Funday Friday Hello From Miss Lily

I can't believe I had left this in draft mode, so sorry for the delay :)
Hello from Miss Lily on a Bike card for today's Funday Friday challenge over at Jo's Scrap Shack. Today's challenge is a card, layout or project that is both Embossed and Distressed and our sponsor for this challenge is Little Blue Buttons Stamps:
I made a card with LBBS digi stamp Miss Lily on a Bike:
I used the sketch at Stick it Down for my card

I did dry embossing by using an embossing folder I received with my cuttlebug for the background mat and I used distress in the edge of the sentiment/digi stamp layer. I used lots of stickles in various colors for Lily and I also colored her with Bic markers. I distressed with Mustard Seed distress ink and the sentiment comes for 3 Twenty Crafts Strike A Pose stamp set and I stamped the Hello in Broken China distress ink. Added 3 Stampin Up Subtles Candy Dots to the digi stamp to give a diagonal flow for the eyes to see.
The inside of the card holds a pocket for a gift card made out of the leftover piece of embossed mat. A fun sentiment I found on line and computer generated with distressing along the edge of the mat. I also distressed the inside of the card a bit with using tape to pull away the smooth of the cardstock to give it a rougher look. A card ready to send to my next relative or friend that gets s new house. Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation linked up.

New House Card for Funday Friday Challenge #40-Anything Goes

Hello and it's Friday and that can only mean that it is Fun-Day Friday Challenge over at Jo's Scrap Shack! Hello and welcome to my blog, today for Group A our sponsor this week is Bugaboo, This weeks challenge: is Anything Goes :) I'm so ready to see spring that my taste in stamps lately is directed that way, were starting to see the weather breaking here and it's getting a bit warmer and less snow on the ground. Here is the card I made:
I chose the digi stamp Birdhouse-Ladybug its a really cute stamp, I wanted to do a card for someone getting a new house a friend of mine from work has been looking so when he finally finds the house that he wants, my card will be ready to give him with a nice house warming gift inside
This card came together pretty fast with my March counterfeit kit handy to use for the papers. I used a vanilla 5 X 7 card base in my stash, covered it with CTMH Buzz & Bumble paper pack, in the ovals cut with my CM oval cutters the red with lettering paper and the cream that was in the same CTMH kit with this I also stamped the background with 3 Twenty Crafts Say it with Heart stamp set:
I used the flower style hexagon, stamping with CTMH inks: Goldrush and Indian Corn Blue. I also used
the hello from 3 Twenty Crafts stamp set Strike A Pose with the same CTMH Indian Corn Blue ink also dabbed the edges with it and popped it up with foam tape. Along the let side I added a few sunflowers punched with MS-Starburst punch and from my stash I found this black swirls and used those to look like they were holding the oval in place on the card :)
The inside of the card:

I printed off the sentiment from my Word processing program and brought in more of the flowers that were punched and the black swirls

Homespun Congrats!

Hello and welcome to my blog, I'm the designer today over at Card A Day Blog and the theme is New: New home, New job, New school and so on. My card for today:

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpAJtdgodtWasLuG48y5n0mzup6kaKijDaV96QhyphenhyphenUCmvqIl1VLHbuTnuY-Okk-UgOTjnekM2TnPaGTm83XNOqCWJ9nKbwThgRwAUQWIq-2gZ7hLZIqCNEFWA-EzfnUjPR1X754-B6YcNwe/s1600/DSC02221.JPG
A congrats on a new home with a homespun look. We were on vacation this past week so I had to get this card made up this morning in a jiffy before heading to work so it's nice to have things on hand to use and make it come together so well.
The card base is A2 size card from Staples Ivory cardstock the mat is gingham brown check from an unknown paper pack. The House piece is a 2 X 3 card from the Harvest Lane collection from Simple Stories, so are the letters used on the card. The bow is premade and is from my ribbon drawer and the key came from Sweet Surrender collection by Tina Higgins.
It was a quick easy card to make and when your in a hurry things like these come in handy. So when your creating think ahead what you might be able to use for a fast card when the time is tight. Hey you all a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by and seeing the view from my little corner of the world....

Bless this Nest

Good Morning and Happy Saturday to you!
The card I have for you today is one I made in our Close To My Heart club we have each month. My rep Pam comes up with some really cute ideas for cards
Since it was made in this particular class I don't have all the details, I know everything used is from Close to My Heart and the products are from an earlier catalog than the spring/summer 2012. It really turned out well and not hard to lift, and a great use of striped cardstock for one of the panels. Very balanced card, sweet one for a new home owner.
Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world...
