November 8 2016

If you are looking for today's Use Your Stuff post you can find it here.
Hello once again today :) So glad your still visiting me today :) This layout came from LOAD217 DAY 17: Theseus Tell a story of your right to vote and what that means to you. OR… Share the results of a notable election and your thoughts. I went with what it means to me:
I used this sketch over at The Memory Nest for my inspiration:
I took some inspiration from their DT member Doreen to on my layout as I added more photos and information that I wanted on the layout but I added the main circles to my layout and the title spot in the same area too.
I used my current counterfeit kit: A Few of My favorite Things plus I used some stickers from the 30-Sticker challenge over at the 100 Pattern Paper Challenge facebook group. This was a fun way to look at our history of Women Voters.

Genuine & Quirky LO for Use Your Stuff Challenge

Good Morning to you :) been busy this month with LOAD and that seems to make the blog just a bit quiet :) Next month is Calvinball and that will cause the same as it seems when I get creative I don't have the time to blog about it too :) Something I'll have to work on I guess there has to be a happy medium between the 2.
This week's challenge over at Use Your Stuff is to use a sketch to influence your project, you are to pick your own sketch. I went over to Let's Get Sketchy for my inspiration and this layout is also inspired from LOAD217 Day 22: Selene is the goddess of the day. the prompt is What is you personality? Are you shy or outgoing? What helps you shine? I went with my personality and as this is a Greek Mythology LOAD also my astronomy sign.
I had a blast creating this layout and loved that doily that was in that sketch from Let's Get Sketchy :
I shifted over the title area so I could add a spot for the journaling for the prompt. The doily is one I got in a flea market find of doilies got a whole bag full for just a buck!
I used one of my favorite pattern papers for the layout been hoarding these paper (still got one left :) thought this would be a good place to use it :) Use some pink from the photo too on the layout. I used 2 of the project life cards, the heart enamels, & chipboard pieces from my counterfeit kit: A Few of My Favorite Things. The dimensional stickers I had in my basket of stickers that I pulled for a challenge last month for the 100 pattern paper challenge facebook group.
A fun way to create the title with the 2 different fonts
close up on the dimensional sticker and the enamel hearts and the sparkly stickers
The other spot that I added the same embellishments and the chipboard arrow too. Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see your creation linked up at Use Your Stuff challenge blog.

Happy Day for an SNS Sketch Challenge

Good Morning and Happy February! Wow really it's February already! Today Lisa has a fun layout sketch for us to play with over at Sketch~N~Scrap, sketch #122:
No automatic alt text available.

This is what I created from the sketch:
These were the extra pictures that day and made for a a final cool layout, it was a full day and the previous 2 page layout can be found here. I do like to jump around when I'm scrappin :) I used last month's counterfeit kit: Glacially Toasted for the layout. This one had been planned for awhile cause the Happy Day title block was in the envelope with the pictures :) This was just a few days after Zachary's 1st Birthday and Brad was in for 2 weeks before being shipped back over to Afghanistan to finish his tour. He had a full calendar for those 2 weeks but it was great to get to spend some time with him and the family.
The journaling was put on this fun journaling block that came with the other chipboard pieces on the layout (just 2 more pieces to go on that sheet :)
A super sweet picture of Dave with Zachary, that 1st year there weren't to many pictures of them together unless Zachy was crying.
3 Generation picture in the middle of the guys. Son, Grandson and Father/Grandpap
The final embellishment cluster that was on the sketch. It was a Happy Day that day. Thanks for stopping by and look forward to seeing what you create for this sketch challenge.

Tasty layout for Use Your Stuff challenge

Good Morning and welcome. Today I'm the hostess of this week's challenge over at Use Your Stuff. I am challenging you to get out those 6X6 paper pads and use at least 3 papers from the 6X6 paper pad and create with it!  Lots of inspiration out there on using it :) My layout was inspired by a Shimelle sketch. Here is what I created:
The Shimelle sketch that I used for inspiration is #42 Repeating Simple Shapes:
scrapbooking sketch by shimelle laine @ shimelle.com
perfect sketch to use up a few 6X6 papers.
I used 3 coordinating papers for Die Cut With a View's The Juniper Berry Stack for my design background on my layout. the 6X6 paper pad was included in my current counterfeit kit: Glacially Toasted  I love to use 6X6 papers for layering on layouts and for card fronts too.
These pictures were taken on Memorial Day and posted on facebook. A cute set of pictures of Zachary at almost 11 Months. He's getting so big in these pictures :) I've been working on a stack of his old photos and it's been fun to reminisce that time a bit.
 Close up of the photos.
Thank you for stopping by ans seeing what I'm creating and I hope to see your creations over at Use Your Stuff blog.

Happy Birthday for Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style

Good Morning once again :) If you are looking for the Sketch N Scrap layout you can find it here.
and if your looking for my Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge you can find it here.
This is the 3rd posting today, a very busy day indeed :) This one comes from the sketch challenge over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style and the card I made with the sketch:
and the sketch I used is Sketch #59 by the lovely and talented, Susanne Brauer.....
The spot of words was perfect place to use up some word stickers from my current CKC kit: Glacially Toasted also the tabs came from the box of diecuts I had in the kit and the card came from the Natural matstack. The birthday stickers come from 30-Sticker Challenge used up quite abit on the layout:
As you can see here on the layout :) I love how this all came together, I've had this picture of Zachary for quite awhile (he is 6 years old now) and this month I have been creating with some of his older pictures before I dive into his brother's 1st year book. So the combination of the sketch, the letter stickers from my CKC kit and the birthday stickers made a really cool layout :) I had a little help from The Memory Nest too as I used the current sketch for my overall layout:
A fun sketch for this fun layout :) lots of movement with this sketch.
I shifted the Title down to the bottle of the layout instead of the top to produce the diagonal flow of the layout. Those big letters were in my "Bash"kit for this month, trying to get through those old letters. Be playing scrabble tonight with the rest to come up with Title uses for the extra :)
Super cute picture of Zachary that Katherine posted on his birthday, he looks like his Dad in the picture, but he looks like his Mom too. He's really got the best of both of them within himself
The journaling for the layout I wrote a while back attached to the back of the picture with the day with a post-it note, something I need to get back to doing! it's way easier than searching for dates on facebook. Thank you for stopping by today and I wish you a fantastic day! Gotta run gotta finish up a layout for tomorrow's DT posting!
Hope you decide to play along this month over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style:
The prize for January is this Adore You stamp set. You will have until January 31, 2017 to add your link to be eligible to win this darling set!

1st Few Days a Sketch N Scrap Layout Challenge

Good Morning and Welcome :) I've got a few projects to share with you today, so best get started :)
This is my first sketch challenge with Sketch N Scrap as a design team member and I loved this sketch! I did put my own spin on it as most of you know how much I like to include photos on my layout! Heather has created this fun sketch #121:
 No automatic alt text available.
This is what I created with this fun sketch:
Tristan's 1st few days at Preschool, the same school that Zachary had went to so he had been there before, but this was different now Mom was leaving him there. He handled it very well :) Great to see him enjoying the day. As the sketch had 2 landscape photo orientation, I only had the one and added the other 3 from that week to make up the other area of the landscape photo.
I used my current CKC kit: Glacially Toasted for the layout, glad to use that ribbon for the border element and the left over stapled on the tag I created from a PL card. The title was created with 3 Alphas and the fun school sticker elements scattered about the layout.
Closeups of the layout
Be sure to stop Sketch N Scrap to see what my DT sisters created with this fun layout, so much inspiration there :) I hope you'll join us this month, there is a fantastic prize offered up to play along :)
Thank you for stopping by today and I'll be back a little later with another fun project to share with you.....
