Thanks Dave LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome to the 2nd sketch challenge over at Sketch N Scrap challenge blog. We have this sweet sketch from Heather for our inspiration:

It just says Spring on this with the posies scattered about. With thinking of that I created this layout, it will be the accompanying page to the layout with pictures of Dave laying the mulch down.

I just love the beginnings of Spring seeing the daffodils as they growing into the flowers they become, with some sprucing up from Dave adding mulch the are of the front of the house isn't looking to bad. Just the beginnings right now in this picture. I used my current counterfeit kit Spring Afternoon for the paper and embellishment inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world.
I look forward to seeing what you create from this fun sketch over at Sketch N Scrap.

Slap Happy layout for a Use Your Stuff challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) Chris has challenge us this week to see projects about Easter or Spring over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog. I went with a sweet Spring day for a layout:
A nice Spring day captured :) This was day 14 prompt of LOAD218 A morning we spent together :) Getting flower bulbs and then planing them too :) Prompt was to honor a strong woman (even ourself), using Red, Pink, White color scheme and/or some hearts. So I used all 3 prompts for the day.
 My journaling
My title and acrylic word I received with my Cheeky Studio
package I received for a previous DT assignment. The flower diecuts came from that package too. I also used my Feb counterfeit kit: Pretty Little Pastimes for the background paper and the chipboard embellishments
 Close up of the pictures.
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation to this fun challenge this week over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog.

Apple Blossom layout for Lasting Memories challenge

Hello :) welcome to the last challenge of this challenge series over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge blog. The theme is Scrapbook Cooking Time and this week's challenge is:
Recipe #4 is our challenge for this week:

LM#371 -  2 photos, 2 different fonts for title, 4 patterned papers, 5 buttons, 1 ribbon/trim/twine, 4 die cuts and sprinkle with mist.

1st I gathered up the needed supplies for the layout. So a small page kit is what I think when I look at these recipes. It's really I nice change of pace doing challenges like this:
This kit less the mist cause I ended changing the color mist to teal because of the letters I used created this layout:
After the snowy winter we had this year it's always nice to see the pretty colors of spring and the Apple Blossoms were really pretty this year and a bunch of them. I used the sketch over at The Memory Nest for my layout inspiration too:
https://thememorynest.blogspot.com/2017/11/make-it-monday-no-99.html
A really fun sketch to use for the layout, sketch #99.
My journaling and a cluster around the photo. The photos are from my phone and for some odd reason it took a better picture of the background than of the blossoms itself. It's fun to emphasize something different from the property each spring.
 More clustering
 More journaling
and my title work.Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge blog. 4 challenges that you can check out and do and were offering up a $20 gift card to an online store to one lucky winner, so get your layouts linked up over at  Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge blog by Saturday, November 25th for your chance to win!

Spring 2017 for a Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge

Good Morning :) It's been a bit chilly, actually down right cold in our area right now :) Frosty every morning and I'm not one that enjoys scraping windows!
This layout took a little bit longer than I thought and the interference of working over the weekend didn't help with my creative time :) But I got this layout done, being the hostess of this month's challenges over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge blog, thought it appropriate that I create a layout for each challenge. This is this week's current challenge
Our theme for November is "Scrapbook Cooking Time" and  our second recipe challenge is:
LM #369 - Create a layout and use the following "ingredients" on it - twine/thread, sequins, labels, die cuts, solid cardstock, and vellum.
You can always use other items, as well, but we must be able to see the items in the recipe on your layout:

Just some of the flowers that we grew this year :) some detailed layouts to come of the bulbs we planted this past year. For my layout I used the current sketch over at Stuck?! for my inspiration:
This is a great sketch and has alot of fun elements going on with it too :)
I was also able to include this layout for Scrapping 4 fun  has a tic-tac-toe challenge this month:

Using the 1st vertical row: Twine, Sequins, bling (thickers)

A couple of my favorite bulb plants :) I used a label with the word sticker adore on it. Sassy sequins, twine in the tag, solid cardstock for the overall page and matted the photos with and the vellum I found a fun word vellum in my stash says April showers ....bring May Flowers
The die cut I used I had gotten in a swap years back. Used a few letter stickers for the journaling part of the sketch
My journaling space says of the pansies that I got for a surprise from the hubby and the bulbs coming up in full bloom :) I added the couple of pansies flowers I made years ago in a scrapbooking class and so glad to finally get them used and out of my stash.
Thank you for stopping by today to see what I'm up to in my little corner of the world and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook challenge blog.

Celebrate Spring for a Lasting Memories Layout Challenge

Hello :) We have been enjoying some great weather lately and Spring has finally arrived in North Central PA. Some days it even feels like Summer has arrived, yes the weather in PA can jump up and down quite a bit.
This is the last challenge for this month theme of Spring over at Lasting Memories. Haven challenged us this week with a color palette.
It wouldn't be spring without daffodils and we have a bunch this year. I took these pictures on April 6, 2017 while I was out and about taking pictures. These were the first of the daffodils to come up being out front of the house it gets the most sun:

and this is the color palette for the challenge:

I found so many of the colors in my 100 Pattern Paper stack that I worked off 3 papers. I also broke open a new punch (one that was purchased before Christmas! me bad waiting that long to use it.) One that I think I'll be using quite often.
I used the No. 85 sketch over at The Memory Nest for my layout:
A fun sketch to use too :)
For the larger photo in the sketch I matted my photo with the Polaroid look and that gave me a spot to add some journaling. A fun cluster using pieces from this month's counterfeit kit: Spring Garden and some embellishments from previous kits.
Another fun cluster using a chipboard bird in the right color combination for the palette. Added the pearls too that are from my stash, not sure how I by past these when I put my kit together this month.
The bottom cluster and that pot of daffodils is from a sticker sheet that is just about finished
The only neutrals things added to the layout the word strips and that wood veneer title. thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up too. I look forward to seeing your creation over at Lasting Memories Layout Challenges
All Challenges for the month end 04/28/17.

A Day in May

Good Morning and welcome :) Today we have a new week of challenge over at Lasting Memories and this is the last week for the August challenges too. The challenge is Summer Days - Use colors of photo for inspiration. "Day Colors"

So pretty, I love to look at flowers and that is what my layout is A Day In May:
The vellum background is perfect compliment to the photo and the flowers. Lovely tulips and dogwoods are the focus of the layout
I had fun with the title using 2 different fonts and lots of sequins and paper flowers
A layout created for Nicole Jones Demystifying Clustering class and this was also made in March for Calvinball :) Hence the song lyrics was for that. Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see your creation over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook challenges.

Springtime is the Land Awakening

Good Morning :) I created a layout from a challenge over at Our Happy Scrappin' Place. I used an ugly (in my eyes) paper and used it on a layout. I love to buy paper pads, but you always seem to get that one paper, it's like where did they get the idea or inspiration for this one! The challenge is then to use it on a layout :) So be it! I did it:
I guess in theory if you use just a little bit of it then it doesn't look so bad :) I used the Freaky Fast Friday challenge over at the ScrapRoom blog to cut up the pattern pieces for the layout . I was then able to use those pieces and apply it to the sketch over at Sketch N Scrap:
This was a fun sketch to play with :) Might have to keep ahold of this one for other layouts :)
I got a new batch of prints from Shutterfly from my phone pics and this one was taken of the crocus coming around after a long winter sleep :) Seeing crocus always makes me happy to see the new begiinings of spring :) So from Whimsical Musings I was inspired by Challenge #22: Inspired by new Beginnings
http://whimsicalmusingschallenge.blogspot.de/2012/01/challenge-22-week-of-16th-january-2012.html
My journaling :) Other than the ugly paper all the rest of the layout came from my current counterfeit kit Sunny Daze and a few finds on my desk (the stickers, rubons, ribbon, tag and flower)
Did use up a package of rubons on the layout :) Still have lots more to go! Have a fantastic day today! Thank you for stopping by and seeing what's going on in my little corner of the world :)

Spring 2016

Hello again :) Finishing catching up with entering challenges today :) This layout came about from LOAD516 Day24 It's a I feel theme and the prompt was What makes you feel confident or courageous? I came up with a few prompts on this one and ones I would like to eventually do but really need to sit down and concentrate on the journaling for those types of layouts so much to tell. So I went with that I feel pretty confident in my photography skills :) a good camera will do that.
I love taking pictures of things and people, so glad my abilities have grown and flourished :) I've seen my fist ones when I would shake the camera, out of focus, blurred and so on and now I've got it down to zooming in and really focusing in on the subject.
I used the sketch over at Scrapbook Challenges Sketch #484 for this layout
484
I used a larger collage of photos for the one photo on the challenge :) This was a fun sketch to work with, the had some cool sketches this month :)
 Journaling close up
 Added a fun rubon
 The title block
I used my current counterfeit kit Sunny Breeze for the layout.

Wonderful Beautiful Day-Spring CADB

Hi you all and welcome to my blog, today I'm the designer over at Card A Day Blog and the theme this week is spring! And was excited to see some pop of spring this week, I'll show you that at the end of the post :)
I saw a sketch this week that I knew I would be using to make my card today, I used Jen's Deconstructed Sketch, DS142, for the layout of the card. I also used my March counterfeit kit for the card. Most of it came from the CTMH Buzz and Bumble workshop on the go paper pack, but the retro flower, also was cut from 2 pieces of SU the birch and the brown wood-grain papers.
The stamp was included in the workshop and so was the rhinestones.  I used CTMH cocoa ink for the sentiment stamp.
The flower is a cameo cut file: Design ID #7502 called 3 nesting retro flowers by Samantha Walker
Loved the layering of this sketch and I will be sending this to a friend that has been going through alot lately, hoping to cheer her up just a bit.

Thanks for stopping by today and did you get out enjoy the sunshine this past week?

Tuesday was crocus day the first we seen them in their glory
Wednesday was the first I got out for a walk with Buddy through the park as we call it (the old abandon railroad bank that is next to our property), the walk is what we do nightly starting in the spring when it's warm enough to get out (at least for me) and continue all through till late fall early winter.

Happy Spring a Day Early

I wish you all a Happy Spring a day early, I'll have a Card A Day Blog post on tomorrow. No spring in sight for our area by the latest forecast. We got 3.5" of snow yesterday and the outlook for the next 2 weeks is cold cold cold!
My card for the day
This was made in one of my Close to My Heart club class. It's a really cute card and the colors go together so well one nice thing about getting the packaged paper everything will match real good. The paper set is Miracle and the stamp set is Springtime. Not sure of the inks used, but the boot was covered with liquid glass to give an 3d effect which was fun to learn.

Thanks for stopping by and see the view from my little corner of the world....

A Spring Time Card

I finished up all my swaps for the month of March this past monday night. The last 2 cards I did was sympathy card and my choice just as long as a cricut was used in the process (6 of each). Since I've been waiting for spring to arrive in Pennsylvania I decided a spring card would encourage the mood a bit.

This card was alot of fun to do once I got it planned out. Recipe is: 4.25" X 5.5" (A2) size salmon color cardstock. The butterfly, pup and bone (under scallop oval sentiment) was cut from Paper Pups cart, the shovel and dirt pile were cut from Freshly Picked cart, and the banner spring letters and pendants were cut from Country Life cart. Can You Dig It was used from a computer font and cut with an oval punch from Stampin Up.
I will also be putting this card into my first challenge: Fantabulous Cricut Challenge for their "Looks Like Spring" challenge. Can't wait for what will be next.
