Let's Go Anywhere LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good morning and welcome to my blog. We been seeing lots of rain this Spring weather here in PA. It would be great to see the sun out a bit. Today is another throw back sketch over at Sketch and Scrap blog. I chose to do sketch #282 from October 2023 for my layout inspiration.

The layout I created with it using my current counterfeit kit Gotta Get Away
I changed it up a bit by adding 2 more photos and I flipped the sketch. Packing the day before leaving and packing up the car the day I left for Kris's house to then how out for the cruise.
Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.

Favorite Good Times LO for a Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Good morning and welcome to my blog. Today is the 3rd challenge over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge which is a sketch challenge and we got a good one from Master Forger Brandi Jo.

An interesting sketch had me thinking of something fun with the stars and the splatters so decided to scrap some ice cream photos from the trip:
Using my current kit used that paper with the polka dots and a 49&Market paper for to do the splattering like the sketch had in it. Used film strip pieces for the base of my clusters lots of stars and some wood veneer too. Brought the gears in because this Ben and Jerry's had a penny press which I added the penny to the layout. This took just about little over an hour to do :) Love quick layouts.

Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

Documented LO for a Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Good morning and welcome to the blog. It's the 2nd challenge of the month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Master Forger Jody is in charge this month and this is her challenge:

"This month's Inspiration kit was full of contrast. I want you to create your own black and yellow background paper to use on a project.   I hope I see some mixed media!!!"

This is such a fun challenge and had me reaching for my stencil. I made sure to add a yellow paper to my kit for this challenge and I used Black Soot distress ink for my stenciling for the challenge

From this stenciled background I created this layout:
The 3rd covered bridge I saw that Saturday of checking out some of the bridges in my area. This one is still in use and the oldest Columbia County. With all the pictures I have shame that I covered up most on that stenciling but still have a good bit showing.

Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

First Day of School LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome to the 2nd sketch challenge over at Sketch N Scrap challenge blog. We have this fun sketch from Stacy for our inspiration:

I'm finally getting to scrap some of my backlog of prints I did last year :) These 3 pictures are of Emily's 1st Day of Kindergarten, wow I can't believe she's that old already to be heading to Kindergarten :)

She's so cute! I used my current counterfeit kit Spread Your Wings and Soar (which is perfect for these pictures for my pattern paper selection and grabbed some school themed embellishments too :) I used a confetti letters stamp for Stampin Up for my bottom stamped border, certainly a fun technique to add to the layout.

Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world.
I look forward to seeing what you create from this fun sketch over at Sketch N Scrap.

Autumn Splendor for the Use Your Stuff challenge

Good Morning :) Today over at Use Your Stuff our DT sister  Karrie is challenging us to use up our stuff!!  Yeah that's what we' re always all about here, so this time dig into your patterned papers because we want to see you use 5 or more on your project!
Here is the layout I created using 5 pattern papers:
This layout came about from LOAD1017 Day11: I've got a secret...... …place – somewhere you’ve always loved to be.
My home is always my favorite place to be the good the bad and the ugly at times, but always my favorite :) through past LOADs I have scrap many stories about my home and each year just a walkabout on the property gives me the reasons why my home is my fav place to be :) Some of the sunflowers that grew this year within the small pumpkin patch we had. Sketch over at Scrapbook Generations the free sketch during their crop this past weekend. The title chipboard has been in my stash a long time so glad I finally found a place to use it :)
I used 5 different pattern papers that came from my old 100 Pattern Paper pile (in the process of putting a new one together to use this upcoming year :) as a challenge in October for our 100 Pattern Paper facebook group.
Some close ups of the layout. My journaling
5 pattern papers: the background paper, the photo mat paper and seperate framed paper too, the border stripe paper is the oldest paper on this layout coming from 2008 and the orange stripe paper was a branding strip :) Using washi tape for the other border, stickers from a fall collection I have, strips of dazzles stickers and enamel dots to finish it off :)
That is a chipboard piece that I've been trying to use and finally found a place to use it :)
A close up of one of the sunflowers and that fits Scrappy Sisters Scrap September challenge Day 18: Close-up.
Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog.

Bird Feeder Merry Go Round for Lasting Memories layout challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) This is the 3rd week's challenge this month over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook challenge blog.

Scrapbook Cooking Time - Recipe #3

LM #370 - create a layout using the following - 1 large photo, 3 patterned papers, a pinch of wood veneer, a dash of chipboard pieces, and sprinkle with enamel dots.
Here is what I created:
This is a photo of a surprise I received from my husband and the 1st thing I thought was WOW that is a Bird Feeder Merry Go Round hence the title :) It's the beginning and a work in progress with plans to add flowers around it in the spring. So thinking that October Afternoon Midway collection be a great way to show off this large picture.
 My journaling block
 Title work
Close up of the picture of the feeders. Were hoping this is a good way to keep the squirrels out of the feeders.
My bottom corner cluster. Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world :) I look forward to seeing your creation to this fun challenge over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook challenge blog.

New Life Changes layout

From LOAD1017 Day 29: …diary – if you’re a planner girl, this will be a cinch! Document your signature daily routine. It may be just one element – do you weigh yourself first thing in the morning, or always start with a double shot caramel macchiato?
I went with a photo that I had taken of my locker at work. My journaling talks about some of the changes I made to work my shift. While most people get up at 6 AM to have thier coffee I get up at 6PM to start my day with a cup of coffee. A little bit about my day. Changes in my life to accommodate my new job. 1 year Anniversary this month :)

A nice easy layout using Simple Stories Daily Grind collection (just about got this one done!) and a sketch over at Sketches in Thyme sketch #297
 Oct 15 -21 Sketch #297
 A very interesting sketch.
Some of my journaling and a cluster
Some more journaling with this cluster
 Bottom cluster
Title and another cluster :)

Fall is in the Air

Happy Halloween!

Hello :) I have a few layouts to blog for some challenges today. This layout was inspired by LOAD1017 Day 30 …password – the subject is technology. The ultimate love/hate relationship is what most of us have with our devices. Find a clever way to document that, perhaps in a Dear Smartphone letter!
This is the layout I did for this prompt:
What I love about my smartphone is that I have it with me all the time so then there are times like this on the spur of the moment I can take a photograph. What I don't care about my camera is that all the photos don't come out this great, instagram usually helps with the focus better than the actually camera does :) I got a cheap phone to see if I would like a smartphone and found out I do so I'll be looking at the Christmas sales for a new phone for me with a better camera :)
I used sketch #298 over at Sketches in Thyme for my layout inspiration:
Fantastic sketch and quick to do too
My journaling and a close up of the photos
 One of the clusters
My corner embellishment. Since I was talking about the camera on my phone thought this orange camera icon on my craft desk was fitting for the layout :)
Be back soon with another layout.

Let's Go! layout

This is a layout inspired by LOAD1017 Day 19
…escape document your bucket list
I didn't document my Bucket List but did document a place I've been wanting to go see since I seen an article about it in the newspaper.
I used the Oct 15 sketch over at Let's Get Sketchy for my layout:
This was a fun way to do this layout. I used number paper for the bucket list element and a collage of photos of then and now for the photos on the sketch. Brought the diagonal element down in the bottom corner for my title so it wasn't getting lost in that background paper.
 My journaling
 the photo collage
The title work.
Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I'm up too in my little corner of the world....

Chowder Head layout

Good Afternoon :) This layout was inspired by LOAD 1017 Day 9: …nickname – hopefully you had an immediate thought for this one.
Yes I did it's a nickname my hubby gave to our Buddy, our furry friend.
This is our Chowder Head aka Buddy. When I seen the prompt about nickname I knew I had to do this layout about Buddy. I used a recent photo of him:
I used the Oct 1st sketch over at Let's Get Sketchy:
Love the layers that was matting the photo for this layout :) The border strips was like a frame for the layout. I also used 2 other challenges for this layout for the Scrappy Sisters Scrap September day 4: 3 colors: blue, off green and white. For Scrappin N Chattin yahoo group this is for the Navy Day challenge using Navy the most in the layout (a variety of blues indeed)
 Close up of the journaling
 The title and bottom cluster
and some of the other cluster work on the layout.

Love Being A Girl layout

Hello :) This is another LOAD1017 inspired prompt layout. This layout came from Day 18: I've got a secret..... …about girls. What do you love about being a girl?
This was a really tough prompt for me so many ways to go with it! it was hard to narrow down my choice. I found these odd photos that I printed out for some past LOAD and went from there. Our local paper does women in our local history every month and I just love to read the articles and I think that is where my story evolved around what it is to be a girl now and just wrote a small portion of my feelings (this could have been pages and pages of journaling :)
I used the Oct 15 Sketch over at Stuck?! for this layout
This was a fantastic sketch to add all those fun stickers to. Love the touch of the tag again for this layout and added word strips to that area too.
Close up of the journaling I added to the bottom of the layout.
Thanks for stopping by again to my little corner of the world.......

Brother N Sister layout

This is a LOAD1017 inspired layout for the prompt it is from Day 3: I've got a secret....... Day 3 :
…about boys – document an important male relationship in your life
I documented this layout about my brother Steve:
I used the sketch over at Stuck?! the Oct 1st sketch for inspiration for the layout:
Sweet sketch for this fun prompt and found a few pictures of us together throughout the years.
My brother Steve was my focus for this prompt :) I have 2 brothers and they are both older than me, but Steve and I had a closer relationship since we were closer in age we grew up together. Chose 3 photos of us through the years and a bonus to have one with Mom :) One from our early years, one from our 20s and one from just recently within the last 5 years.
Close up of the journaling.
Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world .....

Explore the Past layout for Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge

Good Morning and welcome to a new month of challenges over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge. I am the hostess for this month's challenge and the theme is Scrapbook Cooking Time: Having fun creating with some scrapbook recipes. This week's recipe is:
The recipe: 3 patterned papers, background stamping, a punched shape, puffy stickers and your handwriting.
This is the layout I created:
It was interesting to come across this picture of the Russell Inn from a Book at the library. The sing post is what is there now on the spot that the Inn was at.
The layout came about from LOAD 1017 Day 27: I’ve got a secret…
…passion – the thing that really drives you. Find an exuberantly artistic way to communicate the feeling.
My recipe: 3 pattern papers, stamping: part of the title and the little notebook page, stars are the punched shape, Hiedi Swapp puffy stickers and my own handwriting :) a fun recipe for the layout
Some close up photos of the layout:

The photo I found of the Inn
 My title work
 Current pictures of the area

My journaling :) This is from my Historical Walking Tour series of layouts.
