Powder Puff layout for Stick It Down challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) Today I'm featuring a 2nd layout for Stick It Down blog using their fun single sketch and also some fun sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps our sponsor this month. I received the SMS sequin mix called One in a Melon and wow what a punch of pink and green with some black too :) yep looks like a watermelon mix :)
One of the layouts that I created from the Demolition Derby at the local fair we attend was the Powder Puff competition and we have a variety of cars in this layout but there was that bright green one and a variety pink featured too one being that black with pink car so these photos were perfect to feature those fun sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps
Here is the single sketch this month from Stick It Down that I used for inspiration for the layout:

Very busy sketch which the Derby can be very busy too :)
My journaling and to keep the pink going I used a pink pen too

Close up of the pictures. For the layout I used old school technique torn pattern paper in strips to mimic the strips in the sketch. There were stars all over the place in the sketch so used the sequins in places where the stars were.
I used a variety of counterfeit kits for this layout: The torn pattern papers came from this month's kit Falling For You. The pink matting I used for the photos was from my August kit Summer Life. The Alpha's came from June's kit Adventure Awaits and the background paper came from May's kit Geometric Beauty. I will usually have a few current counterfeit kits floating around my craftroom like this to grab from when I'm looking for certain things to combine to make a fantastic layout.

Thank you for stopping by today, still have a few days in this month to play along with this challenge. Check out Stick It Down blog for other creations my DT sisters are making this week with SpiegelMom Scraps sequin mixes.

Good Day Layout for a Sketches in Thyme PL style challenge

Good Morning to you :) I hope you are having a fantastic day and weekend.
This sketch challenge over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style is a date project life card. The card I created with Emma's sketch is:
Using one of the project life cards from my counterfeit kit: Adventure Awaits in it is the summer 6X8 album project I'm doing, really want to clear out the old Simple Stories I (heart) Summer collection so went there 1st for a card to use then used an acrylic piece for my kit for the circle and a scrap ribbon from my dish of goodies to use up, the rest came from various stickers in my stash.
Emma has created a fun sketch for us to work with once again:
Here is the layout I created:
Using the one paper from last month's counterfeit kit:  Geometric Beauty and the rest of the papers and stickers came from this month's counterfeit kit: Adventure Awaits to create this fun layout.
My title and journaling came from stickers and the clamshell border came from 2 papers from the 6X6 paper pad in my kit
This photo was fun as it showed at the era that the bridge was made what was expect with our own current era sign of the clearance height of the bridge.
My created date card in place
A picture of Dave, Tammy and I that day, the sun was so bright that day. Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation for this sketch challenge over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style

Time To Watch LO for Stick It Down challenge

Good Morning and welcome to the 1st post of today. This month's double page challenge over at Stick It Down is this :
and this is the layout I created with it:
This is a normal thing for us in the spring, especially when we start getting alot of rain. This year was no different and I added the pictures I took daily and my journaling for what was happening at the time :) This sketch was perfect for the layout. I used 5 pieces of pattern paper from my 100 pattern paper pile challenge and the matting of the photos was done with the brown dotted paper that was in my March counterfeit kit: Florally Whimsy
 My journaling
close up shots of the layout
I also used sequins from my May counterfeit kit: Geometric Beauty
Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation with this fun sketch from Stick It Down

Jurassic Chomp LO for a Funday Friday Challenge

Good Morning and Happy Friday to you :) It's Funday Friday and Today over at Jo's Scrap Shack our challenge is Always Anything Goes. Our sponsor this week is Little Blue Button Stamps. I had gotten Choco Top Ice Cream Colored image. Here is the layout I created using it:
I wanted to make sure that color digital image was the center of my layout, and with it sitting on the side of the word paper cute caused it to be in the center :) cool! This layout was created with using LOAD518 prompt 24 of favorite game during your child hood. As I have already done that in a previous LOAD I went with a current favorite for the summer time is going to Dairy Queen and just loving this new summer flavor of blizzard :) The other part of the prompt was to use the front of your favorite cereal box as a kid for yoru inspiration. Mine was Lucky Charms and I used one of their boxes from the 1960s for my layout.
A Long Ago Lucky
It’s St. Patrick’s Day! A perfect time to look back at how Lucky appeared on the box in 1967.
A Long Ago Lucky
It’s St. Patrick’s Day! A perfect time to look back at how Lucky appeared on the box in 1967.
Yep I would have been 5. It was a fun way to create a layout and something out of my comfort zone too.
Working on the lefthand side of the layout adding all the words that I wanted on the layout including the title. Just as it was on the box.

The extra addition was another triangle and the circle used for my journaling, similar to his hand holding the heart of the box. Yes this sure was and interesting way to make a layout :) Used my current counterfeit kit: Geometric Beauty, using a piece of paper, the star sequins, the alphas and the ice cream pieces that were in my Paper Issues Swag Bag. Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your fun creation this week.
So make sure to play along this week~

Delightful Father & Son Superhero Lasting Moments layout

Hello and welcome to the newest challenge over at Lasting Memories
Our theme for May has been - Variety Of Shapes - and this week our challenge is:
LM #396 - use one or more hexagons on your layout
Here is the layout I created or this challenge:
Using some old stash and some project life cards plus some scraps from this month's counterfeit kit-Geometric Beauty, I made this layout using my Stampin Up hexagon punch. Lots of fun creating that background of the layout. Using a very old Studio Calico sketch I found on Google for the inspiration for my layout.
This is the journaling. The layout is from LOAD518 Day19 prompt which part of it was to use a Hero theme with a measurement of sort on the layout. My son is a hero in my book :) once you get past the goofball craziness of his personality he's an awesome person
Carl and Zane what a great pair of guys. Love you both!
Now are you ready to take on the hexagon challenge! I look forward to seeing your creation real soon and check out the other challenges over at the Lasting Memories challenge blog.

#TBT Halloween 1995 a Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style challenge

Good Morning and Happy Friday to you :) I hope you are somewhere where the sun is shining! We are missing the sun here been mostly rain lately and looking forward to seeing the sun.
The title block of the layout came from this fun Project Life sketch over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style. I fell into the craze of Project Life cards when it first came out thinking I would transition into Project Life scrapbooking, but didn't fall in love with it so now I try to use them in my Scrapbooking, which I do love to do. Finding that these fun sketch challenges help with this and a good way to add a project life card to a layout. So this mid-month sketch:
Now, on to Sketch #102 - courtesy of Emma!

No automatic alt text available.
This is the card I created using this sketch. It come from the Project Life core kit Vintage Travel
The pre-written part on the card worked out for this particular layout. I found that looking through the cards in this core kit that I need to have them handy cause they can be used for alot of things besides travel so time to use up the stash I have!
The layout I made around this card:
Used some black cardstock for my background, just a wee bit of my current counterfeit kit (Glitter tape, gold glitter hashtag and a few things from my last counterfeit kit plus some theme paper and those fun black glitter dazzles and this layout is called done. I used the sketch over at Let's Get Sketchy for my inspiration for the overall layout:
and I used the LOAD518 Day 17 prompt for my layout theme: Throwback Thursday. Story: Use an old photo to throwback to an earlier day Technique: Use retro embellishments or old stuff from your stash. Using both the old photo and old stuff from my stash (Halloween stickers I had forever! it seems)
 My journaling
Close up of the picture of my kids plus the card I created
Adding some fun word stickers too. Adding Gold Heidi shine mist to the layout to give the black a bit of something. There it is in a nut shell :) I look forward to seeing what you create with this fun sketch :)

Hey Girl Your Awesome LO of Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning :) Welcome to another cool challenge over at Sketch N Scrap. This is the sketch we are to use for this challenge:
No automatic alt text available.
and the layout I created using this sketch:
I had fun creating this layout for Sketch N Scrap using the sketch. Tells a story of when I was writing the newsletter for the Moline Gold Collectors Assoc. an Antique Tractor Club my husband and I belong to. I become treasurer the same year. Something I volunteered to do and did for 10 years.
Close ups of the photos and the title spot.
Using my current counterfeit kit: Geometric Beauty for the most of the elements of the layout but I had also brought in some things from my stash too.
The journaling, bit hard to read unless you have it in front of you

So I wrote it on this paper to attach to the back of the layout.
Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation for this challenge and all the challenges we having going on this month over at Sketch N Scrap

First Hummer for the Counterfeit Kit 1st Challenge of the month

Good Morning and welcome to the 1st challenge over at The Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Being inspired by Leslie's challenge of Shapely Photos.  Did you guess? We are cutting our photos into shapes for this challenge. She promise's you won’t hate her after you see some of the inspiring examples on her special Pinterest board HERE. There are some great examples too. This is what I created:
We had our 1st hummingbird for this 2018 season. It was so cool to see :) and the perfect pictures for this challenge as most of the outside of the picture was just empty space. Using my Creative Memories oval cutters I cut the photos in 3 different sizes and matted green cardstock to give it some lift off the page. Using this sketch from the 100 Pattern Paper challenge group:
No automatic alt text available.
The doily was the perfect addition to layout to mimic the circle in the sketch. The oval photos is a nice touch and a great change of pace from my normal rectangle pictures.
Using 1 full sheet of paper, the striped 6X12 paper in my kit and the scraps I have from cutting into papers created this fun page :) Photo and journaling of the 1st photo taken when I hung the feeder.
The other 2 photos were taken when I first seen the hummingbird. My journaling about that day
The center photo. The layout was created with my current counterfeit kit: Geometric Beauty.
We look forward to seeing your counterfeit kit linked up over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog and look forward to seeing your creation from this fun challenge :)

Young One for a Use Your Stuff challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) Today's challenge over at Use Your Stuff is a Mood Board:
and I was inspired by the young bird in the bottom left corner, the florals and the soft colors on the mood board:
The picture on my layout is a very young Brown Thrasher that I saw June 3, 2017. I made this layout using scraps on my desk, most of the scraps came from my last month's counterfeit kit: Spring Flings and Easter Things and using bits of this month's counterfeit kit: Geometric Beauty
 Journaling
Fun cut apart words I got from a border sheet that was in last month's counterfeit kit
Flowers I had left over in a dish on my craft desk and the sequins are from my current counterfeit kit :)
Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge over at Use Your Stuff.
