Christmas 2011 LO for Sketch n Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) Wow it's the middle of January already! Hows the goals going? I had a detour over the weekend with a cold, but this week I should be able to get right back on track.
Welcome to Sketch N Scrap's 2nd layout challenge for January,  Heather provided this fun sketch for us to use:
 No photo description available.
This is what I did with it :)
I came across some Christmas photos from 2011 so thought yep should get these scrapped :) This was from Christmas Morning of the boys :) Buddy getting noisy and Jake being patient. I changed it up a bit and added my journaling in the center. I used part of my current counterfeit kit: Christmas Joy and Muttcracker for the layout. Close ups below:
Buddy getting center of attention with Dad :) Then there is Buddy being noisy into his and Jake's gift
 More noisiness :)
 Jake waiting patiently

Pure Magic LO for Counterfeit Kit Challenge #1

Good Morning and welcome :) The 1st challenge for Counterfeit Kit Challenge is upon us for the month and Lisa has challenged us for the 1st challenge of the month with:
It's the New Year and a time to think about the classic saying
"out with the old and in with the new"!

Your challenge today is to check through your kits to identify the NEWEST and OLDEST items in there, and then use both of them on your project. Don't forget to let us know just how old these products are!

Let's see who's got the longest time difference!

Good Morning and welcome :) The 1st challenge for Counterfeit Kit Challenge is upon us for the month and Lisa has challenged us for the 1st challenge of the month with:
1st thing was too look through the paper to see what was the oldest, I already new what was the newest. I found some Basic Grey from 2010, The red glitter paper was from 2007 (when I started scrappin :) and the other paper is a Karen Foster Design paper with no date. Now the New stuff is the shiny gold enamel dots I got for Christmas. This was the starting basis of the layout:

The finished layout:
Used some of the other bits and pieces in my kit too :) The pictures are of myself and my grandson Zachary when he was just a year and half :) Christmas 2011. Glad to have this memory captured.
 My journaling
 Lower cluster
The middle cluster including a tag I made from that glitter paper :)
My title work with added strip of washi from my stash.
Thanks for stopping by today to see what I'm creating in my little corner of the world :) I've come to find that I don't scrap many Christmas photos, but have lots of the in envelopes so thinking I better get to scrappin those photos I found, these are from 2011 and I don't think I was even considering doing a December Daily till 2012 so makes for some easy scrapping this month to get them done :)
Can't wait to see what you create for this fun challenge over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog, yes dive into that kit and look to see what the oldest is, it will surprise you :)

The Double Page sketch:
this is the layout I created with this fun sketch:
Nice to be scrapping some holiday photos from past years :) these are from 2017.  Pictures with Brad's family December 26th.
This is the left side of the layout using my current counterfeit kit: Christmas Joy. Just about spot on with that side of the sketch,
Close up of the picture of use with the grandboys and used a fun vellum piece on my layout with the tag and brad.
The right side of the layout has more pictures from the evening, more of Tristan that of Zachary thinking with all the action going on I must have been getting lots of blurry photos that night.
Close up of some journaling strips that I cut from a scrapbook paper from my November counterfeit kit: Everyday Insight and the diecuts and puffy stickers from my current kit :) It was a fun layout to create :)
Thank you for stopping by today to see what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I look forward to seeing what you create with this fun sketch over at Stick It Down challenge blog

CKC - January Kit Reveal - Christmas Joy

Happy New Year! Happy 2020! What an awesome way to start off the new year is with a fun counterfeit kit! and this one that Lisa picked out for us to play with was pure joy for me as I plan to scrap my Dec Daily this month and this kit is perfect for that. You should have arrived to my blog from one of our newest master forgers Tracey
Because we don't do a December kit, Lisa thought it might be nice to feature a kit that could be good to shift out of the real Christmas colors into winter shades if you wanted to but for those of us who are ready to scrap Christmas photos that we took just a few weeks earlier, then a Christmas kit could be useful. A good all rounder!

Therefore, here is the Counterfeit Kit Challenge January inspiration kit courtesy of Citrus Twist Christmas Stories 2019 kit (with bundled album)

And you can find an unboxing video here if you need more detail!

This month, we are delighted to welcome Melodee as our Guest Designer! She's amazing at creating so make sure to check out her kit too

and this is my kit Christmas Joy:

I had a blast putting this kit together and I'm known for big kits this one is no different but I got lots to scrap this month with so many Christmas celebrations with the grandkids and my Dec Daily too. This one will be around a bit too as this quarter my goal is to get all my Dec Dailies finished up (check back tomorrow for my 2020 goals post)
So I followed the unboxing video for my papers so I have both the A and B sides of the papers in my kit
So many fun colors and patterns in this fun kit to counterfeit: Red-Teal-Green-Blue-White-Lt Blue-Woodgrain-Plaids-Christmas motifs
My choice of Alphas and the black sticker pad will give me the words that are featured in the kit that I don't have.
I have this add on: Some scraps, Glitter 4X6 paper pad and this SU Frost 4X6 paper pad and there is also under that a partial paper pad that I'm thinking is Stampin Up too. This is another goal for this year to add either Stampin Up paper or Close To My Heart paper in my kits so I can start using those papers up ad getting them out of my stash. I will also be using the Scrappy Advent Calendar that I received in December with my Dec Daily which will work with in this kit too

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you join in with us for some fun this month with this fantastic inspirational kit over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog, now off with you go and see what fun kit Laura came up with over on her Instagram page

it's time to get hopping. Here's the full list for you:
