Precious Memories LO for Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge

Hello :) How are you this cold weekend? I've been trying to stay busy scrapping when I can. This layout came about from this week's challenge over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Layout Challenge. The theme for February has been - Black + White + one other color and this week that color is Lilac!
Our granddaughter Jessica with her daughter, our great granddaughter Ava having a special moment together. I loved these photos as soon as I seen them on Facebook and knew I would be scrapping them at some point. Found the lilac butterfly paper in my original 100 Pattern Paper pile (yes still have it separate and still working through it :) Also came up with the white border piece from the same pile, I punched with one of my favorite punches.
Looked through my stash for the lilac pieces to embellish with. Found this lilac flower I created awhile back in a stampin up class. So I got to use this for LOAD219: Day 17: Use flowers on your layout.
So created a fun cluster with a handmade flower, buttons, pieces from the frames pack in my kit and the black dazzles stickers. Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing what you create with this fun challenge you have till Saturday to play along with us over at Lasting Memories.

Selfie for a Sketch N Scrap layout sketch challenge

Good Morning and welcome.
Today is Sketch N Scrap's 2nd sketch challenge and it's a good one:
Image may contain: text
a good one to showcase a special photo :)
This is what I created with this sketch:
Dave planted some beautiful sunflowers this past year and it wasn't your normal color neither a lovely red instead, bringing an almost fall like appearance early. While we was getting rid of the cut portions of the tree up on the bank I would walk up while Dave drove the wagon up and had fun getting some selfies about our yard.
The paper are from a pile near my craft desk thinking the plaid was in a previous kit and that bright orange was in my 1st 100 pattern paper pile.
Using embellishments from my current counterfeit kit: Pretty Little Pastimes
 The selfie
 and the title .
Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I look forward to seeing your creation to this fun sketch linked up over at Sketch N Scrap.
There is a crop going on over there too in a the Facebook group events page

My List to See

Good Morning :) Sorry so quiet, been scraping each day, but not had the time to post them yet. Guess I need to work on prepping the blog atleast weekly to get the pages up on here. Today is the 3rd week to the new month's challenge over at Lasting Memories: Word Play is the theme this month - use some form of the word on your layout - can be in the title, in the journaling or even on an embellishment.and this week's challenge is Dream - you could use dream, dreamer, dreaming, daydream, etc.:
I have dream in my journaling. This has been a dream and a life long passion of mine to see and be in each of the United States. This layout was produced during LOAD1017 Day 23 prompt:
I’ve got a secret……love – tell about something you have dreamed of doing with your life but have never acted to make it happen. You might reveal if you would do it if you could possibly make it happen today.
This is something I had always wanted to do throughout my life seeing all 50 states. The blue states are the ones I have been to and seen even just for a little bit through my life. So I guess now I have a bucket list to conquer :)
I used lots of scraps from my 100 Pattern Paper challenge pile on this layout plus a Black/Orange/Purple challenge that month over at Scrappin N Chattin.
 used some word stickers too
My journaling.
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation real soon over at the Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge blog.

Never Giving Up layout

Hello again :) This is the 2nd layout posted today:
This was one of the stops on the Self Guided Historical Walking Tour of Downtown Williamsport. The First Presbyterian church of Williamsport, corner of Third and Mulberry streets, was organized, February 23, 1833. Previous to this time there was no church of this denomination in Williamsport
A congregation that never Gave Up (hence the title)
This layout I created this morning for the 100th Sketch over at The Memory Nest. Sadly this is the last sketch for the time being, I will be missing this blog as she always has awesome sketches:
More layering on this sketch :) I added it to my layout too. I used paper from my 100 pattern paper challenge pile. Close up shots of the layout:
The write up information from the tour
 My journaling
The title work. I added just sequin flowers with brads for my embellishment
2 different views of the church from the front side on 3rd Street and from the Mulberry Street side. A very large church. I would like to go inside some day and see what that looks like. On to the next stop of the tour.
Thank you for stopping by today ans see what I'm doing in my little corner of the world.....

Autumn Splendor for the Use Your Stuff challenge

Good Morning :) Today over at Use Your Stuff our DT sister  Karrie is challenging us to use up our stuff!!  Yeah that's what we' re always all about here, so this time dig into your patterned papers because we want to see you use 5 or more on your project!
Here is the layout I created using 5 pattern papers:
This layout came about from LOAD1017 Day11: I've got a secret...... …place – somewhere you’ve always loved to be.
My home is always my favorite place to be the good the bad and the ugly at times, but always my favorite :) through past LOADs I have scrap many stories about my home and each year just a walkabout on the property gives me the reasons why my home is my fav place to be :) Some of the sunflowers that grew this year within the small pumpkin patch we had. Sketch over at Scrapbook Generations the free sketch during their crop this past weekend. The title chipboard has been in my stash a long time so glad I finally found a place to use it :)
I used 5 different pattern papers that came from my old 100 Pattern Paper pile (in the process of putting a new one together to use this upcoming year :) as a challenge in October for our 100 Pattern Paper facebook group.
Some close ups of the layout. My journaling
5 pattern papers: the background paper, the photo mat paper and seperate framed paper too, the border stripe paper is the oldest paper on this layout coming from 2008 and the orange stripe paper was a branding strip :) Using washi tape for the other border, stickers from a fall collection I have, strips of dazzles stickers and enamel dots to finish it off :)
That is a chipboard piece that I've been trying to use and finally found a place to use it :)
A close up of one of the sunflowers and that fits Scrappy Sisters Scrap September challenge Day 18: Close-up.
Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog.

Today A New Roof for the Stick It Down Double Page Challenge

Hello and Happy Labor Day! Enjoying a nice day at home today with some planned shopping over at Michaels too, good coupon today for their sale :)
Today is Stick It Down Double Page Challenge and the sketch that we were challenged with is:
I had more photos than what the sketch had in mind so I stretched out the photos across the layout:
I stretch some of the elements over and shifted the title down for my layout to include the photos of the day. Our old red shed is getting a new roof. The last storm pretty well took it off. Dave and Brad working on it most of the day to get it completed and I say they did a fantastic job on it :)
These are the layouts that I like to try to add the photo style pattern paper to the layouts and this one in the paper pad seem to match the mood of the day, so that was my bottom border. Still working through some left over cardstock I had on my desk from the challenge last month over at the 100 Pattern Paper FBgroup. I used the green with my favorite masculine punch and a strip of the reddish brown color.
My journaling spot and some fun spare parts brads glad to use those a bit plus some yellow word stickers to round out the cluster.
The right side of the layout included a project life card I found with the photos for part of my title with the yellow alphas for the rest of my title. Used some of the caution washi tape I have and more of the brads. The background paper is from my 100 paper pattern challenge pile.
 My title block
 The date cluster
A close up of the finished roof.
There is also a 30 day challenge going on over at Scrappy Sisters YouTube channel. #ssscrapseptember challenge they are doing a video a day with a specific challenge:
Looks like a really fun challenge and excited to give it a go this month with them. So this layout is for Day 2 Punch/Die Challenge. If you want to check out the challenge you can find it here
I've got lots of photos scattered about my desk and my area that will fit this challenge very well.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day today :)

Good Eats for a Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good morning and welcome to the mid-month sketch layout challenge over at Sketch ~N~ Scrap :) Today we have a really interesting sketch that could go many different ways depending on how you scrap :)
No automatic alt text available.
This is the layout I created with this fun sketch:
A night out with the hubby going to Sam's Club and hitting the Mall for the JC Penney closing sale we thought we would go down on Third Street and eat at the Mexican Restaurant, but when I seen this restaurant I said lets try this tonight :) We haven't ate there before, why? I have no idea but we know we'll be going back sometime the food was great :) I used 3 pieces of paper from my 100 Pattern Paper Pile.
I used one of the circles for my journaling
I used lots of memorbilia from the resturant, grabbing a business card, the fortune cookie package I got and Dave and I's fortune. With being a scrapper I thought mine was very fitting and Dave had a fun one too.  I hope to see your creation linked up over at Sketch N Scrap, there is a really cool prize this month up for grabs :)
Another announcement is that we are going to have more crops and fun things happening over at the Sketch N Scrap Facebook Events page. Sketch N Scrap's Sizzlin' Summer Crop starts this Saturday, July 15th over on our Facebook Events page and you have until August 2nd to join in the fun! Unavailable Today - Road Trip LO for a Use Your Stuff Challenge

Good Day :) today I'm the hostess of this week's challenge over at Use Your Stuff Challenge Blog. My husband and I often take Road Trips, some times close to home and other times a few hours from home. MY challenge is layout or a card of A Road Trip! Vacation layout or card. For the card I'm pretty easy and would let it be a vehicle on it too for the meaning of road or trip :) or and Home sweet Home card for getting home from a trip. Just have fun with it. Here is my layout from one of Road Trips my hubby and I took most recently:
We did have a blast this trip :) Thought we were going to get rained on but it did stay away most of the trip. After visiting the Vistor's Center in the area, Dave thought we had a bit of extra time, thinking we were going to see everything we wanted to see in just a few hours, so suggested seeing this Flea Market. Wow was it huge! We spent a couple of hours there. In the long run we did miss a few of the things I wanted to see, but glad we took in the flea market and now we have a reason to go back down next year.
I used my current counterfeit kit: Sweet Summertime and the foundation page came from my 100 Pattern Paper Challenge pile. I also went to Scrap Our Stash challenge for some help getting my layout together using their current sketch challenge and word challenge:

S-Striped Paper, U-Unavailable Today (title starting whit a U), M-Martha Stewart border punch. M-Mist, E-Enamel Dots, R-Ric Rac. Love the triangles on the layout pointing your eye throught the layout and the fun neutral paper I used in the pattern has arrows pointing all 4 directions like the way you walk around a flea market :)
 Journaling
Fun cluster and a cool selfie of us
That title a bit low key but the only alphas in my kit that had lots of  'a' in it. I had fun adding alot of word stickers and cuts to the layout too :) A cool place to check out if your ever in the Altoona, PA area.
So I look forward to seeing your Road Trip project over at the linky over at Use Your Stuff Challenge Blog.
