morning and welcome :) to the 2nd layout challenge over at Sketch N Scrap. Here is the sketch:
This is what I did with it:
Using one of those framed out scrapbook pattern papers for the background. I added and extra photo and used the pink with gold polka dots pattern paper from my current counterfeit kit: Spring break to get the separation for the photos. I used a cut-apart sheet to cut the pennants out and the journaling spot. Some die cuts from to bring the spring vibe to the layout.
My journaling and title. I used a sequins pack I got from the retreat I went on in March to decorate the layout.
The pennants and more sequins. Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I'm creating :) and I look forward to seeing your creation over at Sketch N Scrap.

#Snapped LO-Counterfeit Kit Challenge April Showers
Good Morning and welcome to Counterfeit Kit Challenge's first challenge of the month, a very interesting challenge it is:
Challenge #1: When we think of April, we often think of April Showers and the inspiration kit has a lot of weather elements included - rainbows, umbrellas, sunglasses, sun parasols. Let's be inspired by weather for this challenge!
So I gathered just the few things I had in my kit that was weather related and some flowery pattern papers and this is what I did with it:
A storm that happened in 2017 in the Spring, a late night storm brought down many limbs and snapped a few trees too. Perfect pictures to scrap for this prompt.
My journaling and some fun weather related die cuts and stickers
another journaling spot and a wood veneer cloud
More die cuts and stickers for this section of the layout. I was glad I cam across these photos while looking though my printed photos cause they were perfect for this prompt :) Another story in the books.
Please join us in this fun challenge and create something exciting about the weather :)

This pattern paper has just about the same color scheme as the inspirational kit. So let me introduce
My April counterfeit kit is Spring Break:
The Maggie Holmes part of the kit:
A really fun way to start the kit building. Then I added papers to the kit while looking for some things that matched some of the patterns in the inspirational kit too:
Lots of pinks, blues, greens and yellows. Lots of florals, stripes, stars, hearts too.
I added some travel paper too as I plan on working on some vacation photos with the Easter Egg Hunt photos this month. Pinkfresh Studio Out & About, Joyful Day and Everyday Musings. Really loving this company's lines lately clean and fun.
and if I run out of that throughtout the month then I will be using this:
Simple Stories Travel Notes for my vacation photos. figuring this line should match up well with Simple Stores Vintage Traveler collection that I'm using this month too with certain trip photos I'm creating with.
Yes a large selection but something I will use throughout the month.
Now off you go and see what fun kit
Laura came up with over on her Instagram page. Thanks for stopping by today and if you want a fun month of crafting give the challenge a try :)
