Hello :) I had an order to do a couple cards from one of my coworkers. One for his fiancée and one for his daughter. He wanted them both personalized so I had fun once again with the sketch pens :) May have to start using these for some fun details on other projects :) I used a heart file for my cameo and in the software I duplicated the heart and welded together to make the card base. So both card bases came from my current counterfeit kit and worked out well for the cards:
His fiancée's was in the purplish and pink card and added some glittery pink hearts :)
The inside of the card, with the chosen sentiment that I got to work with in the heart. This came about from me trying to draw freehand in my silhouette software and use the heart shape for a cutout to cut the printed paper by hand in the right spot. So glad it worked out as well as it did :)
For his daughter I went with the blue tones:
I really like the way the blues of the cardstock, the pattern paper and the sketch pen worked together. I found these 3 glittery clear stars on a sticker set that I may be able to finish up real soon when I come across the pictures I want to use with it first :) Thinking I already have them printed.
The inside sentiment, I did the same technique as I did for the above heart. Yep an enjoyable project and my counterfeit kit had just the right paper for the cards.
As we are getting down to the end of the month, I have been working really hard on my goals for January and getting so close on some and so faraway on others, that I'll be crafting quite a bit over the next few days :) This also gives me insight to what I can do and can't for my crafty goals in the near future. The craft room well that may need another month to finish it up, but I had made some excellent headway last weekend and working on it Saturday again may get it just that much closer to getting finished up :) Have an enjoyable rest of the day and thank you for stopping by and seeing the view from my little corner of the world :)

A Gamer Card for Funday Friday
Good Morning and yep it's Friday :) Yep that's it just Friday :) Funday Friday over at Jo's Scrap Shack to be exact and this week's theme is Anything Goes :) Our sponsor this week is Di's DigiStamps
For my project I made a personalized Gamer Card for a coworker's son's birthday :) This one took a bit to do but got it done in plenty of time:
I used my silhouette software to create this shape card and added the personalization with a sketch pen in the cameo. I enlarged the cut file for a card size and added the bottom part of the card with tape.
I also used my printer for the personalized birthday message and cut it out with my cameo. The card was made with all cardstock but the gray pieces were cut with a gray paper that was in my last month's counterfeit challenge kit :) I will also be entering this into the blog challenge: Silhouette Challenges for using my Silhouette cameo
Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see your creation over at Jo's Scrap Shack
So make sure to play along this week~

Happy Birthday Danaisha :) Funday Friday post
Hi you all :) Oh the Little League World Series is in full swing and now were getting down to the championship games. So glad to see PA still in it (yes I'm PA proud!) and their game with Texas is on Saturday as well and Mexico playing Japan for the international championship, then Sunday is the final championship game. Tomorrow while I try to keep up with the game we'll still be doing tomatoes, probably juicing them again. Dave and Brad will be also doing peppers, so a busy weekend indeed.
But I was able to get this card done for a friend at work for his daughter. Today is Funday Friday over at Jo's Scrap Shack and the theme this week is anything goes and our sponsor for this week is Bugaboo Stamps. I wish I would have had time to do a card with a bugaboo stamp, but with overtime this week it just wasn't happening. But, I did make a card and since it's Anything Goes I'm doing very well with that theme.
This was a fun card to do :) the reason is I got to use my sketch pens for my cameo :) I've never done that at all and thought this would be the best way to personalize the card. So I went off to my challenges folder and found a fun card sketch to start me off with. It's from Sketch N Scrap and it's their card sketch #55

Another fun sketch to add to my collection. I really like these sketches that have the split patterns for some fun results.
I will also be entering this into a new blog challenge: Silhouette Challenges for using my Silhouette cameo to sketch the personalized birthday greeting. If you have a silhouette you may want to check out this new challenge site :)
I found this fun paper in my atd Occasions & Celebrations paper pad and made sure to place this flower corner in the right spot so I could use the sketch pen to right out this part of the card. It was fun playing with all the pinks on this card :)
The rest of the card came together using items from my current counterfeit kit other than the pink glitter tape :) But that did come out of of my stash of tapes/washis. That red heart paper just fit perfectly for this card. The celebrate was fussy cut from a piece of paper and the doily is from my manual die cutter when I was playing one night with it. So glad I found a use for those balloons (now they are out of my stash :)
The inside of the card the verse came from 'Just the Right Words' book typed in my computer program and printed on that same paper as the front. I added the other side of the doily cut, more glitter tape and the heart pattern paper to complete the card. Made a nice card to give to his daughter without alot of work involved. Hey you all have a great weekend and I look forward to see what you create over at Jo's for Funday Friday.

Family Picnic
Hi you all and welcome :) Today's layout was made for the Summer theme over at Creative Cutting Challenge. I used Creative Point's Summer Picnic collection for my Layout heading. The collection also has some other fun summer eatin' cuts too that will definitely get used later this year. Here is the layout I did:
I used Creative Pointe's :

I used the fun Picnic cut for the heading :)
I also used the sketch from Sketch & Scrap: Sketch N Scrap #80

This was a fun sketch to use for my layout.
Graphic Splatters was the prompt for LOAD yesterday: Splatters, sketches, and bold graphics were all part of the New Wave look and feel of the ’80’s. It’s your turn to get artsy – show us your splatters, doodles, or get bold with some graphics! I used alot of misting on the layout.
Variety of different fonts too came into play with the layout.
My preteen and teen year were in the 70s: The colors of the seventies were pretty drab in comparison to those of the psychedelic sixties. So I used the colors but added the dots that were in the graphics back then with the disco era about to happen.
This layout is from when Tammy was visiting in 2013 and the saturday get together with a family picnic meal to round out the day. Thanks for stopping by and we hope you join in with the challenge:
MOST IMPORTANT RULE: You MUST use a SVG or similar electronic cutting file in your project. CRICUT CARTRIDGE ONLY ENTRIES ARE NOT ELIGIBLE. Please make sure that you mention somewhere in your post what part of your project was created with a cutting file. Entries that do not fit this basic requirement will be deleted.

Spring Thank You Card for CCC
Good Morning :) I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! I sure did, lots of crafting, catching up on blogs, emails and facebook and lots of resting too. Today's card is for the Creative Cutting Challenge Spring theme challenge:
When I think of spring I think of the flowers that are starting to bloom, it's always nice to see the crocus peak out from the snow to show there beautiful color. What better way to say Thank You than with a Bouquet/Vase of pretty flowers. This is one of Creative Point's newest svg files:

You got all the fixins for a really cute bouquet. It sized down perfectly for a card front too. I thought a thank you would be a good way to use this card.
I tried something new in my Silhouette program, by duplicating the vase and then doing a release compound path you then get the solid image. So I used that solid image to cut some vellum to represent water in the vase :) I really like how it came out and it's good to learn something new. I used the orange ribbon in my current counterfeit kit with some sequins and a SU Teeny Tiny Wishes set for the sentiment and the banner is from the Echo Park Sweet Day sticker sheet.
Love that you can use all kinds of scraps to make the flowers for the stems. Various papers from this month's counterfeit kit. I popped up the flower heads with foam tape and added a pink sequin to the one flower's center.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to see your creation over at Creative Cutting Challenge here are the details of the challenge:

Baby Buggy Shape card for Creative Cutting Challenge
Good Morning you all :) As I am writing this we are getting another cold day and another cold week, they are talking negative temps again tomorrow morning. I hope this is the final brrrr week as February is coming to an end. The theme today
over at Creative Cutting Challenge is Baby! I have made a shaped card from the Baby Buggy cutting file, here is the card I made:
I just love this file :) You can find the file at Cut and Create: Baby Buggy

The card was made with papers and cardstock from my stash. I inked up the white with SU Baked Brown Sugar ink, found this real pretty clam shell type paper when I was looking for the gold cardstock. the yellow Baby was cut from textured cardstock from a Baby paper pad. I added the button with some CTMH baker's twine and to the wheels I added the Ice Stickles that is in my current kit.
This is how I made it into a card:
This is where I welded it and how it looks opened. Love the welding feature in the cameo software just real easy to use.
this is the card base closed.
You all have a fantastic day and stay warm.......

First Family Photos
Good morning and welcome back to a new challenge over at Lasting Memories the challenge is Anything Goes with a Life's Moment theme. We were blessed last Monday with our newest Great Grandchild :) Her name is Emily Ann and well you'll see all the statistcs in an upcoming layout, but this layout features the photos that Amber took of the family:
How sweet are the moments of those first Family photos. Amber is Jessica's sister and both of them are our granddaughters. Thank goodness for facebook cause it is the only way we have to share in the excitement of this major Life Moment :) See Jessica and family live in South Dakota so it'll be till summer before we get to see Miss Emily Ann in person. So this is one of the pages that will be included in Emily's 1st year book I'm doing for a gift. The layout was pinterest inspired.
This is Jessica our Granddaughter holding her daughter our Great Granddaughter Emily Ann. found out she has a head full of blonde hair :) The other 2 photos are of Jessica, her husband Kevan and Miss Emily Ann.
When I went to start this layout I grabbed all the pinks that I had in this month's counterfeit kit, then pulled out all the baby girl stuff I have (now I'm ready to make this album with it all separated :) The pink cardstock, the heart border strips, the hot pink paper, the wooden veneer pieces scattered about the layout and the cut journaling scallop circles all came from the kit. The alphas came for the baby girl stuff I pulled for the layout. The family was a cut out I did with the silhouette one night using the red cardstock from last month's kit I put together.
The sweet moment 3X4 card is from a pack of me &my big ideas pack I had gotten 3 different packs of these cards in a swap box so when I cleaned out the box I put these in with my kit. The journaling sticker came from a sticker sheet in my current kit. I also added stickers from the one alpha pack I used on the layout. I journaled what she had wrote on facebook of the pictures
This is a picture that Amber took at the hospital of what they have on the wall in the pediatric section so I included that picture as well on the layout. More stickers from the alpha sheet and I made an embellishment with vellum and a piece of patter paper I found in one of my catchall boxes. The circle with the script writing was one I had cut out earlier this month (yep lets get those scraps used up :) So Miss Emily Ann's book is started :) See you back here tomorrow with another project....
Thanks for stopping by today to see what's happening in my little corner of the world and I hoe you all join us over at Lasting Memories and show us your Life moments.

Christmas Morning LO for Creative Cutting Challenge
Hi and welcome back to the 1st Creative Cutting Challenge for the New Year. The theme of this challenge is Anything Goes and with getting a huge order of Christmas photos developed I did a 2 page layout of Christmas Morning.
Titled Christmas Morning but I also used the Holiday Headings Set from Creative Pointe

for the Subtitle to the layout and some accent pieces too. Isn't this just a fun set and they come all in one package of files covers just about all your needs for the Christmas Holiday and you will see more of these files in some up coming Dec Daily pages. You can see an example of the cut file here:
I dressed up the letters with SU Dazzling Details, boy is that chunky (thought it would be like stickles, but it was way more chunky than that)
So this is the Right side of the 2 page layout with my title block and the Creative Pointe file and some of the extra presents cut and scattered about. I used Sketch N Scrap #72 for my layout and I followed one of their designers examples for the other page.

The Left side of the page has a variety of pictures from the morning. A journaling spot in the center that I have to add the journaling to yet.
The papers and elements came from the kit I pulled together last month for Counterfeit Kit challenge. Stampin Up paper, also bits and pieces from the SU Hello December PL card Collection, the seasonal snapshot PL Accessory Pack (the washi tape came from this pack too)
The joy and the stars came from Prisma Birthday stickers collection
We start off the day with going through our stocking, having some cookies before we venture out to the living room to open our gifts. Buddy even got a gift from Santa this year (friends of ours sent us this huge box of dog biscuits and toys for Buddy :)
Off you go and give a try to the challenge we hope you all play along with us:
Rules are simple the project must be new works and Each project must contain at least one SVG (SCUT, MTC or similar) file die cut and that file must be clearly apparent or you must state what piece of the project is the SVG (or similar electronic) file. A file name or creator link would be helpful to those viewing your project. NOTE: A project using only a Cricut Cartridge file is not eligible. SUBMISSIONS WITHOUT ANY MENTION OF AN ELECTRONIC CUTTING FILE WILL BE DELETED. Blog owner reserves the right to delete any submission deemed ineligible without notice to entrant.

Moments
Hi you all and welcome to our second January challenge over at Lasting Memories, is
all about captured moments. I have found, through going back and looking over my photos that some of the best moments captured is when your not aware the picture is being taken. Then, there are my favorite moments captured intentionally or not the moments usually involved the grandkids. Here are 3 of my favorite moments:
Dave holding Avery (Albert's oldest son now 11 years old) for the first time, gathering of the kids and grandkids for the 1st Easter Egg Hunt we had, Dave had to explain the rules :) it was a funny moment. One of my favorite moments with Zachary he started doing the clapping as with the chicken dance, brought a big oh smile to my face. I'm really enjoying this month at Lasting Memories with their fun theme and challenges. We hope you will play along with us :)
This layout was made using the sketch over at Sketch N Scrap twistback thursday ( a fun new challenge for their blog) here is the sketch:

their TWIST: Out with the old and in with the new in 2015: use something old that is a year or more old on your layout as well as something that is new. Make sure and tell us what you used that was old and what was new! Old: the lace, the circle brad, the pink doily, the metal button. New: the paper is Simple Stories Homespun which I purchased with my Christmas giftcard this year when I went to Michaels on Jan 2.
I cut up 2 3X4 cards to get the pennant action here in the corner. Picture of Dave and Avery 11 years ago.
Moments was cut out with my cameo it was a file I purchased for the store. (this past week was Silhouette week for cutting for this and some other upcoming projects) Most of the embellishments came from my current counterfeit kit and so glad to use up that other half of pink doily and got it out of my stash :)
The lace border was a fun addition and was not the original plan for the layout but the other border was way to wide, but I do love the lace and texture of it on the layout. The journaling block was a cut out piece for a tag that was in my journal tag pad. Cherished moments through the years from the time we met Avery to now. Scrapped 2015

Happy Thanksgiving Card for the CCC
Hi you all, hope you had a fantastic weekend. Today for the Creative Cutting Challenge the theme is Thanksgiving. I decided to get a start on my cardmaking for the holidays ahead.
I used the Thanksgiving Set 1:

For my card, I cut the silhouette of the pilgrims and the title from my cameo.I love how beautifully the files cut even when I size the files down. This set would also be fun for a thanksgiving layout or even some place-cards for guests at the Thanksgiving dinner. I added Happy from the Alphas from the Simple Stories Harvest Lane sticker sheet. The flowers were punched with Stampin Up Petite Petals Punch and added some gold pearls for the centers. The papers for the card all came from last month's Counterfeit Kit.
I brought in more of the punched petals for a border on the inside of the card and used sequins fr the centers so the card would close better. Now the inside is ready for a note to the recipient of the card. Have you started your Holiday card making yet? Christmas is right around the corner, not even close to being ready for that one, but getting a bit closer to being ready for Thanksgiving....
Off you go and give a try to the challenge we hope you all play along with us:
