Hello and welcome :) I'm adding my layout for this DT challenge a bit late today :) Chris C. has our challenge this week over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog. she has challenged us to use circles, For this week's challenge, I would like to see some circles (at least one) on your project.
I did a layout for LOAD217 that fits this challenge well cause it has embellishments that are circles with in the rubons and a fussy cut die cut:
The candy rubons, the fussy cut mallo cup (memories of my childhood with that one :), in the journaling card and the cookies in the picture are circles :) This layout was created for LOAD217 Day 13:
DAY 13: Achilles
What is your weakness? Chocolate? Shoes? Time with a good book? New scrappy supplies?
I have so many of these weaknesses but Sweets has to be my strongest weakness!
A couple of pictures from December 2016, a day we were making cookies, actually Dave was making the cookies and I was helping when I got up from my nap that Saturday :) Plans to bake cookies were on my agenda, just not these but I was glad to help and I was glad that Dave wanted to make cookies this year.
fussy cut part of a project life card for the tab above the photo. Lots of the papers came from the collection Simple Stories So Fancy that was in my counterfeit kit that month: A Few of My Favorite Things which is so fitting for this layout :) Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation linked up to Use Your Stuff challenge blog.

5 Different Pattern Papers for LM Challenge
Good morning and welcome :) today I have a layout for the challenge that our DT sister Sandy challenged us to do this week over at Lasting memories.
This layout was created during LOAD217 this was DAY 18: The 9 Muses
How do you bring culture into your life?
We like to take day road trips and most are usually to go see some kind of history, something we both take pleasure seeing. This layout is created for a day trip album to Ithaca, NY to see the Museum of the Earth, fascinating museum and all the dinosaur skeletons (layouts to do yet) We take trips to Antique Tractor Shows for history in live view and to museums to see what once was.
I used a layout from the Perfect Collection Class for my base for the layout :) This class is a class that I took from Shimelle and I had learned about the class from Tina Gale from My Scrappy Ideas. I'll post about the collection next week. Thinking to use the rest of the paper for the photos for this trip to have it all tie together :) This is one of my goals this year is to work on purchased classes.
I did use a paper from my counterfeit kit in February : A Few of My Favorite Things. this paper I used for my journaling
Used some fun washi tape as the exhibit was still under construction. The Right Whale is fascination to see at the museum and such a cool story on there site as to how they came about getting the skeleton.
Also found some fun chipboard stickers in my stash that worked out perfect for this layout. Who say's that it had to be used for a beach layout :)
I used a few fun stickers that was in my kit that month too. I'm looking forward to working with this collection a bit more for the day trip and get that finished up here real soon. I also found out that the Perfect Collection class is a fast fun way to have your base papers ready for your layouts and makes creating a layout ridiculously fast :) I look forward to seeing your creation over at Lasting Memories. Have a Great Day!
LM #337 - Use 5 Different Pattern Papers
with and optional challenge to create a birthday layout.
When I think of using 5 different papers I think of layering and this layout certainly has layers:This layout was created during LOAD217 this was DAY 18: The 9 Muses

80s Girl Today for Lasting Memories Challenge
Good Morning and welcome :) Happy Spring Ahead the Clock today! Did you turn your clocks ahead? That is the only way I can remember that I need to turn them ahead in the spring. I'm ready for longer days with the sun setting later. Finally get over that cold that I had this past week, so there has been no crafting for me, but I pulled one of the layout I did for LOAD217 for this week's challenge over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenges.
Are you ready for a fun new challenge? This week our DT Sandy is challenging us to include lots of numbers on our layouts!
LM #335 - Include lots of numbers of your layout - with and optional challenge to create a birthday layout.
Oh yes I'm one of those girls!
LOAD217 DAY 25: Apollo
What’s on your playlist? What’s your favorite song?
This layout was fun once I decided what I wanted to do with it. The CD collections I had gotten for Christmas from Tammy and she picked out some fun discs. I had posted the 80's picture on instagram and facebook that day. Some old Jams on this rainy day.
This was my playlist for today (February 25). I like lots of music but my favorite has to be the 80s sound :) I posted the 80s picture on instagram and facebook today after I turned on the music. My nephew Matt asked my favorite 80s band? I said a tie between Hall & Oates and Van Halen. 1984 was a great album. Thought this was fitting for the journaling today for the layout so added that to it :) I used the Rockstar colection from DCWV and a few pieces from my current counterfeit kit :) came together fairly quickly
I have numbers in my journaling, in my title and in the pictures
My title work came from 2 alphas and a diecut chipboard piece from Simple Stories So Fancy collection as did the other diecut pieces grouped on the layout.
Closeup photos of the layout

I used last month's counterfeit kit: A Few of My Favorite Things for the chipboard pieces and the journaling card that I used in a variety of places just by cutting it up for each spot :) Another way to use these project life cards! if you have lost of them. Pet Peeves for Lasting Memories Challenge
Hello :) I hope you all are fantastic, myself I have been nursing a chest/head cold since the weekend, so much I have been unplugged from the computer most of this week. This post has been in draft mode since right before I got sick. Time to share this fun challenge over at Lasting Memories. This month's challenges are from our DT sister Sandy Ross and this month is her Birthday month so the challenges have alot to do with birthday theme, but we realize that not everyone may have a lot of birthday photos
to scrap, so your layout can be any theme, as long as you use a banner.
LM #334 - Include A Banner
This layout came from LOAD217 DAY 27: Ares
What get's you riled up? What are your pet peeves or slight annoyances? What do you do about them?
What get's you riled up? What are your pet peeves or slight annoyances? What do you do about them?
Pet Peeves not an easy layout to do and for some reason I was drawn to my pet peeves about my husband, clarified in the layout that I love him dearly :) You know when your with someone a long time they tend to get under your skin at times :) and this is a 2-way street cause I know that he probably has pet peeves of me too.
I journaled in 2 spots on this layout.
The actual pet peeves
The banner I created with cardstock.I used a piece of paper from my 100 pattern paper challenge, the yellow paper is from last month's counterfeit kit: A Few of My Favorite Things, and the green vegetable paper is from my scrap basket. The alphas came from my CKC and the labels from my stash. A quick easy layout for me.

Presents
Good Morning and welcome to today's double page sketch over at Stick It Down. Ali made our double page sketch this month and she's also created a cut file!
If you're interested in the cut file, you can get that HERE.
This is the layout I created with it:
I used last month's counterfeit kit for part of this layout. The journaling spot, the title lettering, finished off the puffy stickers and used the purple/pink enamel heart stickers. The background papers I got from my stah and I grabbed some birthday die cuts too. Guess I did to make up some more as they are handy to have on hand when I need them :)
Close up of the left hand side of the double. This holds the photo collage a fun way to use up a few photos too
Close up of the collage
Close up of the right hand side of the layout. I positioned the pictures like in the sketch just not the same style pictures and I added that journaling spot too.
the journaling
One of the cute picture with the die cut. Quinn was more interested in opening the gifts and Reyn was more interested in seeing what they got.
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing what you create with this fun sketch over at Stick It Down.

Cake Time for a Sketch N Scrap Challenge
Good Morning and welcome :) Today I have another layout from Quinn & Reyn 1st Birthday Party. These are pictures from them eating their cake. Today's Sketch over at Sketch N Scrap was perfect to showcase theses pictures. The sketch for today is:
and I used it for this Double page layout of the girls eatting their cake:
OMgosh they were just 2 darn cute (I may be a bit bias :) I took the photos and from the outside to the inside is the time lapse of them, from beginning to the cute large facial one.
I used my counterfeit kit: A Few of My Favorite Things and I used up a piece of ribbon from my stash too :)
Here are some close ups of the layout:
I had a blast creating this layout and I look forward to seeing your creation with this sketch :) over at Sketch N Scrap Challenge blog. This one is a keeper for me I can see me using this one quite often with event photos when you have lots of them! Have a great day today!

Hello :) Here is what I created for LOAD217 DAY 23: Artemis What is something you do better than others? What competition would you win or lose? How do you do You?
I'm not sure I would call it a competition, but Dave and I have different ways that we cook and this was a fun prompt to tell about our cooking differences:
I used alot of papers on this layout, papers from my kitchen theme stash and also from my current counterfeit kit: A Few of My Favorite Things. there is also a ribbon from the ribbon challenge over at 100 pattern paper challenge facebook group.
I found a new challenge site recently Colorful Creations and their mid month challenge was to get inspired by words: I used layers and I have lots of layers on this layout.
Journaling
One of my favorite recipes
A picture of Dave doing what he does best :) We get some great meals because of Dave's great cooking skills. It may be a fun competition, but in the end we both win :)

Hello once again today :) So glad your still visiting me today :) This layout came from LOAD217 DAY 17: Theseus Tell a story of your right to vote and what that means to you. OR… Share the results of a notable election and your thoughts. I went with what it means to me:
I used this sketch over at The Memory Nest for my inspiration:
I took some inspiration from their DT member Doreen to on my layout as I added more photos and information that I wanted on the layout but I added the main circles to my layout and the title spot in the same area too.
I used my current counterfeit kit: A Few of My favorite Things plus I used some stickers from the 30-Sticker challenge over at the 100 Pattern Paper Challenge facebook group. This was a fun way to look at our history of Women Voters.

Why Scrapbooking
If you are looking for today's Use Your Stuff post you can find it here.
Hello again :)
This layout is from LOAD217 DAY 7: Athena Capture your inner Athena! How are you a goddess of scrapbooking? Why do you do it? What do you love about it? What have you accomplished?
I've covered this topic more than once but over at Bash Your Stash facebook group they had a challenge Why scrapbooking so this is where this ? lead me. Athena was the goddess of War, Agriculture and Craft. So I decided to focus on the why ? when I'm asked why?
This is what I did before I started scrapbooking. I use to love to quilt but it would take so long to get a quilt done, in comes scrapbooking and I can do a layout in a few hours and get that same satisfaction that I did from quilting and a new hobby is born :) I used my current counterfeit kit A Few of My Favorite Things for the layout
I used the sketch over at The Memory Nest for my layout inspiration:
I shifted the title to above the layout and used that spot for my journaling:
Thank you for stopping by once again today :)

Genuine & Quirky LO for Use Your Stuff Challenge
Good Morning to you :) been busy this month with LOAD and that seems to make the blog just a bit quiet :) Next month is Calvinball and that will cause the same as it seems when I get creative I don't have the time to blog about it too :) Something I'll have to work on I guess there has to be a happy medium between the 2.
This week's challenge over at Use Your Stuff is to use a sketch to influence your project, you are to pick your own sketch. I went over to Let's Get Sketchy for my inspiration and this layout is also inspired from LOAD217 Day 22: Selene is the goddess of the day. the prompt is What is you personality? Are you shy or outgoing? What helps you shine? I went with my personality and as this is a Greek Mythology LOAD also my astronomy sign.
I had a blast creating this layout and loved that doily that was in that sketch from Let's Get Sketchy :
I shifted over the title area so I could add a spot for the journaling for the prompt. The doily is one I got in a flea market find of doilies got a whole bag full for just a buck!
I used one of my favorite pattern papers for the layout been hoarding these paper (still got one left :) thought this would be a good place to use it :) Use some pink from the photo too on the layout. I used 2 of the project life cards, the heart enamels, & chipboard pieces from my counterfeit kit: A Few of My Favorite Things. The dimensional stickers I had in my basket of stickers that I pulled for a challenge last month for the 100 pattern paper challenge facebook group.
A fun way to create the title with the 2 different fonts
close up on the dimensional sticker and the enamel hearts and the sparkly stickers
The other spot that I added the same embellishments and the chipboard arrow too. Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see your creation linked up at Use Your Stuff challenge blog.

1st Birthday Party for Lasting Memories Challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) Today is a New Theme month over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge Blog and Sandy is our hostess this month and she's got some great challenges too. So the theme of the month is 'Birthday Theme' and this week's challenge is to Create a Birthday layout using this sketch by the talented Laura Whitaker:
This is what I create with the sketch
We just celebrated Quinn & Reyn 1st Birthday so this month is a perfect month to work on the layouts from the party :) I started with an overall layout of the 2 together :) It was tough to get a picture of them together with out it being blurry or one looking away, but I got a good one of them unwrapping one of their gifts together. Quinn is in the pink and Reyn is in the blue (Maternal Twins)
The journaling I added to the bottom of the layout in the corner. My current counterfeit kit A Few of My Favorite Things had the SS So Fancy collection that was perfect for this layout using alot of the stickers and cutaparts to embellish the layout.
They are super cute (I may be a bit bias :) Quinn on the left and Reyn on the right
The sketch had those fun circles where I added some doilies from my stash
Fun birthday stickers
I had a blast putting the layout together and I hope to see your creation to from this sketch over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge Blog. Thanks for stopping by today to see what I'm doing in my little corner of the world.
