Hi :) It's been picking up at work so got some overtime this past week and some next week ahead so not much time to scrapbook, so glad I plan ahead when I'm a design team member just in case and this is one of those just in case moments. Got to enjoy seeing the Little League World Series USA championship game today here at the house on TV with a record crowd in South Williamsport for the game today, what a game! It's great to see PA win it and now on to the big game tomorrow with playing against Japan :) Would love to see PA get the title this year, but if not they played one heck of a World Series and should be so proud at this moment making it this far without losing 1 game that is very impressive :) Okay so now onto scrappin :)
Were in a new month of challenges at Lasting Memories and this month's theme is "Techniques and Titles" and this week's challenge is - Mixed Media w/a BOLD title. This is a layout I did in May during LOAD515: Day 2 plus I made this layout using Counterfeit Kit Challenge for their national scrapbook day challenges of:
This is one side of a 2 page layout (which I need to complete sometime in the near future :) This was based off a sketch from the sketchathon challenge that I cannot get access to now, but it was a fun one to do :). Also it was from the (Inter)National Scrapbook Day challenges over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge: Leslie's Gold glitter Challenge at Counterfeit Kit challenge.
LOAD515: Day 2: Let’s talk Liner Notes, and dedications!
It’s always fun and interesting reading about who helped the artist
make an album and who they dedicate the album to. Who do you dedicate
your scrapbooks to and why?
Mixed Media w/a BOLD title is what I think I have :) The bold would be that word LOVE for the Maggie Holmes and the mixed media would be the embossed stamped image :)
I've got various reasons why I love to scrapbook and alot of my pages focus on my grand kids :) Above 4 of Albert's kids together. Below picture is Brad's boys taken when we were over for Tristan's first birthday (very low key compared to Zachary's party)
I had fun using the CTMH Gold embossing powder for fun details on my layout with the stamp on the title and the doily stamp scattered about the layout.
Then there is this cutie too :) Buddy brings life into our empty nester house. I addeed sequin stars to the layout and that fun glitter tape pennant for the gold glitter challenge. So to answer LOAD question: Who do you dedicate
your scrapbooks to and why? That produced my journaling for the layout.
I scrapbook because I enjoy doing it. But I have to dedicate my scrapbooking to the moments that are captured by the camera. I have a family I love to scrapbook about and one page can't be dedicated to all my stars.
(I don't think 2 pages will be enough but I will give a try :) Put that on my list to do for September to finish off this layout.
Thank you for stopping by and Who do you dedicate
your scrapbooks to and why?
I hope to see your creation on the Lasting Memories link up soon.

Happy Birthday Danaisha :) Funday Friday post
Hi you all :) Oh the Little League World Series is in full swing and now were getting down to the championship games. So glad to see PA still in it (yes I'm PA proud!) and their game with Texas is on Saturday as well and Mexico playing Japan for the international championship, then Sunday is the final championship game. Tomorrow while I try to keep up with the game we'll still be doing tomatoes, probably juicing them again. Dave and Brad will be also doing peppers, so a busy weekend indeed.
But I was able to get this card done for a friend at work for his daughter. Today is Funday Friday over at Jo's Scrap Shack and the theme this week is anything goes and our sponsor for this week is Bugaboo Stamps. I wish I would have had time to do a card with a bugaboo stamp, but with overtime this week it just wasn't happening. But, I did make a card and since it's Anything Goes I'm doing very well with that theme.
This was a fun card to do :) the reason is I got to use my sketch pens for my cameo :) I've never done that at all and thought this would be the best way to personalize the card. So I went off to my challenges folder and found a fun card sketch to start me off with. It's from Sketch N Scrap and it's their card sketch #55
Another fun sketch to add to my collection. I really like these sketches that have the split patterns for some fun results.
I will also be entering this into a new blog challenge: Silhouette Challenges for using my Silhouette cameo to sketch the personalized birthday greeting. If you have a silhouette you may want to check out this new challenge site :)
I found this fun paper in my atd Occasions & Celebrations paper pad and made sure to place this flower corner in the right spot so I could use the sketch pen to right out this part of the card. It was fun playing with all the pinks on this card :)
The rest of the card came together using items from my current counterfeit kit other than the pink glitter tape :) But that did come out of of my stash of tapes/washis. That red heart paper just fit perfectly for this card. The celebrate was fussy cut from a piece of paper and the doily is from my manual die cutter when I was playing one night with it. So glad I found a use for those balloons (now they are out of my stash :)
The inside of the card the verse came from 'Just the Right Words' book typed in my computer program and printed on that same paper as the front. I added the other side of the doily cut, more glitter tape and the heart pattern paper to complete the card. Made a nice card to give to his daughter without alot of work involved. Hey you all have a great weekend and I look forward to see what you create over at Jo's for Funday Friday.

CKCB August Members' Blog Hop
Hello and Good Morning. Today is the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog August blog hop and you should have come to my blog from Lisa's blog :) So excited to go and see what Lisa has done, but I'm excited to go and see what all the members have done. So if you are just now joining the hop you may want to go to Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog to start at the beginning of the hop. This month we got to choose from these 3 challenges:
Challenge #1: Blank Canvas: Make white the base for your project
Challenge #2: Gift-wrap Inspired: Take a design element from gift-wrap and get creative
Challenge #3: "Friends": Use the word "Friends as inspiration
I chose to do challenge #1 and start with a blank canvas. I'm not one for doing this but it seems most of the layouts and the forgeries I did this month started from plain cardstock. So I got a sheet of white cardstock and went looking for a sketch to use for the chosen pictures I have and found a good one at Scrapbook Challenges and went with the original one for my layout:
A very fun sketch to follow and gave a nice backdrop to my pictures and papers from my kit.
I used a card out of the Basic Grey: Capture snippets pad and cut it up to include on the layout in 3 places. I added SU candy dots and misted with Heidi Swap's Teal color shine
The papers come from my current kit and one of my former kits. I was enjoying capturing these pictures of the Downy Woodpecker that day The sun was so bright that day I had to get under the tree to see to take most of the pictures

This is the cut up spot that has part of the journaling A added one of the felt pieces I had in my kit and the arrow piece was from the strip piece off of the 12 X 12 paper
Here again is the other cut up piece for journaling and more of that strip. These pictures are very current was take in July so they came in from the last batch of photos I got done. It's nice to have a variety of pictures around to choose from some current and some not so current. Thank you for stopping by and seeing what's up in my little corner of the world.
Now your off to Susan's blog to see which challenge she decided to take on.

Lasting Memories: Create a layout with one of these titles
Good Morning to you :) We have had a busy weekend so far. Little League World Series is buzzing in our town and we are lucky enough to have a blimp buzzing over head :) But then we stayed home and juiced tomatoes so most of the day was surrounded by picking and cleaning tomatoes, cutting, putting the tomatoes through the squeezo and then cooking down a bit and jarring it (34 qts) for to be used in the winter months to make pasta/pizza sauce. So today is a bit more low key and hoping to get to scrap a bit.
The challenge this week for Lasting Memories is to Create a layout with one of these titles:
Choose One...
1. Reach for the stars
2. Aim High
3. You are my sunshine
It's time for our last challenge for August... and I think you will like it. :)
Choose a TITLE (Above) for your layout. Easy? Of course!!
You have until this Friday the 28th to join us.
My title work :) I used the royal blue thickers (blue and white is the school colors) and CTMH A typeface Alphabets (love this stamp set :) I liked using the blue paper of the map and looks like it could resemble a school. The white stars on yellow is a piece of washi tape.
Thanks so much for stopping by my little corner part of the world and hope you find time to create with us this week and link up! You have until this Friday the 28th to join us.
The challenge this week for Lasting Memories is to Create a layout with one of these titles:
I chose to use the title: Reach for the Stars:
This is my grand daughter Amber :) Also these are pictures she posted on facebook. I have pictures of her acceptance letter, a semi current picture and here student pass for her new venture. We are so proud of her as we are with all our grandkids and it's so cool to see her all excited to take on this new challenge for her.
I used my counterfeit kit that I made for the Great Master Forger Search challenge. The stars are from my current month's counterfeit kit too.
I used the sketch #86 over at Sketch N Scrap the August 1st layout sketch:
I used one more picture so I went with the grid style with the photos to keep that same style as the sketch. This sketch worked out very well for my layout.
The top corner I included the journaling and used a Project Life card that I cut down for that one piece and my fiscars corner punch worked out well for the rounded corners (almost similar). March 2nd date is in reference to the fb post of the picture and congrats to her about getting accepted. My title work :) I used the royal blue thickers (blue and white is the school colors) and CTMH A typeface Alphabets (love this stamp set :) I liked using the blue paper of the map and looks like it could resemble a school. The white stars on yellow is a piece of washi tape.
The photo section includes 3 varieties of paper. Added the gold and silver glitter stars, the metal diamond shape to fill in the space and a really nice touch to the layout. The journey spot is from Making Memories: Design Shop Great Escape layered embellishments. I used white enamel dots My Minds Eye Fancy That Enamel Dots/Shapes pack.

CKC Great Master Forger Search
Hello :) This is my response to Counterfeit Kit Challenge's The Great Master Forger Search challenge :) As soon as I seen the post about the challenge I knew I wanted to give it a go!
"Hi you all, have you heard about a blog called Counterfeit Kit Challenge? I didn't till last month when I stopped by Cindy's Creations Blog and check it out." That was the beginning of my journey with this fun blog in November 2013 and I haven't missed a month since, I also increased my paper crafting double if not more since doing Counterfeit kits. For me the quickest way to craft is with a Counterfeit Kit and I just love that I can produce such fun kits from my own stash. Get ready this post is the fun journey I took this month for the response to The Great Master Forger Search.
So my journey began by answering these fun question in this post at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Through these questions my replies gave me my kit choices: 1. Paper Choice a. Basic Grey: Second City collection:
Now this collection is a bit out of my comfort zone, but this girl came up with some fun ideas to tackle some of the papers to this kit. First I usually start off my kits by taking a good look at the kit that we are to forge and write down what I see:
Then I will try to find things in my own stash that are similar to what is in the counterfeit kit. Here is what I came up with: This is Out and About
Then I will try to find things in my own stash that are similar to what is in the counterfeit kit. Here is what I came up with: This is Out and About
I did both A and B sides of each paper and 3 papers I will be forging. The rest of my kit comes from these answers:
2. Tools a. stamps, 3. Embellishments b. washi tape, 4. Materials a. metal, 5. Tiny bits c. enamel dots, 6. More Embellishments a. layered embellishments,
7. fun extras b. something that spins: I created something that spins on a layout:
This is going to be the title page to a day trip we took to Altoona, PA. I've got lots more layouts to do to tell the story of that day. I decided that the view reel would be a fun way to add bits of pictures of the trip. The view wheel is a silhouette cut for my cameo and I attached it to the layout with a brad from the kit
This is where I started. I used a square punch to punch out the pictures I wanted in the window of the reel. I then added tape to both sides of the middle hole since it was bigger than the brad I was using and added the brad and attached to the background paper loosely enough that it would turn.Added a cover paper like a pocket to house the bottom part of the reel so it has to be turned to see the pictures. I added metal triangle studs to the top of the layout with the intention of the flow of the triangles looks like your to turn it that direction.
On the cover paper I added the rest of my layout: A picture of the museum when we arrived, a picture of the train sitting out in the park part of the museum and a picture of my better half as we were looking through one of the engines. (I learned for another scrappy friend about doing the title pages, she does them for her on going vacation albums and I thought that was a great idea to house all our vacation layouts in an album by itself, so I decided to do the same :)
I did 3 forgeries. 2 were very easy I got to enjoy being a kid and did some doodling
I just used a marker to draw circles around the circles and added some happy faces about the page too I've got the perfect pictures to go with this paper (a layout coming next week) The other dotted paper I added lines with a pen, added gold lame smooch to the center and also added silver smooch lines scattered about the layout.
Since I'm not much of the City Nights person and I have no city scenes in my stash I decided to use the starry paper for my back drop for my city nights paper. Now the city building paper was a bit harder to forge and it took 2 tries to get a look that I wanted. First try was a stamp and embossing powder:
I didn't care much for the final set of embossed stamped images so I went back to the drawing board and used my cameo to cut out some city views:
As I was putting these together I realized I didn't cut enough so while I was looking at the 1st set of embossed ones, thought I would fussy cut some and use both to make the forgery and I also decided to go with the black greyish paper instead of the starry paper, so this is what I came up with:
The last thing I needed to do for this challenge was: 4. Issue a challenge and create one project based on your challenge.
For my challenge, I issue would be pick an element of your page and repeat it (ex: photos, embellishments, paper, a shape or a design) as many times as you'd like. I would suggest at least 3 times to establish a clear pattern of repetition. I used washi tape for mine and this is what I came up with:
The washi tape I chose to use. Some from my kit and some more to add more variety and color.
This is what I did to create the background I used one of the grey card stocks and just started adding washi tape varying where the different colors and designs where going on the paper. I used clear wet adhesive to layer of the tape to make sure it didn't peel off after the layout was completed. Majority of the repletion was 4 times but there are some 3 times in there too. From there I then did my layout:
I grabbed my 2014 pictures left to scrap and dug out these 2 of my DIL and our grandson having fun taking selfies. She posted these on facebook and I saved them just for a layout like this. I also included our facebook conversation in the journaling :)A close up shot of the layout and I also added repetition on the layout with the red and silver brads and the enamel dots. Added the dymo created words on the frame with a cluster that also included a metal flower.
I love this fun selfie they did. I added the metal heart charm here and added a enamel heart to that. I used some chipboard pieces from Simple Stories 24/7 line for the title: Today Snapshot and another cluster there by the word and camera.
The journaling spot was fussy cut from a project life card and added the lines with a stamp. Distressed it with SU Brown Sugar ink so it wasn't so bright white on the layout. That is what I have for you today :)
I enjoyed this journey to create all the things needed for this post it was a fun process forging so many pieces and in some fun ways that I would not have considered if not challenged to do so. For me to make my kits work I keep them next to my craft desk so I always have it available at my finger tips and mosts months I use my counterfeit kit exclusively for my carfting needs. I enjoy scrapping, making cards, the occasional smash book page, some project life and December dailies (lots of UFIs floating about my craft room that I need to finish up) and I like to make tags for my Christmas Gifts. I have occasionally made minibooks for myself and for gifts. Thank you for letting me try out for The Master Forger Search :)
To all thank you for seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world :)

Oh Hey! Funday Friday Challenge
Hi you all, it's Friday :) Well here in Williamsport, PA we are in the beginning of the Little League World Series at the moment with the games starting today. We are lucky to have PA represented in the series this year and the team looks great from what I seen on the internet. Now we'll have to wait and see what happens, but the traffic is going be crazy! With Little League Series comes tomato season here at the house so tomorrow will be harvesting, juicing and canning the juice to be saved for the winter to make the sauce. I hope you all have some grand plans this weekend too.
Today is Funday Friday challenge over at Jo's Scrap Shack this week the theme is Lazy Days of Summer. Well here at our house with my husband's hobby there isn't many lazy days in the summer. So I chose a really cute digital stamp that goes right with our life in the summer. Our sponsor for this challenge is Little Blue Buttons Stamps: I made a card with LBBS digi stamp Gardening Charlie:
I enjoyed putting this card together :) I used this fun digital stamp and colored her up with my bic markers. I also punched the corners with my fiscars punch and then added Orange Peel Ice stickles to each of the holes made from the punch. I enjoyed using the sketch over at Mojo Monday again this week for the layout of my card:
I used my current counterfeit kit for the card. The papers came from the paper pad I added to the kit, the flowers and sentiment came from the BasicGrey rubons and added the 2 wooden veneer for movement.
I brought the same papers and design in the inside of the card too. Added a couple more rubon flowers to the bottom corners. Thank you for stopping by and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world.

Lasting Memories a Sunburst: Layout Hello Sunshine 2012
Good morning :) We had a busy day yesterday hitting some local yard sales (I found a great buy in a wooden CD tower I want to convert for my inks, now to figure out how :) Also the household chores laundry, vacuuming and such. To finish off the day we enjoyed a salad outside on the back deck area while the steaks were cooking on the grill. After providing meals (our legs) to the outside bugs we decided to eat the steak and corn on the cob in the house. Looking so forward to getting the back area under roof so we can enjoy sitting outside at night. Local news is the area is preparing to have LL teams in from around the world for the Little League Series here in our area. Been watching a team from PA and rooting them on to be in it, we'll see later today if they make it. So that's about it for yesterday, now on to today:
Today is Sunday and that is a new weekly challenge over at Lasting Memories
I chose to do the Sunburst for my challenge. I used my cameo to cut out the background pieces for my layout, including the photo mats. It's was one of those scrapbook page kit files from the silhouette store. This is what I did with it:
This layout is of Brad, Katherine and Zachy in 2012, different days but the same month and year. Brad and Katherine having a playful photo while spending the day together on their Anniversary. The photo of Zachary was posted on facebook and I also wrote in the caption from the photo from Katherine and my response.
Silly selfie from these 2 :) Love thatOur Mister Tough Guy! Zachary enjoying one of his rides :) plus the journaling block.. I had fun using the other side of the blue diamond paper for the border strip that I had punched with the eksuccess Argyle punch.
This part of the layout has the title work that came with that cutting file. I used wink of stella to glitter up the sunshine cut. The wood and pink glasses both came from my current counterfeit kit as did the yellow polka dot and the navy hello paper, the wood veneers and the washi tape. The blue diamond came from last months. The stamp set has been sitting on my desk waiting to be used so this was the perfect time to do that a CTMH stamp of the month: My Sunshine and I used their Goldrush ink too. The heart paperclip is from SU I'm thinking I found it in a box. It was fun to get into some old pictures of the crew :) still lots to scrap in that box yet :) Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to see your creativeness linked up to Lasting Memories this month's challenges.
