Good morning :) Today is the day for the new Lasting Memories challenge and it's All about the sketch, liquid glass and campfire theme this week! Easy Peasy right? Oh and the new month's Theme: "Hot, Hot, Hot" w/weekly products! It's gonna be a fun month to scrap :) I looked over some summer photos to print off WITH the theme of "Sitting Around the Campfire" (the theme of this challenge) and I found some fun photos to finish off a fun day we had. We decided to have hot dogs cooked over the open fire :) I also used these pictures during the #IspyPI summer photo scavenger hunt for one of the words they provided HOT so I guess it fits well for this theme project.
I don't do to many foodie layouts so this was fun to do, just an emphasis on a fun thing we do in the summertime that we really enjoy :) I used the same piece of pattern paper twice with the main one and used the other side for the huge circle in the layout. I added Heidi Swapp Gold color shine splatters to the upper corner of the layout to give it something a bit extra. The sketch:
I had fun using paper from last month's Counterfeit kit Master Forger contest and paper from this month's kit plus a couple of the project life cards from this month's kit too. I used the liquid glass on a circle cut out from a paper that was in this month's kit.
I wanted it to look like a ring of fire and added gold glitter to it before it dried. No matter how I took the picture the center words were not coming out readable but it says full of life.
One nice thing about the Project Life cards the word cards can be a lot of fun to add to a layout. The Enjoy Life became my title and the These are the days fit well where the extra block was in the sketch. I added the orange enamel dots, the large one covers a bit of an empty space that was there (something I learned in May Flaum's classes.
The journaling of the moment :)
Thanks for stopping by and make sure to check out what my DT sisters have done too, lots of inspiration for the use of liquid glass. I look forward to seeing what you all create and link up this month :)

A Gamer Card for Funday Friday
Good Morning and yep it's Friday :) Yep that's it just Friday :) Funday Friday over at Jo's Scrap Shack to be exact and this week's theme is Anything Goes :) Our sponsor this week is Di's DigiStamps
For my project I made a personalized Gamer Card for a coworker's son's birthday :) This one took a bit to do but got it done in plenty of time:
I used my silhouette software to create this shape card and added the personalization with a sketch pen in the cameo. I enlarged the cut file for a card size and added the bottom part of the card with tape.
I also used my printer for the personalized birthday message and cut it out with my cameo. The card was made with all cardstock but the gray pieces were cut with a gray paper that was in my last month's counterfeit challenge kit :) I will also be entering this into the blog challenge: Silhouette Challenges for using my Silhouette cameo
Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see your creation over at Jo's Scrap Shack
So make sure to play along this week~

CKCB September Members' Blog Hop
Good Morning :) Been quite busy lately, but I wanted to stop just a moment to enjoy a few moments with the blog hop over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog :) You should have arrived from Jemma's blog and if you do get lost you can find the hopping list at the end of the post. The
challenges this month are:
Challenge #1: Single Pop of Colour on White - keep most of your project white and use one nice pop of colour
Challenge #1: Single Pop of Colour on White - keep most of your project white and use one nice pop of colour
Challenge
#2: Card Collection - make a collection of three cards using the same type of paper/embellishments
Challenge #3: Mix a Sketch - mix the two sketches together to make a fun, one of a kind project
Challenge #3: Mix a Sketch - mix the two sketches together to make a fun, one of a kind project
I chose Challenge #3, yep I'm all about sketches so when I seen the challenge about mixing a sketch I knew I had to give that a whirl.
These were the sketches that I had to mash together for my layout (yep I'm one of those Glee fans :) So my layout came from rotating the 1st sketch a turn to the right and keeping the center of the 2nd sketch just shifting it over to the left so I can keep the same line going as in the 1st sketch.
I wanted to keep the main focus of the layout on this wonderful picture of our daughter Tammy watching the sunrise on Lake George. The picture is more vibrant than what is shows here and the colors of the layout is pinks and golden yellow.
I brought in from the 1st sketch the tag block for my journaling spot. I brought is some blue from the picture here in the block. I used all papers from my current kit, I used 3 project life cards (one for the journaling, one for the edge to add the title and the other was a cut out of I (heart) TODAY (this was the one thing I flipped out of the sketch to make it work) I will also be including this layout in the Scrappin N Chattin group for their polka dot challenge.
Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I am up too and I encourage you to give Counterfeit Kit Challenge a try for a month you will be amazed at how fast you can get a layout or a card done cause the thinking process is done (why pay so much for a premade kit anyways :) it's just so nice to shop from you own stash :) This layout took me only about an hour to complete.
Now off you go to see what Stephanie has create for the hop her blog is here

I Love Rock N Roll layout for Lasting Memories
Hi you all and welcome to the last challenge of this month for Lasting Memories
This is another layout that I created for May LOAD This layout was from May 29th prompt: Rock-a-bye baby: which musical genre will inspire your story? Take your pick; lullabies or rock music! Need help? Who comes to mind when you think about lullabies (or rock music)? Scrapbook them!
So I went with Rock n Roll and a story I have been wanting to tell just not sure how. Didn't have any pictures of that night so I went to the internet and got the pictures off of Google images of Joan Jett during that time ad a photo of me during that time to capture the story.
The journaling consists of the story I found online and my own story of what I remember. This was my first official date after my divorce: My first date after my divorce, he had taken me to see Joan Jett and the Blackhearts at the fair. Such a fabulous show including the incident information I found online. The picture of me is from a day me and the kids were hanging out over at Lycoming Creek enjoying the water abit. I don't have many pictures during some of the time after my divorce so it's cool that I can associate a picture with a time period.
My title came for one of her most popular songs and the punch that I used was a corner punch to round off the edge of the one paper I used my May Counterfeit Kit for the layout and it included these fun punched out borders.
Lots of star power on this layout with the stars in the title and the stars about the page. I've been to a few concerts and each one I remember because of something that took place there and this is the story told of this one. Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to see your creations this month :)

Hi you all :) Happy Friday :) Sorry so quiet this month, been on vacation and then come back to work and were doing lots and lots of OT (Happy Black Friday to me I guess :) Work's Black Friday sales will help when were really slow in Jan and Feb. So best make this quick I got to get to work tonight yet.
This week's theme over at Jo's Scrap Shack is Boys to Men and the sponsor of this week's challenge is Little Blue Buttons Stamps: I made a card with LBBS digi stamp Pirate Sam:
This was a fun stamp to color up for my card and perfect for one of my grandboys :) I used the sketch over at Stick it Down:
I don't do to many of the longer style cards but I really liked this sketch when I seen it come through in my emails and knew I wanted to use it and with the paper for DCWV: Rock Star pad and the fun ship sticker from SandyLion essentials sticker pack really created a fun different card for me.
The background woodgrain paper came from last month's Counterfeit kit and I used my brother labler to make the sentiment I even used the wood function to stay within the boat theme :)
So how do you play along? Well I'll tell you, lol :) Create a card, layout or project for the boys or men in our lives and get it linked up to Jo's blog:

Chaotic Fun for Lasting Memories Challenge
Hi you all, we are away at the moment this weekend enjoying the Nittany Antique Tractor show at Penns Caves. A show that my husband has been preparing for quite awhile it's good to see it finally come together. So this week's challenge over at Lasting Memories is Ink splatters and Mixed alpha fonts/letters and I created this layout in May during LOAD515:
I had finally got all the pictures from this fun event scrapped with this layout. I wanted to make my title as chaotic as the name of the tour. So I had fun playing with the fonts for this added some recollections red ink misted on the layout for some contrast and color to the background paper. The papers for this layout would have came out of my May counterfeit kit and this layout is all full of layers.
So the LOAD prompt for this layout was:
Let’s look at some Liner Notes for inspiration for today’s prompt:
Remember how you could slip the lyrics in and out of CD and tape cases? Wasn’t it fun discovering what the artists decided to include with their albums? Make a pocket on your page to hold your journaling or photos.
My pocket is that whole red pattern paper that the photos are on:
Out of the 3 tags on the top this one is the one that is interacted and can be pulled out to see how we felt about the show.
Lots of fun textures to this layout with the strings on the tags, the metal star paper clip
The journaling about the layout, from where we were sitting it was great that they had those large screens at the show, made it so seeing the show was not so chaotic. Fun & entertaining.
The fun title
An up close shot of the pictures in a grid format. I added two cutouts (AWESOME pieces) fussy cut to fit in the right places. The wood veneer arrows to point out the date of the show. This was the 3rd try for Jeff Dunham to attend at Bloomsburg Fair and this particular year we were able to go! Another check-mark off our bucket list. Finally got all these photos of the show scrapped.
Thanks for checking out what is happening in my little corner of the world and I hope to see your creation soon over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Layout Challenges

Funday Friday Sketch Challenge a Kindergarten layout
Hi you all :) Vacation has arrived and we are enjoying time with friends at the tractor show out at Penns Caves. The show is the Nittany Antique Tractor show and Moline is the feature and my husband and I got to be the chosen ones to chair this show. So far it's been going well and were getting a fairly good turnout of Minneapolis Moline tractors.
Today is Funday Friday over at Jo's Scrap Shack and the sponsors this week are: A Day For Daisies and Bugaboo Stamps. We are to use a sketch:
so I made a layout using the sketch:
It's a cool sketch that I knew would transfer over to a scrapbook layout very well. I used Bugaboo stamp: Words from an Angel - Mother
the stamp I used was for another intended purpose for a different layout but when I seen the pictures of Zachary for his 1st day and what Katherine said I knew these would be perfect to scrap with this stamp :)
I used papers from my current counterfeit kit, but I used embellishments from one of last month's kits
That big K is from CTMH stamp set and the the smaller stamp is from a recollections stamp set.
I added the journaling and that just finished off the layout very nicely. They grow up so fast, so far Zachary is enjoying Kindergarten :) Mom well she is working it out well.
For this day we can't forget the ones we lost in 2011, but today is Katherine's birthday so it was fitting to share a layout like this :)
Hope to see your creation over at Jo's Scrap Shack :)
