Floatie Fun for a Sketch N Scrap FB challenge

Today I'm doing the August 1st layout sketch from Sketch N Scrap that will be posted on the facebook group.
No photo description available.
I only had 3 photos to use for this layout so I changed it up just a bit by adding a PL card to it for onw of the photos.
Pure summer fun on this layout of the 2 granddaughters and the 3 Great grandaughters enjoying floating on the Lake. I captured all the colors from all those floaties that Amber is carrying.
My journaling :) Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge over at Sketch N Scrap

Enjoy the Little Things LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome to the 2nd scrapbook page layout sketch challenge at Sketch N Scrap challenge. Today ware challenged with this sketch:
No photo description available.
Created this layout of one of the Sunny days last summer, they were far inbetween so it was good to get out and enjoy it :)
Lots of layering on this layout and my title came from the one cutapart sheet that was in my current counterfeit kit Color My World. Grabbing some of the pink papers and embellishments in my kit. It was good to use that bow paper for the background of this layout.
Close up of the title and journaling
Close up of the cluster I created and our furry senior :)
Close up of the bottom cluster, adding a camera and puffy hearts to each :) Thanks from stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation with this fun sketch :) at Sketch N Scrap

The Good Stuff - Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge

Hello and Welcome :) to today's challenge over at Lasting Memories Layout Challenges. We have a fun theme for October and today's challenge is one that anyone could join in on:

Our theme for October is - October Events - and this week our challenge is:
LM # 417 - Breast Cancer Awareness.  October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Show us a way that you help out this worthwhile cause or just use lots of pink on your layout.
Here is the layout I created with this challenge in mind because of the pink used:

This was completed during the LOAD Mini: Out of this World over the summer where we do 1 week of LOAD. I used paper from my Perfect Collection Class for this very quick layout. The prompt was: LOAD Mini: Out of this World: Day 1: SPACE: Scrap about a physical space you love or something that requires a lot of your mental space. How do you make space for yourself? or you could created a layout with white space.
I would have to say I love to be out in the yard this time of the year to enjoy seeing God's creation through the flowers we have about the yard. Summer 2018. Between the beginning of Spring and throughout the summer I love to see the flowers we have growing around the yard.

My title work coming from my counterfeit kit in August 2018: Summer Life. The title definitely came from the kit and so did the embellishments.

The journaling block is a bit hard to read and I darken up the image so it's a bit easier to read.
Love to be out in the yard this time of the year, especially when the flowers are in full bloom. Summer 2018
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing what you create for this fun challenge over at Lasting Memories Layout Challenges.

Our Home layout

Good Morning and welcome :) I hope you are having an enjoyable Labor Day weekend :) I've got a huge list to tackle today so tomorrow can be enjoyed and relaxing too :)
Today starts us off with a new challenge month over at Lasting Memories Scrapbooking challenge.
Our theme for September is - Mixed Bag - meaning our challenges are going to be a little bit of this and a little bit of that! That's my kind of challenge :) Our first challenge of the month is:

LM #411 -  Since Labor Day is tomorrow here in the US, and it is the "unofficial" end to summer, create a summer themed layout and include the word "fun" on your layout - this can be in the title, in your journaling, or on your embellishments.

This is the layout I created
Still being inspired by that sketch I did for yesterday's post from Sketch N Scrap and this was the challenge for today over at Nicole Jones Scrap-A-Thon 2 and the Home prompt was a challenge for Scraptember a fun scrappy month in a facebook group :)
I enjoyed using a little of this and a little of that with my counterfeit kits, too Using paper from last mnonth's kit:Summer Life and July's kit:Dash of This and Dash of That, too and a little of the 6X6 paper cut apart sheet and the homegrown sticker sheet for my title and for embellishing on the layout from my current kit: Falling For You
I got the fun right there in the word stickers that I was adding to the layout so the challenge for Lasting Memories was fulfilled :)
This was a fun layout to create and I'm thinking the Shimelle's class Layer on Layer on Layer on is helping me with my current scrapping style.
Thanks for stopping by today and I do hope you enjoy the view where your at today :)

200 Years

LOAD817mini Day 7 prompt: Now and Then shows us that adventures out in the sun are a great way to make memories. Show us what you’ve been enjoying out in the beautiful sunshine!
This was one of our Summer Adventures this summer:
This was a few hours that we were in Milton, PA for their 200 year festivies :) Milton is a great old tow and lots to see but Dave wasn't feeling it that day and we got there when it was just ending so another walk through the town another day for me.
 My journaling
I had fun using one of the pictures for an embellishment and that included the date that it was incorporated for the 200th year :)
Close up of the pictures. The top row is of the old Train Station what it looks like Now and Then :) Fitting for the title of this LOAD :) the bottom row was a few other sites during our walk. I used more of the Close to My Heart Hopscotch workshop for this layout too. It was nice to have the collection available to do up the layout quickly :) I used my last month's counterfeit kit: Geometric Splatter for the layout.

Summer Fun Layout Challenge for Use Your Stuff Blog

Good Morning :) I hope you had an awesome weekend. Mine was different for sure!
Today Tammy is challenging us to use warm sunny colors - oranges, reds, yellows, turquoise, bright green - any of those fun summer colors that just warm you inside and out! I used mainly the oranges, reds and yellows on my layout:
A couple pictures of the Grandboys that Brad took and posted on facebook last summer. The colors are a great combination with the wagon color and the pedal tractor color. I used my current kit : Sweet Summertime for my layout.
For my inspiration for the layout I went to The Memory Nest and used the current challenge sketch:
The doily didn't quite show up as I thought it would but it gave a nice backdrop the @ spot on the layout I created for part of the title work.
I wrote in Brad"s posting on Facebook and added my own posting and thoughts for the pictures plus the date.
I'm enjoying this die cut pack I got at the yardsale in my kit this month, perfect Title spots being used.
 Picture of Zachary and Tristan
I got inspiration from on of the DT's layout for this upper corner layout cluster it seem to help ground the layout better. Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation posted up on the Use Your Stuff challenge blog

Reel Life Story

Good Morning and welcome to this week's Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge: Triangles. I have 4 of them on this layout:
I made this layout for LOAD 1016 Day 9: The prompt was to use something that made you excited to buy it, but never used it! Haven't we all fall into the scenario :) I've bought lots of stamp sets that have made me excited to get, lots of ideas and then nothing! put it away and never used it! This stamp set I had in many counterfeit kits and still didn't use it, well this day was the day to use it :) and this also is one of the challenges that were for The 20 Project class too (something I need to get back to and finish up :).
I missed out on getting this posted in time for the sketch I used over at GrandDiva's Creative Corner:
It was a really interesting layout to try.
The layout was a couple of pictures I took of the growth of the sweet corn in the garden. the 1st photo was from the back view of the garden and the 2nd photo was almost a month later at the front view, just a different way to look at the garden :) When your summers are of the same things sometimes you got to change it up a bit :) I love to take morning walks with Buddy in the summer after work so my focus is usualy the garden. Close ups:

Thank you for stopping buy today and I look forward to seeing what you create for this challenge :) over at Lasting Memories

Look Here

Good Morning to you :) Can you believe this is the last day of August! Wow the summer season is just about over, while walking with the dog this morning I seen fallen leaves! and orange pumpkins in the garden! It's coming way to fast this year, I'm not anxious for fall.... I love the sun and all the fresh veggies in the garden. So I guess I better deal with it :) Atleast I have summer pictures to scrap for a bit in the fall.
Today's layout is one of the goodies of summer, the 1st corn of the season and was it delicious!
I used my current counterfeit kit Easy Livin' for this layout, I was drawn to the blue on the plate and that made me think of a blue prompt over at Whimsical Musings, Challenge #204 – Tiffany Blue be inspired by Tiffany Blue.
So I took the left over blue in my kit and also used some blue stamping for the title and the embellishments for this layout. I used the sketch over at The Memory Nest for the layout: sketch #69

It was a fun sketch to work with, I have one more to do this week yet for the summer challenge Leslie is having over at The Memory Nest.
So the beginning of this layout came from The 20 Project:  Day 17: Whittle down that giant stack of photos
So I took the printed photos I just got from snapfish
 This stack of 99 prints
and I separated them into piles for scrapbook layouts. It was fun to tackle this like this right from the start. Now I have plans for about 10 layouts maybe a few more depending on the large stack of reunion photos and how I handle those. After separating them we were to take one stack and create a layout :) Which I accomplished.
Shimelle's class, a few of the 1st few prompts is about stamps and I had these stamps in my CKC Just Chillin' last month and it's been sitting on my desk so I knew I was using those and a set of letter stamps I received in a swap a long time ago that never saw ink :) So it was fun to do some stamping and adding it to my layout.
My journaling I chose a silver pen, now thinking it may have been a bad choice, so may rewrite the journaling on the back of the layout. It says: 1st corn of the summer season we were just talking about it yesterday at the family reunion, Dan had asked about it. I thought it wasn't quite ready, but to my surprise, I guess it was. A great meal that night.
More close up of the stamping. So glad to have this in the Album for 2016. Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. Tomorrow is a new day, a new month and new inspiration from Counterfeit Kit Challenge :) Still have some of this month's kit to play with yet to finish out the week :) The weekend I'll be able to gather up the new kit :)

Say Hello to Summer

Good Morning :) Hope you all had a lovely weekend. We were busy ding stewed tomatoes and getting them canned up, still got salsa to make yet today :) Yesterday was the finally of the Little League series and it was great to see The Endwell, New York team took the series and it was great to see it End this Well is was a deserved win that had not lost a game leading into the series and won it straight through with no losses. We always enjoy watching the game at home will canning up some kind of tomato product. To me it seems when the series ends so does summer and this coming weekend is Labor Day, I'm ready for some cooler temperatures but no snow please for me :)
This is the 1st layout I did for LOADmini Day 1: Summer equals Water. I had one thought in mind for this layout but knew I didn't have all the pictures I wanted to use yet (and still don't! Need to prepare another print order I guess) But I did have these of our grandkids, these are Albert's 4 kids (Astacia is not with them that day).
I used my July counterfeit kit for this layout Just Chillin' and used quite a bit from the I (heart) Summer collection from Simple Stories
A close up of the pictures of the kids. We live along the river both us in South Williamsport and the kids in Williamsport, so the River Walk is a good thing they added along thee river. One section of it leads you to this area and isn't that what the beginning of summer is about :) Enjoying the warm days and getting your feet wet. I like the border of word stickers I used along the side of the pictures.
Bullet journaling was great use for this layout and challenge I did for our SNC group
The top cluster with more stickers and the rhinestones and some fun word phrases with the date. I used and old Cocoa Daisy sketch from May 1, 2012 for my layout. This is also for the challenge over at Whimsical Musings Challenge #95 - Inspired by a summer colour scheme
This collection really shows off that color scheme very well :) As summer comes to an end and so will the garden and I have more time to scrap, plans to really get into catching up with the prompts over at Whimsical Musings
Thank you for stopping by and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. Lots of Summer photos that need to be scrapped yet.......

Loyalsock Valley Antique Machinery Show

Good Morning :) I did a layout about our local Antique Tractor Show. This was created from the Summer Lovin' LOADmini Day 5 prompt: Lovin' the Great Outdoors
Our way of Lovin' the Great Outdoors in the summer time :) This year we haven't went to as many shows as we have in previous years, but we always get to atleast one each year so far this is one that I was able to attend since it was our local Tractor Show:
These are just a few of the pictures I took that day :) I have just gotten in more pictures to be scrapped yet. I fun over view of the show that I took in a bit. I used the sketch over at Scrapbook Challenges for my layout:
ss1607
The August challenge over at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge is to use a souvenir from a place or event on your page - maybe a theater ticket? A subway pass? A map? A pamphlet from somewhere you visited or want to visit? The side border piece is the wrist band I had on at the show and thought it worked out well for the layout as well as parts of the flyer for the day and for the title block.
My journaling went into a speech bubble that I cut from a PL card :)
The title block has all the info on about the show, dates, location and feature and nice addition :) I scattered star sequins in the red and gold these are the colors of the tractors :) I used a piece of paper from that 8X8 October Afternoon paper pad in my current counterfeit kit Easy Livin'.
Also to get more ideas for ways to use a sketch, I've been watching Tina Gale's Focus on Sketches series n youtube and have been getting lots of fun tips on changing up a sketch :)
Thanks for stopping by today and I wish you a fantastic day and a fantastic weekend :) We have Little League World Series in hi gear around my house this weekend with the final games so plans to do a little salsa making and canning and some stewed tomatoes too something that is both a bit lite in the basement at the moment.

Just Enjoying the Day a Stick It Down challenge

Good Morning :) Today is the posting from the Double Page team over at Stick It Down. Here is what I created with the sketch:
I had fun creating this layout from the sketch and I used a few leftover scraps from my July counterfeit kit challenge kit Just Chillin' the pinks and light blue from last month kit worked out great with all those bold bright colors. Here is the sketch we were using:
I used alot of cut aparts and alot of stickers for my embellishing, some punch out shapes too.
The left side of the layout had 5 photos, a couple of cutaparts, punched out hearts and stickers used for borders and for clusters around the layout. This is pictures of the flower bed getting prepared for the flowers we just bought and planting the flowers.
The right side holds the title of the layout, another cutapart PL style card, stickers, punched out hearts and a journaling label. Picture of the finished flower bed and a picture of me relaxing on the back patio from all that fun work :) Just enjoying the day. This comes for the LOADmini Day 3 For the love of Relaxing
Relaxing by way of sowing in the flower bed :) just about as relaxing as scrappin :) and kicking back out on the back porch enjoying the day.
Thank you stoping by and I look forward to seeing your creation real soon over at Stick It Down, You have until the end of the month to link up your layout. We'll choose one winner from each sketch to return in October as our guest designers!
