The Unusual Ones layout for a Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style

Hello again :) If you are looking for the Sketch N Scrap post you will find it here.

Some of the tractors we saw at the Portersville Steam Show in 2004 :) featured in this layout. First though the title block of the layout came from this fun Project Life sketch over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style. I fell into the craze of Project Life cards when it first came out thinking I would transition inot Project Life scrapbooking, but didn't fall in love with it so now I try to use them in my Scrapbooking, which I do love to do. Finding that these fun sketch challenges help with this and a good way to add a project life card to a layout. So this mid-month sketch:
Now, on to Sketch #100 - courtesy of Emma!
this is what I created for this challenge:
Using my current counterfeit kit for this card and for the layout. This is the title block for the grid style layout I made:
I framed the pictures within this vintage style pattern paper with torn edges. The title block gives it a current edgy look to the layout. Adding a couple of fussy cut arrows for the clusters on the layout and to journal blocks to finish off the grid style layout.
close up of the layout and the tractor pictures
 My journaling
and the title block shown on the layout. Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I created today and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun sketch challenge over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style.

Steam Tractor Memory layout for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome to the 1st of April.

Happy Easter!

Today over at Sketch N Scrap we have this fun sketch to play with:
 No automatic alt text available.
I flipped it side to side for my layout. Now I have the title on the opposite side of the layout:
I added an extra photo to the layout too. Love the layering on the sketch to include on my layout too.
My journaling I used a silver pen
 My title
and a close up of the photos. These are about the end of the pictures from this trip, just enough for one more layout. I used my current counterfeit kit:  Florally Whimsy and the background paper came from my 100 Pattern Paper pile.

Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun sketch over at Sketch N Scrap

Noon layout

Good morning and welcome :) Today's layout is a combination of last month's counterfeit kit Pretty Little Pastimes and this month's kit Florally Whimsy.
This came about for the scrap-a-thon that Nicole Jones is doing (a class of her's for this month.) The focus was project Life cards and I got 5 of them on this layout. Used them mainly for layering. Using a scrap of paper from last months kit with the full background paper of this months kit for my base and the rest is project life cards from last months kit. Added the title and the 5 green puffy stars for the embellishing. That was it a simple layout for me to get done in a hurry and another for the Portersville, PA vacation trip.
Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creations from your Counterfeit kit.

Fire!!! Did You Know challenge for Lasting Memories Layout challenge

Hi you all :) Been scrapping daily :) so still going with my goal this year :) It's been fun too reminiscing with older vacation photos also.
Today is a new month of challenges over at Lasting Memories Layout challenges. We start of with March challenges with the theme of Did You Know....- March National Month Of... and we will be focusing on little-known facts/holidays in March.
Did you know that March was named for the Roman God "Mars"? Mars was the god of war and also an agricultural guardian. So our challenge to you is:

LM #384 - Create a layout about war (think a layout of a war hero, museum-area about war (Gettysburg)...) OR an agricultural/farm layout (which this could cover just about anything with farming - food, animals, seasons....)
So many choices of photos for this theme! So I went with the photos on my scrappy desk that I've been creating with and found these photos of cool pictures of an Civil War Reenactment:
A very simple layout for today and this is also LOAD218 Day 25 prompt too. I used the choice of an old scrappy tool which was my crimper. I used my current counterfeit kit: Pretty Little Pastimes
These pictures came from when we were at the Portersville Steam Show in 2004. Cool to take the time out of the busy day of events and take a step back in time.
A simple layout with a simple title and some journaling for a quick layout that focused on the photos and the time period.
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing what you create for this challenge :)

Portersville Steam Show layout for Use Your Stuff challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) to challenge #300 over at Use Your Stuff blog. I'm the hostess today over at Use Your Stuff challenge for this challenge of Twinkle Twinkle - Use something sparkly on your project.
I used stickles to add some sparkle to my layout, using some night paper makes it really match up well with The Twinkle, Twinkle of the challenge:
This layout came about from LOAD218 Day 2 prompt: This inspiring quote:
Gustave Flaubert quote
and to use tiny elements on the page and a galaxy theme :) So I dug into my stash for the black starry paper to add to the layout and then added the stickles that is in my current counterfeit kit: Pretty Little Pastimes for the sparkle :)
This layout will be the cover page leading into a weekend getaway trip. The 1st overnight trip we had been on since our Honeymoon in 1993. 11 years later I finally got the hubby to go somewhere else for his birthday than just the local antique tractor show. With a conversation with one of his friends about the show he made the plans for us to go :) I had been there before doing embroidery and had told him of the show too :) This is the beginning of a fun relationship we have with attending Antique Tractor Shows. Since he is now a Mechanic Tech that is on the road alot it is no problem with us taking off for a daytrip or a weekend trip :) Back then it really was different, he's come along way since then.
Few of the tractors I took pictures of at the show :)
 My title work
and the final picture :) even a masculine layout can have some glitter to it used in the right way :) Adding the stickles to the circles on the black paper makes it look like a twinkly night :)
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge too over at Use Your Stuff blog.
