Family & Friends LO for Use Your Stuff challenge

Good Morning :) Hope you had a fantastic weekend :) I'm here with this week's challenge over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog and the challenge this week is to create a project using some scraps from another project. I've been creating graduation layouts from our Granddaughter's Graduation last year and it was great to use the scraps throughout to keep the theme together.
Used lots of scraps on this layout :) what makes a fun fast layout is using scraps :) some stamping and some stickers too. Thank you for stopping by today to see what I'm up too in my scrappy corner of the world :) Now I can't wait to see your take on this fun challenge over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog this week.

Graduation Day LO for Stick It Down challenge

Hello and welcome :) Today's double page sketch was a fun one to play with over at Stick It Down blog, but 1st let's hear abit about this month's sponsor:
SpiegelMom Scraps is a specialty sequin mix shop based in Racine, Wisconsin (US).   SMS's owner, Jody, began her love of crafting as a child with her Nana and making coasters with yarn and plastic canvas.  From then on she never looked back and has always been creative.  She's been scrapbooking nearly 20 years and has always loved to sprinkle pretty little details throughout her scrapbook pages.  Jody's love of creating, adding tiny details and sparkle led her to start her business in 2010.  Since then SpiegelMom Scraps has grown, along with Jody's busy family, to a one woman small business with a fabulous design team called the Sparklers.   Jody and the Sparklers enjoy teaming up with other small businesses to swap products to create with and hosting fun events on social media.  Jody would love you to join them on their creative journey by following SMS on social media.  There's LOTS of inspiration and a wonderful community in the Spread the Sparkle Facebook group also.  Please stop by and leave a comment telling us where you heard about SMS!

You can find SMS inspiration on the BLOG, Instagram, You Tube channel, and the Facebook group.

This is the layout I created using this sketch:

Using some fun tie-dye paper I have to create this layout using the colors from Brandon's Graduation gown and tassel which include the colors of the Green and Yellow :) The added pink I didn't have a choice with.

Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing what you create with this fun sketch over at Stick It Down.

You did IT! Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style challenge

Hello! Today I have the newest challenge over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style blog Sketch #31. This is the card I made from the sketch:
Our Gradaughter's graduation photo with her dad, John (Dave's oldest son) and mom, Melissa :) and this is the sketch I used to create the card:

This is such a fun sketch that it can be used for so many ways and as I'm the 1st DT to show off the sketch you can see other inspiration all week with this sketch over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style blog
This is the layout I created with that card :) I pulled that fun green triangle paper from my current counterfeit kit Summer Daze and the CTMH paper ChalkIt Up for the rest of the papers as it is a school theme paper line.
I made one adjustment to the card and that was the outlining around the letters to bring them out more from the paper something that I have learned from May Flaum's classes she does often. But the card made a nice date block for the layout and emphasized that picture with of Amber with her parents
The poem I found on scrapbook.com and modified it a bit for what I wanted for my layout. I also added our feelings to the layout too :) We are very proud of our granddaughter <3
The top section I outlined the letters of the title and added that fun frame around Amber on the stage. This layout was pure fun to make and I think I captured the excitement of the day very well on the layout. Thank you for stopping by and seeing what I'm up too in my little corner of the world and I hope to see your creation linked up over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style blog. Check out the prize below, I know this is a stamp set I want to get too:
This month's prize is this fantastic stamp. The Long Way Home. You have until June 30 to add your link!
We can't wait to see what you create!

STRUT YOUR (Creative Pointe) STUFF! June CHALLENGE

Good Morning and Happy Monday to you :) Yep, it's been awhile since I have been on the blog, I haven't felt to good. Seems to me that Spring/Summer colds are worst than Winter colds. But enough about me I wanted to tell you of a new challenge over at Creative Cutting Challenge:
While the regular challenge is taking the summer off,  we're going to try something new!
STRUT YOUR (Creative Pointe) STUFF! CHALLENGE
So, how does this special monthly Challenge work?
You can enter any project, from any date* (back linking allowed!) as long as you use an electronic cutting file from The Creative Pointe.  So if you've purchased or grabbed a freebie from one of our almost two hundred files, you can play along.
If you haven't got a Creative Pointe file to use, grab one of these for free:
We want to see what you create (or have created) with our files!
I's your June chance to STRUT YOUR (Creative Pointe) STUFF!
Two fabulous prizes will be awarded by random drawings each month this summer.
You'll have to go over to the blog to see what you could win!
This layout was made off of yesterday's LOAD prompt: all about Cover Art: Duran Duran was THE teeny bopper band of the 80s, and they knew how to use art on their album covers. Remember Rio? That’s the album with the woman’s portrait by Nagel on the cover. Let’s take our cue from that and make a page with a huge self-portrait or portrait of someone you love.
I didn't have a huge photo of Amber or the paper to make the photo, so I combined two of my favorite pictures from facebook of her, senior picture and graduation.  I used part of Creative Pointe's Be-YOU-tiful file for my title:

You can check out her other files over at her pinterest board: https://www.pinterest.com/creativepointe/svgs-for-electronic-cutters/
All the elements of this layout came from all old counterfeit kit challenge kits. They got a new kit up today if you would like to take on the challenge of counterfeiting a kit!
It was so cool to see Amber's cap, that is so her and the title is just perfectly fitting for her.
I did some fussy cutting to put the I Did It on the tag that holds the journaling and a couple of pieces from the Maggie Holmes Flea Market packet of diecuts. I made one mistake and corrected it after taking the picture. Amber got accepted at STI for Diesel Technology! Way to go Amber!
That's right boys you better look out cause her comes our Amber! we are so proud of our granddaughter and your accomplishments.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see your creations over at Creative Cutting Challenge.

Special Graduation

Hi you all and welcome to my blog I'm the designer today over at Card A Day Blog, a blog that offers a challenge monthly, just need to do one or even all the themes it the month. We hope that you'll join us and play along:)
Graduation Week and I have had the pleasure of having tax week (yep been doing them) so it hasn't left to much time or desk space to craft this week so I thought I'd bring back a favorite of mine. I gave this card to my G-daughter for her graduation in 2012, it's a waterfall card. As you draw down on the string it flicks down like a waterfall and shows a variety of icons about graduation. If you would like to see the card in action you can stop by my blog at this post. Thanks for stopping by and stop back later for a Friday Fun-Day Challenge

Happy Graduation Day Jessica

Today is a special day for us, our grand-daughter Jessica graduates today. Sadly we can't be there to see here walk up and get her diploma, over a 1,000 miles are in the way. This is the card I made for her:
Jessica's school colors are Green, Blue, Silver and Black so I made sure to capture all those colors in the card. This card is jam packed with goodies. I put sequins on it in various colors that I found in my stash. The card base is from my new cricut cartridge Artiste, love this cartridge! I wanted this cartridge just for the flip cards, but it has way more fun than just that. I used Accent 2-square cut at 6".
Paper used for the card: Cardbase is blue cardstock from the Magnifique (CTMH), Green cardstock from the Mayberry (CTMH), layers are Colorbok-Gray perlesence and DCWV-Rock Star pack- Black with silver stars.
Green 4" X 4", Black w/Stars 2 5/8" X 2 5/8", Natural 2" X 2" for the sentiment. Sentiments: SU- Happy Graduation from Teeny Tiny Wishes and You Rock (not sure of the collection) Momento Black Ink.
On the inside:Gray is 5 /8" X 4.5", Black w/ stars: 5.5" X 4 3/8", Natural 4" X 4" stamped with Taylored Expressions: Graphic Greetings Graduate (love this stamp!)
Also on the flip part of the card I added the girl graduate free file from svgcuts.com out of various scraps. Isn't she a sweetie!
Happy Graduation Day Jessica!

Thanks for stopping by today and seeing the view form my little corner of the world....
