Pawsitively Adorable

If you are looking for today's Use Your Stuff post you can find it here.
Last post of the day I'm thinking :) I still have to do the layout for today's LOAD prompt :) and get some laundry done too :) This layout is from yesterday's prompt, LOAD217 DAY 26: Cerberus Tell a story about your pet, or a pet from the past. Easy Peasy :0 Just needed to decide on the story to tell?!!
This layout was inspired by Scrap Our Stash sketch n word challenge:

It was interesting challenge: C: cardstock, U: Uniball pen (silver), P: pattern paper, I: inked edges, D: diecuts
This is our Buddy :) I thought the 4X6 card was appropriate for a title for this layout and used some fun pictures of Buddy that have just been sitting in the photo box :) I used some of my last month counterfeit kit for this as well as some theme product too.
I was also inspired by one of Whimsical Musings prompts to use a blurry picture and I get lots when trying to take pictures of this furbaby :) Challenge #129 - Inspired by blurry photos

Addicted to Scrapbooking

If you are looking for today's Use Your Stuff post you can find it here.

Hello I'm back with another blog post :) The one thing I promised myself I wouldn't do was wait to the last minute to post about challenges this month and do it in a timely manner, well that didn't happen. Guess I better work on that next month during Calvinball.
This layout came about from LOAD217 DAY 2: Symbols What is your symbol? What represents you?
I would have to say what my symbol is, what represents me the most is the camera, but scrapbooking in general is a good representation of me. So the camera, books n paper with the pencil (journaling) I pulled together this morning (Feb 2) to create my symbol. This was a really fun prompt it really had me thinking quite a bit at work last night about my own life and so glad that I came full circle to back with the camera and scrapbooking as I feel that is when I'm most blessed and having fun.
I used the sketch over at Let's Get Sketchy for my inspiration for this layout:

and a moodboard. Thankfully my Jan counterfeit kit: Glacially Toasted had some pink in it and all those florals to create with.
I fussy cut the paper to be usable for the title and still work with the sketch. My journaling. I used some fun veneer that I got from my "bash" kit too
This fun picture of me with the camera came from the date night with the hubby when we went out for dinner at a stationery train here in Williamsport at the Transportation Museum. (Future layout) found the fun meme on line. Thanks for stopping by today.

Bride LO for LOAD

If you are looking for the Sketch~N~Scrap layout today you can find it here

Hello and welcome back to my blog. This layout was created Scrap Happy and for today's prompt for LOAD217:

Today is Day 15. Beauty/Helen of Troy
Remember that contest of which goddess was the fairest? Paris was awarded Helen of Troy, the most beautiful woman in the world and the face that launched a thousand ships. Helen was the daughter of Zeus and Leda (a human).
Share a photo of yourself that makes you feel beautiful. When was it taken? Who took it? Why do you love it? Share a list of things that you find beautiful.
This is a picture of me on my Wedding Day. This is probably one of the few days in my life that I felt most beautiful, being pregnant and carrying my children is another day. My journaling centers around me feeling beautiful that day.
The sketch I used for the layout:
https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/ef/ea/f1/efeaf156093baea7c007dbd3aa8dcf68.jpg
It was a fun sketch to play with :) for this layout. Close ups of the layout:

I dug into some old stickers for the title for this layout and the flower came from my 'Bash'kit.
Another flower and the rhinstones was in my stash awhile too. The sticker border came from that bashkit too. The papers came from counterfeit kit: Glacially Toasted
The journaling.
Thanks for stopping by once more today :) LOAD has been a blast this month with the Greek Mythology theme and it's been fun to wrap a story around each god and goddess of that time period :)

FUNshine layout for a UYS challenge

Good Morning to you :) Today is a new week's challenge over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog, challenge #251. Tammy is hosting this week's challenge and it's a bingo challenge. She thought it might be fun to play a bit of Bingo as we scrap.  So her challenge is to use the BINGO card below as you create your project....you need to use any line horizontal, vertical or diagonal or you can use the 4 corners! Be sure to tell us which line you used in your project!
I used the bottom row: Journal Card (2), wood veneer (2 hearts and an arrow), Ribbon (used up that blue ribbon) Embossing (dry embossing on the circles):

This is also a layout that was created for LOAD217 Day11: Scrapbooking Olympics: We were challenged to 1. Use a Title, 2: Use for colors, 3. Use some type of wood, 4. Use a circle (or 5), 5. Use a number in your journaling. So this was cool that both challenges played off each other :)
Challenge: Use a title: Funshine Use 4 colors: Pink, Black, Blue and Yellow (White as a neutral), Use some type of wood: Wood veneer in 3 places (hearts and arrow), Use a circle (or 5) 5 circles on my layout, but the pattern paper has lots of circles on them :) Use a number in your journaling. The ages of both girls at various times with in the time span of the pictures.
Our Great-Granddaughters, from South Dakota, enjoying a bit of the summer. Were to far away to visit them at this time in our lives with working and all but it's nice to see these kinds of photos of the grands on facebook
I was able to use both last month's counterfeit kit: Glacially Toasted (that pink flower background and the black/white polka dot paper; I used my current kit: A Few of My Favorite Things: the PL cards, the pink dotted paper, the yellow paper and the circles came from various papers from the 6X6 paper pad. I used up the blue ribbon too that I had for both my kit and my challenge over at the 100 Pattern Paper Challenge facebook group. With the leftover papers lots of cute cards are on the way this week for up coming birthdays in April.
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope to see your creation to this fun challenge linked up this week over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog.

101st Pennsylvania Farm Show

Good Morning and welcome once again. If you are looking for the post for Use Your Stuff you can find it here.

Stick It Down's February Double Page Sketch:

This is the layout I created with this sketch:
We went to the Farm Show this year and had what my hubby called a Date Day together. It was a way to get out of the house and enjoy some time together. Seemed a bit smaller this year than it had in past years that we went, but we had a good time.
The left side: I used the photo in the middle for my title, added the ticket we got that day for our vehicle parking. Saw the agricultural exhibits and the FFA exhibits. Nice to see the old tractors and a fun ride for the kids.
The right side of the layout had some various photos of around the Farm Show. (Lots of photos that need scrapped yet-future layouts)
 The journaling
Fun closeup of the both of us checking things out, they also had selfie spots so I took advantage of one of them.
I cut up some pieces of the brochure to get the tags over the pictures for the various times of things at the show.
We had a fun day, I used my January counterfeit kit: Glacially Toasted. Thank you stopping by and I look forward to seeing your double page creation over at Stick It Down

Prime Select Wine for LOAD Day 4

Good Morning and welcome :) Well LOAD is in full swing and I have been busy make a Layout each Day so far in February. This year I was privileged to be one of the designers for a layout for the month and today is my first DT layout for LOAD. For all information about the 217 LOAD
you can find it at Scrap Happy Today's Prompt is:

Day 4. Celebrate/Dionysus
Dionysus is a son of Zeus and the god of wine and theatre. He taught farmers to grow vines, pick grapes, hold them for ripening and press them into wine. As god of wine and theatre Dionysus enjoyed a good celebration.

What is something you’ve celebrated recently? (or go back and tell a story of a great celebration from your past)
This is how I interrupt it:
When I read the above prompt I knew the exact pictures I wanted to scrap, now where are they! Through one afternoon I located these pictures (and a lot more to scrap in the future :) of my husband pressing grapes to make homemade wine. Here are some close ups and the journaling
I used a paper from my 100 pattern paper challenge plus some scraps from that same pile. the date came from stickers that were in my Jan. CKC: Glacially Toasted kit. The wood veneer is from my "BASH"kit. Cool to have so many things available and at my finger tips to grab when needed :)

Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world....

Happy Day for an SNS Sketch Challenge

Good Morning and Happy February! Wow really it's February already! Today Lisa has a fun layout sketch for us to play with over at Sketch~N~Scrap, sketch #122:
No automatic alt text available.

This is what I created from the sketch:
These were the extra pictures that day and made for a a final cool layout, it was a full day and the previous 2 page layout can be found here. I do like to jump around when I'm scrappin :) I used last month's counterfeit kit: Glacially Toasted for the layout. This one had been planned for awhile cause the Happy Day title block was in the envelope with the pictures :) This was just a few days after Zachary's 1st Birthday and Brad was in for 2 weeks before being shipped back over to Afghanistan to finish his tour. He had a full calendar for those 2 weeks but it was great to get to spend some time with him and the family.
The journaling was put on this fun journaling block that came with the other chipboard pieces on the layout (just 2 more pieces to go on that sheet :)
A super sweet picture of Dave with Zachary, that 1st year there weren't to many pictures of them together unless Zachy was crying.
3 Generation picture in the middle of the guys. Son, Grandson and Father/Grandpap
The final embellishment cluster that was on the sketch. It was a Happy Day that day. Thanks for stopping by and look forward to seeing what you create for this sketch challenge.

How Cute Are You?! for a Lasting Memories Scrapbook Layout Challenge

Good Afternoon you all :) I hope this Sunday has been a good day for you so far. I was up way to late scrapping this layout and then the old PC was being sluggish so I only got the layout up on the LM site and decided to blog it today. Yep April is the month that I'm looking at to get me a new laptop! So over this old PC but it works for what I need at the moment, just way to slow!
So this Month's challenge is being Hosted by Michele and here theme is:
ALL IN THE NAME OF LOVE!!

LM 329 - Use your STUFF - Use a product that starts with each letter of the word LOVE.

I used Layers, Orange, Vellum, Enamel Dots

That big Orange Striped star was in my "BASH"kit this month so I was glad to use that up on this layout and worked out perfect for my needed O in the word LOVE.
The rest of the layout came from my current counterfeit kit: Glacially Toasted other than the vellum I used grabbed that from my vellum folder (I am just a wee bit organized when it comes to theme and specialty papers :) That folder is getting a bit light OMgosh I may have to go out shopping for more vellum! But for now I still have a few pieces to get met through for a bit of the spring scrapping.
I used the current sketch over at Let's Get Sketchy for my inspiration for my layout:

Using the star for the photo mat that they had in the sketch :) This was a fun and quick layout to put together with this sketch.
Fun grabbing the diecut and the acrylic tags from my kit and made the journaling card for part of one of the paper layers that would have been unseen.
The cute title came from one of the stickers that I have from one of the sheets of stickers from the sticker challenge over in the FB group 100 Pattern Paper Challenge group. Lots of layers including that vellum layer.
Used some staples to hold down some of the elements of the layout. Enamel dots to finish off the letters of the word LOVE. This was a fun challenge
This picture of Zachary has been around for quite awhile and so glad to finally get it on a scrapbook page. It's fun to do the current photos, but it's fun to go back and see him at this size too :) Lots more photos of him and the other grandbabies that need to be scrapped yet, just not enough time in the week, retirement another 10 years away yet so do what I can for now. Just need to make sure I add the day and the story to the pictures now so they are not forgotten.
Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up too in my little corner of the world and I look forward to seeing what you all create with the letters L-O-V-E

Live & Play for CKC Jan Blog Hop

Hi you all and welcome. It is the January Blog Hop over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog. You should have come here from Lisa's blog wonder what creative goodness she has done this month.
This month, you can choose to share any project you have made with your Counterfeit Kit Challenge kit which you have not shared on your blog yet. Your project could be related to any of the three challenges or maybe just something you made with your kit. As a reminder, here are the three challenges this month:
This month I didn't have a chance to tackle the challenges (yet? still have time right) so this layout I created yesterday when I came across these old pictures of my husband with his Massey Ferguson Tractor and Jake was in one of the pictures too so that was an added bonus. It's been awhile since I had seen the hubby clean shaven, sigh............
I used the sketch over at Let's Get Sketchy for my layout:
It was a fun fast sketch to use too. Some close ups of the layout:
I used my CKC Glacially Toasted kit for this masculine layout, the burlap paper was a nice touch to the layout as well as those fun die-cuts.
The journaling of the layout. Thank you for stopping by today. Now off you go and see what creative sweetness Kelly has crafted over at her blog.

Feeling Blue for a Sketch N Scrap Card Sketch Challenge

Good Morning and welcome. Today I have a Sketch N Scrap #90 Card Sketch Challenge for you and a fun sketch too.

This is the Get Well Wishes card I made from the sketch:
The umbrella paper in my 6X6 paper pad that is in my current CKC kit:Glacially Toasted worked out great for this card as it's cold season I'll be ready to send out a card. The wood veneer mushrooms were in my "Bash"ket along with the daisy sticker border paper so the card came together very simply and very fast :)
Brought the front elements of the card into the inside for a quick note before I send it off :)
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing what you create for this fun sketch over at Sketch N Scrap
