Let us use each new year to make the most of every day. Welcome to my blog and
to a new year! 2024 starts us off with a New Year of Counterfeit Kit Challenge kits to challenge us to look through our own stash and choose a kit to play with. 1st you should have arrived here from Christine's youtube channel I'm looking forward to checking out her kit and see what inspired her. We are thrilled to have Kristen join us as Guest Forger. Kristen is known as Scrapping On The Fly on both Instagram and YouTube. Make sure you leave her some love!!!
Tara is our host and she says: For this month's inspiration kit, Master Forger Cindy chose the December 2023 Hip Kit Club kit. So, let's take a look at the main kit:
This
photo only gives you a little sneak peek of what is inside this kit so I
have pulled the photo of the patterned paper because I LOVE PATTERNED
PAPER! The papers in this kit are beautiful! Loving that snowflake
wreath!! Lots of sweater prints too!!!
The
inspiration had me thinking of Pinkfresh Studio as soon as I saw it. So
that is where I started to pull my kit from. Here is my kit for
January:
Frosty or Not
First I noticed the colors: Red, Pink, Yellow, Blue, Lt Blue and Navy. I noticed winter icons, snowflakes, houses, sweater weave, circles, polka dots like snow, stars, plaid, wood, leaves and flowers. So I drew from that list and went searching in my Pinkfresh Studio supplies. So as I'm pulling my kit together and in the process putting some things away, love that even though it wasn't planned it worked out well :)
The papers I chose, top row, went through my winter papers 1st (so glad I organized these when I was organizing my Christmas supplies :) Found a few that worked with the color theme and icons too. The bottom row is all Pinkfresh Studio but 2 of them. Grabbed a few scraps and some 6x6 papers too.
Close up #1: has some old stickers I came across that speak winter to me and some diecuts for a layout or 2, we've haven't had much snow yet but I got some older snowy pictures to scrap.
Close up #2: The puffy stickers and a chipboard sticker pack too, I liked those puffy stickers so much I included 2 of the same one :) noticed that when I was putting them in my container after the picture :)
Close up #3: I found a stamp set that has a snowflake :) brought in some of my December embellishment kit from Some Assemblage Required as the snowflakes, tickets and that title piece is perfect for the kit, how about that cool brick stencil that MK designed of the box pretty darn cool. Some arrows that matched well in the color scheme too.
Close up #4 is a gift I received in 2022 for Christmas from a scrappy friend when we did an 12 day advent calendar. Never open sadly it was packed up in one of my moving boxes, now is the time to play with it :) That's my kit :) I also will pull inks, mists and any other mixed media supplies ans need as well as cardstock. Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. Off you go to Misty's blog if you get lost along the way the blog list is below.
