3 Things I Love About Scrapbooking

Good Morning, May has been a whirl of all kinds of scrappy goodness!  Welcome to the 2nd challenge over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Kate is the host this month and she has this to say:

this month's Counterfeit Kit Challenge # 2 is going to be ALL ABOUT YOU!

We want you to use your kit and scrapbook a photo of YOU and tell the reason(s) WHY you create your memories!

I took on this challenge by combinging it with my LOAD layout of the day too

Using my Butterfly Zone kit and 3 photos of my scrapbook room, including a selfie in my room to tell 3 things I love about scrapbooking.

Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

CKC - May 2022 Kit Reveal - Butterfly Zone

Hey it's May! May is one of my favorite month's as it's our Anniversary month, it has (I)National Scrapbooking Day, a month full of LOAD, Sketch N Scrap having their 10th Birthday and it's the 1st of May so that means it's a new counterfeit kit too. So many reasons to be scrapping this month and I need a great kit to make it happen. So let's check out the inspiration for the month. First you should have arrived here from our Guest Designer's spot Dawn  https://www.instagram.com/dawn.cervo/ I'm excited to see what she has put together this month. Kate is our host this month and she chose the kit is called "Sweet Life" from Scrapbook Doodle and their kit mainly focused on Bo Bunny's Sweet Life Collection:

Kate says: I came across this kit quite by accident, I was looking at the various kit sites we have linked in our blog area and this kit caught my eye because ya'll know I love butterflies!

A sunny collection full of bright buttercup yellow, pinks and a striking navy blue. I feel like navy blue needs a major comeback; it's so versatile and a great neutral, she said and I have to agree I feel Navy needs to make a major comeback and great to see it in so many of the newer kits.

This is the kit I pulled together

Butterfly Zone

I was drawn the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Indigo Garden in my stash for the Navy, yellow and pink in the inspiration kit had the colors and the butterflies, adding Pinkfresh The Best Day and some Cocoa Vanilla These Days. Then I added some old stash: K&Company, Foof-a-La, My Mind's Eye, Cloud 9 Design, Amy Tangerine, Authentique and Pink Paislee, plus some odd ball ones that had no info. The papers:

The close ups of the embellishments
Brought in the 8x8 paper pad, planning to bash this one before the end of the month
The embellishments for Simple Vintage Indigo Garden
Embellishments for Pinkfresh Studios The Best Day, brought in the navy with the alphas, white ribbon and the only polka dot one I have and that's in purple, Prima flowers and a variety of enamel dots. My mists, inks and any other mixed media supplies I'll pull in as needed.
Thanks for stopping by today. First I need to see what the other girls have pulled together and a good place to start is over at Tracey's blog  I'm excited to see how the inspiration moved her for her kit :) and if you get lost here is the full list
