Welcome Springtime

Hello :)
This layout came From LOAD517 Day 17
Prompt:
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory – 1971
What moment in your life left you in awe and wonder? Where do you find awe and wonder in your daily life? It might be a big moment or a small one, let’s honour it today!
This is a picture I took one day when Buddy and I went for a walk, as I was coming around the one area of the rail trail we have at the house I was in awe when I saw all the fruit trees in blossom. Made for a fantastic spring site and this is what I honor today. I used a piece of kraft paper for the challenge over at the 100 Pattern Paper facebook challenge group. A Mary E paper and got out my paper crimper too for another challenge in another facebook group too.I played quite a bit off the pink paper for my embellishments.
I used the sketch over at The Memory Nest for my layout:
One of the designers: Lori gave inspiration with her layout when she tucked all the papers in under the photos and I went that way too with my layout.
 Journaling
Fun cluster and a kraft project life card too
 Another fun cluster too.
I also used the challenge over at Whimsical Musings Inspired by Petals as I was inspired by those beautiful blossoms

In A Blink

Another layout from LOAD517 Day 10
Prompt:
High Noon – 1952
Time. Use time as a theme for today’s layout by using clocks or time stamps, tell a story of how time has changed you, or a now an then page.
I went with a Now and Then layout as I seen this cute picture of Britney on facebook when she was just born and used that with a current photo from April for here birthday. Used some paper that had clocks on it to pay homage to the prompt about time:
OMgosh she grew up way to fast! Our little Britney is now a spunky young lady. I used a piece of my kraft paper for this layout too from the 100 pattern paper facebook group challenge last month. I added the other 2 papers from my stash for the use of the clocks and I found this chipboard that had a clock face on it too and added that to the layout. Added a Project Life card to finish off the layout. I used some black embellishments from my current counterfeit kit: Nature's Party for the clusters.
I used the early layout over at the Memory Nest for my layout inspiration:

I was inspired by how the DT Jane Taylor did her layout and did mine in a similar concept this was a very interesting sketch to play with.
Close ups of the layout:
 current picture and journaling
 Britney's baby picture
and a picture of Britney when they had visited us for the 1st time in a long time when they moved back to the east coast of the states to NY where we go quite often to see the kids :). this is the 2nd post of the day for using The Memory Nest's sketches for May.

Your the Cherry on Top a Lasting Memories Layout Challenge

Good Morning and welcome to a new month of challenges over at Lasting Memories Layout Challenge, I'm your host this month for a fun month of challenges. The theme for this month is "June Holiday Insights" and our challenges will be based off of the more Bizarre, Unique and Special Holidays during the month of June. You can find the list of these fun holidays at http://holidayinsights.com.
June is National Fruits and Vegetables month, so our first challenge for June is:
LM #346 - National Fruits And Vegetables Month  - Use fruits and/or vegetables on your layout. This can be in the photos, in the papers, or in the embellishments, or all three!

My layout I used the fruit kraft paper I had out for the kraft paper challenge last month over at 100 Pattern Paper facebook group, I also used the brads that were in the challenge for the month of metals too :) plus washi tape for this month
I used the sketch over at Stuck?!

Great sketch for the use of the frame style pattern paper.
This layout came about from LOAD517 Day26:
Prompt:
Forrest Gump – 1994
“Mama always said life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.” Tell about how everyday brings a surprise or a new adventure. What kinds of surprises are revealed daily in your life? how do you embrace each day for what it is?
It's not so much the every day but to catch the surprise moments when they happen.
Date night with the hubby can be a bit different than what most would consider a date night, but then these are the things we enjoy so our date night look a bit like this, added this heart for my love :)
Thank you for stopping by and seeing what I'm up too in my little corner of the world :) Just a few more days left for this LOAD month :)
I look forward to seeing your creation over at Lasting Memories Layout Challenges

Feels Like Summer LO for Sketch N Scrap

Good Morning and welcome :) Yes it's the 1st of May Wow! April went by very quickly as it seems as I get older te months just fly by now. Today is also the 1st sketch of a fabulous month over Sketch N Scrap. Fisrt I want to wish them a Happy 5th Birthday :) We've got a fabulous party going on all month over at Sketch N Scrap's Facebook page. A special group page just for this month's party too. It's here if you want to check it out, don't let the dates fool you it's an all month party (the 2 week thing is a facebook thing).
So the 1st sketch of the month is:
I just love the grid style look of the sketch and this is what I did with it:
I used some kraft paper for this layout and some scraps too. Avery he's almost 13 in this photo and he's really starting to get into photography. Starting with selfies and seeing some cool things on his walk with his sister that day. These are a few of the photos he took and more are to come of that day.
I had fun making the title cluster
 and the journaling cluster
and the subtitle cluster. I used a very old Fall kit: Simple Stories Harvest Lane, found a baggie of stars to use and the fun word strips from this past month's kit: Spring Garden. Thanks for stopping by today and we look forward to seeing your creation linked up over at Sketch N Scrap.

Some of the vegetable displays we saw at the PA Farm Show in January. I used my current counterfeit kit: Spring Garden for this layout too. Using the kraft paper that we have for our challenge in the 100 Pattern Paper challenge Facebook group and the puffy stickers
The alphas are from last month's counterfeit kit and a close up of the finished journaling card
This is also for the Counterfeit Kit Challenge #1 Feelin' Fresh (getting part of my title from the Fresh :)
At the time a very fresh display for vegetables :)

My Garden LO for Use Your Stuff challenge

Hello! Well it's the beginning of the week again, where the heck the weekend go! We had a fantastic day yesterday with the grands for the Annual Campbell Easter Egg Hunt and other than the chocolate being soft for the weather the rest of the candy held up :) (Tip freeze the candy a bit next year before putting it out.)
Today's challenge over at Use Your Stuff is from DT sis Beth and she wants us to use flowers :) Got to do another picture I found recently and got it scrapped.
I used the current sketch over at Stuck?! for my layout
and I also went to Paper Issues New Issues Monday for their challenge: Create a project using flowers or about gardening and spring.

This month's challenge over at 100 Pattern Paper Challenge FB group is Kraft Paper so got into my stack of Kraft Paper for this layout. Kraft paper (2 sheets plus the cut apart sheet), ribbon that was on my desk from that challenge and old stickers! Got just a few stickers left from that sheet to finish that off. Used a rubon for my journaling spot.I'm not a keen one for Orange but I do like the orange paper when it's a kraft paper. So my current counterfeit kit was used: Spring Garden :) Hmm I need to look for some more garden/flower photos......
Hey you have a fantastic day! I look forward to seeing your creation linked up over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog.

Hello World Layout for Use Your Stuff Challenge

If your looking for the Stick It Down Double Page Layout post you can find it here

Good Morning and welcome to the 1st week of April. We had some beautiful weather yesterday and today it looks to be the same :) It's so good to get outside and enjoy the sunshine.
So are Polaroids still a thing in scrapbooking? The frames that look like the old Polaroids, are they still a thing? Well that is our challenge this week for Use Your Stuff. DT sis Gail asking us this week to use a Polaroid frame(s) on your project.
During my bit of cleaning in my room yesterday I came across some old cutapart Polaroids and knew that I was to use those for my project for today. It's great when a plan comes together for a layout
Got out more cute pictures of Zachary he was just about 11 months in these pictures that were on June 12 2011. The Polaroid frames were a nice touch to the layout. For inspiration for this layout I used the sketch over at Let's Get Sketchy:
Perfect sketch to use for these photos.
I used both my current counterfeit kit: Spring Garden that includes the 100 Patterned Paper Kraft paper challenge too
so used a kraft paper from the stack too (the yellow checks) Thanks a bunch for stopping by and I'll see you later today with a update on my cleaning challenge.

April Counterfeit Kit for the CKC April Challenge

Hello and welcome.... I got to see the new inspirational kit last night at work during my lunch break and was excited to get this one forged with my supplies for the month. Counterfeit Kit Challenge April reveal is
I chose this month's inspiration kit,
because of it's bright, fun vibe & the touch of whimsy in the elements.
Wow what a fun kit to counterfeit and I was pulling some sheets of paper as soon as I came home from work. Finished it up tonight and this is my counterfeit:

Spring Garden

I have papers, stickers, alphas, diecuts, beads, stamp set and more in this kit!
The Papers:
A nice mix of spring colors in the papers. I also added the CTMH paper pad that had so many sheets matching the inspirational kit plus it had the cardstock too.
The Alphas:
I don't have alot of multicolor Alphas so I went to old to the old Alphas this month for those.
Stickers in a variety of ways: Puffy, Word, Flat and Layered. A good variety. The elephants, not quite sure how I'm going to use those yet.
Die-Cuts, Stamp Set to make the tag, beads, chipboard pieces, cutaparts and that fun pack of stuff I received from May Flaum of Craft With May, for early enrollment to her In The Details class that is starting now :) That is why I added more beads thinking I may need them.
And an added bonus 25 oh wait I miss counted that is 26 Kraft Pattern Papers. This month's challenge over at the 100 Pattern Paper Challenge. Alot of garden papers in this pile as most of it came from the paper pad DCWV-Garden Harvest

Thank you for stopping by and checking out what I'm up too in my little corner of the world. Check out the challenge over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog you just may want to play along :)
