1st Day of School 2020 LO for the Sketch n Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome to the 2nd sketch challenge over at Sketch N Scrap challenge blog. We have this cool sketch from Lisa for our inspiration:

This sketch has so much potential to it, I used it with a couple more back to school photos of my grandkids Zachary and Tristan

Using my current counterfeit kit: Teamwork for my layout plus 2 fun photos of my grands brought this sketch to life, and I gathered 25 points for Calvinball too

Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world.
I look forward to seeing what you create from this fun sketch over at Sketch N Scrap.

New Birfeeder LO

Hello :) Calvinball layout today :) This layout was created over the weekend :) The pictures are new pictures I took Saturday and I finished up the layout on Sunday. Took some pictures yesterday that will be for some upcoming layouts this month too :) why wait a whole year to scrap photos when I can print at home and get the layouts done now!

This layout was created using Day 7 from Christys Beautiful Life series #30DSCBL7 and I got 15 points for Calvinball too. I used a cutfile from Kreative Cut club Nov 2019 kit

I used my current counterfeit kit: Teamwork for my layout pattern papers and such, found the apple diecuts in my stash in reference to the Green Apple tree that the birdfeeder is in.

Welcome :) I created this layout using the March 1st sketch over at Sketch N Scrap and my 1st layout using my March Counterfeit Kit Teamwork

This is the layout I created with it

My grandkids 1st day of school in 2020. I used both my current counterfeit kit Teamwork and I used the item list over at #scraphappy #calvinball2021 for my layout too for the points. Which this one done on March 2 gave me 7 points! Sweet :) The cutfile came from my Sept 2019 Kreative Cuts kit

Happy Birthday Card for a Sketch n Scrap card challenge

Good morning and welcome to the 1st card sketch over at Sketch N Scrap challenge blog. I just loved this card sketch, its a fun one from Heather Hall

I created a Birthday Card for two of my Grandsons with the sketch:

 and this one

I even used my BASHket for that doily circle and the wood veneer 2. As I'm playing along with #calvinball2021 and #scraphappy for the points of using items in my stash. I have a drawer dedicated to my Birthday supplies so pretty easy to pull a birthday card together :) Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and I can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.

Calvinball 2021 Begins!

Yay! it's the beginning of March. A new counterfeit kit, Spring will be here soon and Calvinball 2021 begins! What is Calvinball? you say? it's a fun scrapbooking game created awhile back and now it's home is on the ScrapHappy site. It's free to play along and there is no prizes but lots of fun and bragging rights too

You can find more information here: When sharing online please point people to http://scraphappy.org/calvinball for more info! That is where you can sign up :)

So as I'm blogging about this and here is my 1st layout created in March I get a point for blogging it too!

I needed a quick layout yesterday for my daily layout and after checking out the sketch at Christy's Beautiful Life's youtube channel for the new month series of 30 Days of Sketches 7 I found these fun photos that I knew I could make into circle as was the sketch for the day. So for Calvinball I was able to count the layout for 1 pt, the stars for 1 pt and I blasted the layout on Instagram and my personal Facebook page for a point and now blogging it gets me another point so 4 points total for this layout!

Thanks for stopping by today to see what I'm creating in my little corner of the world :)

Soiree LO for Sketch N Scrap Challenge

Good Morning and welcome to the middle of the month! Where I live your starting to see peeks of Spring here and there, it's nice to see nature blossoming. I've been busy revamping my scrapbook room, get so far and then hit a snag here and there, as the month progresses hopefully the room will too.
We have a fantastic sketch from Heather Hall this month to play with here at Sketch N Scrap
 Image may contain: text
This is what I created with the sketch:
So sorry for the bad lighting, the only light I have in my room working is the ceiling light so it's casting shadows well. This is the companion layout to the one I created earlier in the month for Sketh N Scrap's facebook page.
Used my February Counterfeit kit: Pretty Purple Flutter, also there are elements on the layout for this year's Calvinball too. Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing what you create with this fun sketch over at Sketch N Scrap challenge blog

So Cute Playing Together for a Use Your Stuff Challenge

This week's challenge over at Use Your Stuff Challenge Blog is Challenge #275:  For the Love of Children: Got lots of pictures of the Grandkids to scrap, doing it one layout at a time

Our youngest grandsons, brothers they are, they do enjoy playing together.

This layout was made during Calvinball 2016. What makes Calvinball so fun is that there is rules to use to count the points for a layout, during the month the one with the most points will win bragging rights :) This is what I used for this layout. Using 15 different elements on a page, Use something in your stash that is at least two years old, Use patterned paper only on your page, Use your own handwriting - title or journaling, Using more than 5 pieces of patterned paper, Using 3 different fonts on one project, Use something shiny on your page - bling: silver triangle studs and star sequins, Use a dark background,
Points: 8 March 2016
The journaling it was a facebook conversation I was having with Katherine
Closeup of the middle sechion of the layout. I made this layout from the Demystifying Clustering Class from

Sleepy Buddy for a Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge

Good Morning and welcome to a new week's challenge over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook challenges
All About Animals - In The House. You are to Include a house pet/animal on your layout (dogs, cats, rabbit, hamster, snake, turtle, etc.) This can be in the photos, stickers/embellishments, or in the paper. Well our house is home to our Buddy dog :) Buddy gives me all kinds of reasons to scrap about him there a few coming up soon, but this is one of my favorites of Buddy the way he sleeps. To me it looks uncomfortable for him he likes it:
Sleepy Buddy: I really don't know how that is comfortable but he seems to like to sleep that way :) I think I woke him up with the flash of the camera.
This layout was created last year for Calvinball :) I didn't get a chance to play this year got a cold and just never was able to get caught up. My points that I had earned for the layout during Calvinball 2016: Scrap with scraps, Use something in your stash that is at least two years old, Use patterned paper only on your page, Create a monochromatic page (everything has orange), Use your own handwriting - title or journaling, Scrapbook your pet, Using 3 different fonts on one project, Use something shiny on your page - micro-beads in the 2 flowers, Use a dark background. points: 10
It's an interesting way to scrap and gets you using your old stash.

A Day in May

Good Morning and welcome :) Today we have a new week of challenge over at Lasting Memories and this is the last week for the August challenges too. The challenge is Summer Days - Use colors of photo for inspiration. "Day Colors"

So pretty, I love to look at flowers and that is what my layout is A Day In May:
The vellum background is perfect compliment to the photo and the flowers. Lovely tulips and dogwoods are the focus of the layout
I had fun with the title using 2 different fonts and lots of sequins and paper flowers
A layout created for Nicole Jones Demystifying Clustering class and this was also made in March for Calvinball :) Hence the song lyrics was for that. Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see your creation over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook challenges.

The Daily Grind

Good Morning you all :) Well I guess it was about time I create this year's goals layout :) This was a layout made during Calvinball, but it was created for over at Paper Issues for their crop weekend last month for their selfie challenge. Speaking of Calvinball I had a fantastic time playing along I made #15 in the overall count board for the month and create 31 different crafty projects over the month.
I do goals each year and this time decided to do it with a scrapbook layout :) Maybe a yearly layout for my All About Me album will be taking place. I used my Camera Crazy kit, last month's counterfeit kit, for the layout. After hearing what the theme will be for May LOAD over at Scrap Happy I thought best to save the rest of the Simple Story collections: Daily Grind and 24/7 for that LOAD. But I did get a few layouts made from the collections, this being one of them.
I used the sketch over at The Memory Nest for my layout inspiration Make it Monday No. 56

I really like the layers of this sketch and was able to use a PL card for the 4X4 photo spot.
The selfie of me was taken Jan 1 of this year, I try to reflect on the past year and think of what I accomplish and then list what I want to accomplish in the year ahead. This is that list.
I got an Easy title for my layout from the Daily Grind sticker sheet and just loved this 6X12 paper that was in the collection for the Date spot and some fun phrases too.
As my favorite color is purple besides gold I knew I had to add just a bit to the layout and was able to accomplish that with the doily for the peeking layer that was on the sketch. This was one of the quickest layouts I've done in along time and I let the words on the papers be the embellishing of the layout.
Thank you for stopping by today and seeing the view from my little corner of the world

Practice Makes Awesome

Hi you all :) Well Calvinball is winding down :) It was a blast and lots of talk over at Get It Scrapped about doing it again in July :) That would be fun I could do Christmas in July and get all those Christmas Layouts and projects done then :) I guess I'll have to wait and see what happens. I did get my Demystifying Clustering class with Nicole Jones completed and preparing to start Ready, Sketch, Go! a collaboration with Tracie Claiborne and Jen Schow. I've got the 1st layout from the 1st sketch started :)
A fun layout of Waylon at the bowling alley, Sabrina and a friend of her's went :) My word the Sabrina is amazing going bowling will carrying her twins! Looks like by the score Waylon did pretty darn good :)
This layout was inspired by Scrapbook Challenges: Sketch 197 – Updated
 197
I really like how it turned out and the fun swirl piece across the photo was a negative cut from the silhouette that has been hanging around my craft desk, so cool to add it to the layout.
Looks like he's in the zone :)
 Splatters scattered about the layout
The journaling :) It was a fun layout to do :) Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I'm doing in my little corner of the world

Derby for the Lasting Memories layout challenge

Good Morning and Happy Easter to you. I went to a beautiful church service this morning at the church that I got married in, it was wonderful to be back in the chapel for the Lord this time. I've been going through some christian changes and looking to attend a church that is closer to me on my side of the river. It's been a long 2 years since I stepped into church for a Sunday Service, I go each week for bible study on Wednesdays so I'm usually in church each week. It's a journey, but one that I need to do. I hope your Easter was a good one today too.
The latest challenge is up over at Lasting Memories today, and it is the final challenge of this month. Our theme this month has been "Welcome to the Oscars" and our last challenge is - "And the award goes to..." This could mean sports, trophies, school awards, etc. I found this picture in my stash of printed photos and I have many that would fit this challenge, I decided to do this one.
Elias, our grandson, he is the 2nd son of Albert's family. We were so proud t o see this picture on FB, we are always so proud to see the grandkids achieve in their life. So that day Elias was the star, winning that trophy.
I had inspiration for my layout from Whimsical Musings Challenge #124 - Inspired by stars, constellations, or the night sky I was very inspired by stars for my layout. i was also inspired by my Demystifying Clustering class by Nicole Jones this was lesson #13, just a couple more to go :) It's been a fun class and so glad to be learning so much about clustering. Also inspired by Calvinball :) with that I make sure I add things to increase my points :) and then I get inspiration from my counterfeit kit Camera Crazy. That is what is great about scrapbooking there is so many places to look for inspiration for layouts.
Close up of Elias and that trophy :) Plus 2 clusters: large one on top and the small one on the bottom
The journaling spot, love having cutaparts in the kit, they are great for this kind of thing too. That 1st place ribbon was in the stamps that I included in this month's kit. It was done with heat embossing with gold embossing powder. It was s fun addition to the layout
The top cluster is the medium cluster. Thank you for stopping by today and see what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I look forward to seeing what you create this week for this challenge. All Challenges end on 4/1/16

Today's Funday Friday challenge theme is Anything Goes over at Jo's Scrap Shack and the sponsors this week are Di's Digi Stamps and Bugaboo Stamps.

This was a purely fun layout to make no real reason behind making the layout other than to include the fun digi stamp. Yesterday was not a good day to find the pictures that I had in mind for the layout, but so glad that I have a variety of pictures that are printed out and ready to go in a moments notice :) A cleanup of the room in April is now a must do if I'm losing pictures and stamps. This layout was inspired by Whimsical Musings Challenge #10 - Inspired by what’s right outside your window
I also used a sketch to help me along with my layout. I used the Throwback Thursday Sketch #3 over at Sketch N Scrap

I like when I can add a stamp to my layout and this one was so cool when I seen it over at Bugaboos that I knew it would be used for a layout. I used Bugaboo's Winter Bird House stamp for my layout:
I colored it up with a variety of markers. More close ups of the layout:
The Title came from the  Whimsical Musings challenge and the journaling about the photos, not much just the vitals.
The cluster with the stamp
Just small clusters with this layout :p I used my current counterfeit kit: Camera Crazy for the journaling and part of the title paper and the word sticker and alphas.

Joy of Spring for the Counterfeit Kit Challenge March Blog Hop

Hi you all and Good Morning :) Another cool Blog Hop with Counterfeit Kit Challenge, would be great to see you all play along too. You should have come to my blog from the creative Susanne's blog :) So excited to go and see what cool project Susanne has done, but I'm excited to go and see what all the members have done. So if you are just now joining the hop you may want to go to Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog to start at the beginning of the hop.  This month we could either do the challenges or we were able to show anything we wanted that was created with our kit that we have not shared yet on our blog. As a reminder, here are the three challenges this month:

Challenge #1: May you live in Pinteresting times
Challenge #2: Media Studies
Challenge #3: Insta Inspiration

I chose to do Challenge #3 Insta Inspiration I chose to make a layout with photos in a square format like an insta :) Love these flowers when they bloom in the backyard with that pop of purple. I chose to do a monochromatic layout and lets those purple blooms shine.
This layout was done with the sketch from Let's Get Sketchy : Week 3 sketch

I did this sketch as soon as I seen it was a good one to use for a monochromatic layout :)
The title are of the layout, easy to see the lime green of it here
It was cool to add clusters to this layout and got to use up an old die cut that I had gotten in a swap, but I had in numerous counterfeit kits :) Glad to see it out of my stash and on a layout
This cluster has the flower name besides the date the pictures were taken. The fabric flower I had gotten in an old swap too.
Was able to use up that button (got a few more to go yet in the big buttons in various colors) I like adding the string to it and making a bow.
The journaling. A little bit of information about the flowers I found online and some personal thoughts too.
I was also inspired by Whimsical Musings Challenge #27 - Inspired by going green We are going green.  But I am not asking you to make a Green page (although, you get extra points in my book if you do!) I am talking about the concept of "green" - Repurposing, Recycling, Re-using.
We do our part of "Green" so glad to be able to use buttons on this layout :) Most buttons that you see on my layouts usually come from old shirts of the hubby's that he cuts the buttons off and I receive them :)

Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy the rest of the blog hop. Your next stop is over at Elaine's blog
It's great to have her back around the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blogging again and looking forward to seeing what she has create :)
