Day 6-Just About Time-CADB post

Good morning all and welcome to Day 6 of my 12 days leading up to the drawing of the person that will receive the 100 blogger giveaway-to learn more about the give away you need to go to this post, become a follower and make a comment on this post., I have a card I made for Card A Day Blog the theme this week in New Years.
Civilizations around the world have been celebrating the start of each new year for at least four millennia. In the United States, the most iconic New Year’s tradition is the dropping of a giant ball in New York City's Times Square at the stroke of midnight. Millions of people around the world watch the event, which has taken place almost every year since 1907. Common traditions include attending parties, eating special New Year’s foods, making resolutions for the new year and watching fireworks displays. One of our customs is singing songs to welcome the new year, including the ever-popular "Auld Lang Syne"also to kiss the one you love at midnight.
This is what helped me come up with my card today, the time to ring in a New Year. I chose the cricut cartridge Celebrate With Flourish to create the die cuts for my card. I did the clock and hat at 3" and the sentiment at 2". All cuts came from scraps I had on hand and the card base came from the cardstock pack DCWV-Collage Musings Stack, spiced it up with silver glitter (Studio G style sticles) and few stars for the stars in the sky while watching the ball drop :) I wish you all A Happy New Year!
Stop back tomorrow for Day 7 of my 12 days......

Happy Easter

I want to wish all my followers a Happy Easter!
I made this card for March's Cricut Card Exchange FB group I belong too. It's a great group of very craft talented women. The theme this past month was Baby or Easter and I chose Easter when I seen this similar card and knew I had to C.A.S.E. it. The one I had left over went to my Aunt Dorothy.
The process:
First I cut out all the pieces needed for the cards (8 total made) The blue background block behind the bunny was cut from Art Philosophy shape 7 @ 3.5" from the DCWV Cotton Bloom pack. The rabbit and flower background was cut from Celebrate w/ Flourish-easter2 cut @ 2.5" just the base and the full rabbit, base in pink cardstock and the rabbit in white cardstock. Sentiment blocs was cut from Art Philosophy rectangle 4 @ 1.25" the block and frame were cut from cardstock. I used liquid pearls-Buttercup for the flower centers.
White cardstock for the card base, one layer of the same green and layer of the red from the Cotton Bloom pack. Put all the pieces together, created a bow from 2 pcs of each SU Cherry Cobbler & CTMH Smoothie bakers twine

Added a blue button from my stash that matched perfectly with the blue background. Attached both with small & medium zots and the stamp is SU.
This card was way out of my comfort zone, but it was fun to make. I know I need to check out some youtube making bows tutorials, still struggle with that.

Have a beautiful day and for me I'm glad to a Savior that died for me and my sins. I thank God for his grace and for all the blessing I receive each and everyday.

Luck O' the Irish

Hi All and if your stopping by from the Card A day Blog welcome,
The theme this week over at Card A Day Blog is St. Patrick's Day and this is the card I have done for this theme:
This is how I made it:
This is a complete cricut made card even the base was cut from A Child's Year cartridge.

A Child's Year cartridge has a card feature that I decided to use for this card because of the shamrocks border on it. With the cartridges you just never know what your going to get in sizes sometimes. So I tried 4.25" for an A2 size card and the gap on the mat in the picture above is that card. Height was 4.25" but the width is 3 3/8". So when I did fit to page feature. I got a 7" high card with 5 1/4" width. So maybe a 5 1/2" high card will give me a the 4.25" wide card I was looking for at the beginning. I'll try that for the next card I do and let you know what happens.

The icon feature on this cart doesn't seem to be part of the card feature. I did the hat in 4.25" and that is what I got a 4.25" high. So I did one around 2" for the card.

Cricut has out a wonderful all around holiday cartridge from New Year all the way through Christmas with most of the holidays in between, Celebrate with Flourish. That is where this sentiment came from. I put a piece of dark green cardstock behind the shamrock border to emphasis the border.
Put it all together add some stickles and rhinestones for the bling and the card is complete. I saved the smaller card base for to use for another card. So if you have a cricut and any of the cartridges that hats the card feature, play around with it. Surprising none of them are alike when it comes to the feature.

Thanks for joining me today and I hope you have a fantastic day!
