Nature Lover LO for the Counterfeit Kit Challenge #1

Good Morning and welcome :) Here's the 1st challenge of the month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Leslie is the host this month and she has this to say for this 1st challenge:

 Somewhat Sketchy

ACOT Becky Fleck September 1 Weekly Sketch Challenge. Link: https://www.acherryontop.com/articles/Becky-Fleck-Sketch-Challenge-292-18805

Feel free to flip, flop, twist, turn, or otherwise make it your own! I see 2 cluster areas, lots of layering behind the photos, and 2 somewhat tiny photos.
This is the layout I created with the sketch

I enjoyed digging into my current kit Harvest Happy and choosing the papers for the layout. This layout is also my LOAD for Day 11 so the prompt was what things you baby or treat with extra attention and when I looked through my current prints and seen these I knew this was the story to tell :) the technique was to use pastel colors and I was able to bring those in through the fabric paper in my kit and used it for paper layers.

Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

New Birfeeder LO

Hello :) Calvinball layout today :) This layout was created over the weekend :) The pictures are new pictures I took Saturday and I finished up the layout on Sunday. Took some pictures yesterday that will be for some upcoming layouts this month too :) why wait a whole year to scrap photos when I can print at home and get the layouts done now!

This layout was created using Day 7 from Christys Beautiful Life series #30DSCBL7 and I got 15 points for Calvinball too. I used a cutfile from Kreative Cut club Nov 2019 kit

I used my current counterfeit kit: Teamwork for my layout pattern papers and such, found the apple diecuts in my stash in reference to the Green Apple tree that the birdfeeder is in.

If you interesting in finding out more about Calvinball you can go here: to http://scraphappy.org/calvinball for more info! Thanks for stopping by today

Birdwatching Even on Vacation

Good Morning and welcome to the 1st post of the day :) Use Your Stuff challenge blog has a fun challenge today: This week, we are challenging you to create a project that uses one or all of the 3 b's; birds, bees or butterflies. I chose birds for my feature today:
This layout was fun to create using a grid format. The prompt was brought about from LOAD Mini2018 Out of this World. The prompt for Day 6 was Supermassive Blackhole: A black hole absorbs all around it. What takes up your energy? What do you gravitate towards? The technical prompt was to use a dark background. Definitely gravitate towards birdwatching and I used a dark background :)
 Cluster up by the title
 Journaling
 cluster by the journaling block
fun details in one of the blocks "_
Did some birdwatching even while on vacation. On the 9th Street Pier on the Eire Lakefront. While waiting on the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame to open we did some exploring on the pier checking out the old Steamship that was docked there as a museum and the barn swallow seem to be watching us :) The gull was taking a break and looking for something to eat while we were there

Male Purple Finch LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome to the 1st sketch challenge of the month over at  Sketch N Scrap.. Here is the sketch:
No photo description available.
Love the layers and the multi-picture placement of this sketch so it was easy to create with this sketch with some newer pictures I took in April.
I love when new birds show up in our yard and with the new sunflower seed feeder added to the bird feeding area in the yard is was cool to see these Male Purple Finches. Just a wee bigger than House Finch so when I first saw them I had to do some investigating to find out what they were.
 My journaling
A close up of one of the photos of the birds. Not a purple bird but a very cranberry color to them. I added some purple flowers to the layout to justify the name of the bird in the layout. I used paper from my April counterfeit kit: Spring Break. Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm creating in my little corner of the world. I look forward to seeing your creations over at Sketch N Scrap.

American Goldfinch LO for Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) Today Master Forger Julene has challenge us for the 2nd challenge of the month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog to feature feathers which is still trendy. Feathers was part of the kit this month and this is what I created with feathers:
I had a set of die-cut feathers is my kit with some paper that I wanted to use too and binge cut some feathers to use on my layout for embellishing, with the theme being birds thought the feathers were a natural embellishment.
I added the black heart washi to enhance the black from the birds colors, punched edges and my journaling
Closeup of the feathers within the title using gold foam backed thickers
Another cluster of feathers and in each cluster I added a word phrase too :) photos of both the male and the female goldfinches
The last cluster of feathers. Thank you for stopping by today :) I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog

European Sterling layout for Use Your Stuff challenge

We were challenged this week to use Animals for our project :) I got to go no further than my own house as we have a pooch that shares it with us, but also the front yard as I'm an avid birderer too so will see many feather friends too. This layout is about one of the birds we see in the winter time at the feeders
This layout was created for LOAD218 Day 27 One of the 3 prompts was Create a page about Wildlife. Even though we recently went to a zoo, wildlife for me is to look through my bird pictures :) Using just a project life card from my February counterfeit kit: Pretty Little Pasttimes, the rest came from my stash
The journaling about the bird, I do enjoy scrapping about birds
Some close up pictures of the layout and using some raw chipboard for my clusters too

Thank you for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge of Animals over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog.

Song Sparrow layout for Lasting Memories challenge

Good Morning :) and welcome to the last challenge of the month over at Lasting Memories layout challenges:
Today we have a new challenge for the week. Our theme for March has been - March - National Month Of... and this week's challenge is:

LM #388 - Red Cross Month

Create a layout that has Red/White color scheme (can have the plus signs too that have been so popular lately) or if you ever did anything or received anything for the Red Cross tell us about that :)

I went with the Red/ White color theme:
This layout was created during LOAD218: Day 23: The prompt I chose was Where do you find art in your daily life? What is something that is beautiful and makes your life just a little bit nicer because of it?        Nature is God's Art and I look to it often for beauty and artsy appeal too :) Using my February counterfeit kit for this layout. Sparrows are one of the hardest of the birds that visit our feeders to identify, but with lots of sources I think I've narrowed this one down to be a Song Sparrow :)
Using of variations of Red and White to my layout. Red letters for my tile and a white pattern paper for my background
a project life card for my journaling and very limited on embellishments for this layout to make the pictures really shine. One thing about LOAD is I don't take the time to over think the layout so I can get it done very fast.
Love these pictures of this young bird in the feeder. Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creations for this fun topic and thank you for playing along with my hosted month over at Lasting Memories layout challenges blog.

Snow Day

Yes these photos were taken on a Snowy Day :) The layout came about from LOAD 817 Mini: Now and Then Day 5: In Now and Then the friends learn to embrace their differences and individuality. Show us something you do or enjoy that is a little off the beaten path or makes you unique. I've done many layouts about my uniqueness so now I'm starting to pull from conversations that I have with people I work with. I find that my many hobbies make me unique in that where I am working at there aren't many that know what I'm talking about with I say I'm a scrapper or a Birder :) These were taken in 2016, since I have started birding I have honed in on my camera skills and my listening skills, now to go a bit father next year and travel away from the house to see the birds.
I used the sketch #288 over at Sketches in Thyme for my layout:
I love sketches like this tha have more than 1 or 2 photos on it :)
 My journaling
Close up of 2 of the photos. The felt birdhouse came off a Christmas gift bag one year and I was glad to finally be able to use it on a layout :) That has been out a few times but just didn't work till now. I used my counterfeit kit from last month: Geometric Splatter
Close up of the other 2 pictures. Thanks for stopping by and checking out what I've been doing :)

Nothern Flicker-UYS challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) This week's challenge over at Use Your Stuff Challenge Blog is All Creatures Great and Small - Create a project with an animal on it...it could be the photo, the DP that you use, or some sort of embellishment. I have created alot of Bird layouts since I love Bird Watching and this is one I made during LOAD:
 From LOAD517 Day 3:
Prompt:
The Jazz Singer (talkies) – 1927
All the words! Tell a big story with lots of words in the journaling OR tell the story of a sound or quote you often hear.
I used alot of words in a variety of ways on my layout to tell the story.
I had used my April counterfeit kit: Spring Garden for this layout :) I think I found the inspiration for this layout on pinterest. Grabbing a piece of Cardstock (don't use often enough anymore) from my stash. I had fun creating the layout in a grid format with pictures and cutapart cards.
My journaling:
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation of All Creatures Great and Small over at Use Your Stuff Blog
