Autumn Blessings LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning, the weather here in PA has been changing all over the place! Last week I think we had Indian Summer and now the temps have changed to the cooler weather of Fall. Welcome to the 2nd layout sketch challenge of the month over at Sketch N Scrap blog. Stacy has a sweet sketch for us to play with this month:

This was a fun sketch to play with :) I added an extra picture to my layout but the essence of the sketch is still there.

A walk that Buddy and I took on a Saturday night before the time change, enjoying a bit of time outside. The leaves have fallen quite a bit by then. Using my current counterfeit kit: Fall Breeze and the sequins came from my Kreative Cuts Club November 2019 kit. This sketch was great for the scraps of papers I had in my kit.

Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world.
I look forward to seeing what you create from this fun sketch over at Sketch N Scrap.

Autumn Splendor for the Use Your Stuff challenge

Good Morning :) Today over at Use Your Stuff our DT sister  Karrie is challenging us to use up our stuff!!  Yeah that's what we' re always all about here, so this time dig into your patterned papers because we want to see you use 5 or more on your project!
Here is the layout I created using 5 pattern papers:
This layout came about from LOAD1017 Day11: I've got a secret...... …place – somewhere you’ve always loved to be.
My home is always my favorite place to be the good the bad and the ugly at times, but always my favorite :) through past LOADs I have scrap many stories about my home and each year just a walkabout on the property gives me the reasons why my home is my fav place to be :) Some of the sunflowers that grew this year within the small pumpkin patch we had. Sketch over at Scrapbook Generations the free sketch during their crop this past weekend. The title chipboard has been in my stash a long time so glad I finally found a place to use it :)
I used 5 different pattern papers that came from my old 100 Pattern Paper pile (in the process of putting a new one together to use this upcoming year :) as a challenge in October for our 100 Pattern Paper facebook group.
Some close ups of the layout. My journaling
5 pattern papers: the background paper, the photo mat paper and seperate framed paper too, the border stripe paper is the oldest paper on this layout coming from 2008 and the orange stripe paper was a branding strip :) Using washi tape for the other border, stickers from a fall collection I have, strips of dazzles stickers and enamel dots to finish it off :)
That is a chipboard piece that I've been trying to use and finally found a place to use it :)
A close up of one of the sunflowers and that fits Scrappy Sisters Scrap September challenge Day 18: Close-up.
Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog.

Fall is in the Air

Happy Halloween!

Hello :) I have a few layouts to blog for some challenges today. This layout was inspired by LOAD1017 Day 30 …password – the subject is technology. The ultimate love/hate relationship is what most of us have with our devices. Find a clever way to document that, perhaps in a Dear Smartphone letter!
This is the layout I did for this prompt:
What I love about my smartphone is that I have it with me all the time so then there are times like this on the spur of the moment I can take a photograph. What I don't care about my camera is that all the photos don't come out this great, instagram usually helps with the focus better than the actually camera does :) I got a cheap phone to see if I would like a smartphone and found out I do so I'll be looking at the Christmas sales for a new phone for me with a better camera :)
I used sketch #298 over at Sketches in Thyme for my layout inspiration:
Fantastic sketch and quick to do too
My journaling and a close up of the photos
 One of the clusters
My corner embellishment. Since I was talking about the camera on my phone thought this orange camera icon on my craft desk was fitting for the layout :)
Be back soon with another layout.

2017 Fall Pickings for Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style challenge

If you are looking for the Sketch N Scrap post you can find it here
Hello again :) My 2nd post of the day is using this fun sketch over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style. The mid month sketch for October is courtesy of the talented Emma Pescott: Emma has created a great journaling card for us to work with:

I created a fun card to go with my layout:
Fall has finally come to Pennsylvania and we are finally seeing the color changes here. We generally grow pumpkins each year for the grands to choose on and then make a craving party out of it and have them decorate our house too :) Well this year it isn't happening with the yield we ended up with pumpkins. We do have pumpkins for them to choose from but that is about it :)
A fun layout out I created with one of this month's Page Maps sketches:
I flipped the sketch and I also used 1 photo for the 2 small photos. Cool sketch :)
My journaling card when where they had their journaling at :)
Buddy made for a very nice photo with the wagon full of pumpkins this year.

The pumpkins that we grew, oh my not even a dozen! But we have some for the grands to choose from if they come by soon, I noticed yesterday that a few are rotting already.
I used this layout for LOAD1017 Day 14: …musical gift – these are about as much as I am capable of! I went off prompt and created this layout. I did try to play an instrument in band in my Jr High years, but it didn't amount to much a few lessons and that was it and no pictures and not much of a memory for a whole scrapbook page layout. So went with a fall layout page instead.
This layout also falls under Scrappy Sisters Scrap September Day 27: Use Scraps: All scraps on this layout except the background paper. I've got about 3 or 4 collections of fall paper scraps together in a baggy with the left over papers from another collection that I'm trying to use up before cutting into a new fall paper pad I got with my birthday GC at Michaels.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a fantastic day today!

GrandPa's Helpers for a Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style Sketch Challenge

Good Morning and welcome to the 2nd post of the day today :) This is for Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style and the sketch we are working with this week is:
Image may contain: text
The card I created with this sketch is:
Since adding it to the layout I modified it just a bit adding thread and a gold glitter heart to replace one of the round stickers.
A photo op with Grandpa and the grandkids :) As they each got their pumpkin done I got a picture of them with Dave. A fun family layout. This is one of a series of layouts I've done for the pictures of that day. I've got 2 more to do to finish them off :) The layouts for this series of photos I've been working with my counterfeit kit: Falltoberfest.
Pap with Astacia (the oldest and was a Junior in this photo)
Avery with Pap OMgosh he was just turning 13 almost as tall as Pap who is 6'4". I think he may get as tall as his Dad who is 6'7".
Pap with the youngest of the group AJ (Albert Jr.) See the modifications with the thread and the glittery heart. That circle sticker just wasn't working for me.
Elias with Pap and Isabelle with Pap. Love that they all got a picture with Dave, Grandpa's Helpers :)
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation with this fun sketch over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style.

Dig In! for the Counterfeit Kit Challenge November Blog Hop

Happy Thanksgiving!

Good morning and I wish you all a fantastic day today with family and friends.
Welcome to the November Member blog hop over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog. I'm following the very inspiring Julene and if you are coming from her blog then your on the right track :) but if not you may want to start at The Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog and get on board with the first stop on this month's blog hop. This is always a fun blog hop showing off the ladies creations from their current counterfeit kit. This month, you can choose to share any project you have made with your Counterfeit Kit Challenge kit which you have not shared on your blog yet. Your project could be related to any of the three challenges or maybe just something you made with your kit. As a reminder, here are the three challenges this month:

You might have been inspired by the challenges this month :

Challenge #1 - Yum!
Challenge #2 - A Walk In The Woods
Challenge #3 - Bundle Up!

I followed #3: In cooler weather, we start dressing in layers stay warm. For the third challenge of the month, dress your project for the crisp air by using lots of layers. I layered on the embellishments more than paper layers on this grid style layout:
I took lots of photos the day the kids were over picking pumpkins and with a bit of help for our decorating we got them all to pick another pumpkin out to carve for our yard so let the process begin :) Dig in ! was very appropriate title for this layout of just getting the pumpkins cleaned out first before the carving. Layers of embellishments on this layout from my Falltoberfest kit.
I used the sketch over at Creative Scrappers for the inspiration for this layout:
My husband took this picture so glad to see myself in one of the pictures when I went through them all to be printed
 The journaling
A fun middle block full of word stickers of the day.
Dave sure was keeping an eye on the kids while they were cutting along with Andrea too
Thanks a bunch for stopping by today and have fun hopping around the blog hop not off you go to see what Lisa has created she does so magnificent creations :) and you can see what she did create at her blog.

Campbell Pumpkin Patch

Good morning and welcome :) Today I have a layout that I created as DT over at Stick It Down. I'm on the double page team and we had quite the sketch to work with this month. So this is my take on the sketch:
and this is the sketch we got to use:
This was a cool sketch to try to adapt to my style of scrapping, I think I represented it well :) I figured it was up to the individual to decide on the amount of photos we wanted to add to the layout. So I used my current counterfeit kit: Falloberfest and got more of the pumpkin day with the Grandkids scrapped. This is the starting layout of the day where they went and chose their pumpkin. They put those in the car and you'll see in upcoming layouts the ones they chose for us and helped us decorate our yard.
The left hand side of the layout:
The right hand side of the layout:
I used washi tape and those pumpkin borders for the bottom strips in the sketch
I used some stickers, finished off those gold brads (finally!), and that fun journaling card for my journaling
More stickers from the fall sticker sheets to create that title with fun pennants and some gold Heidi Swapp mist.
I thought I would add some fun with the chevrons pointing to the word go! under the picture where we started moving towards the pumpkins. It was a fun day and I really like the way this layout turned out :) Thank your for stopping by and I hope to see your creation linked up on the Stick It Down blog.

Thank God for Small Favors

Good Morning to you :) Today I'm featuring a layout that I created the title card from the sketch over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style. Our sketch creator this week is Susanne Brauer
and this is the title card I created
and the sketch:

The card was in the 4X6paper pad I added to my current counterfeit kit: Falltoberfest along with the Date stickers, the scallop border, the fleur de lis wood pieces and the other stickers. This is the day that Albert's family came over to pick out there pumpkins and then picked out 5 more to carve to decorate our yard. the layout I created was pininspired:
I found this fun sketch on my board of sketches I wanted to try :) This is also a Grid layout and so for this week's Use Your Stuff challenge is also taken care of :)
Close up of the action taking place
 The journaling block
Fun picture of all the pumpkins lined up in a row.
and us adults enjoying the show :) The only one missing from this layout is Astacia, but you will see her in other layouts from the day over the next week. A very enjoyable layout to create ad love creating that fun title card too.
The prize over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style for November is the beautiful Thankful for You stamp set. You have until November 30, 2016 to add your blog or Instagram link up!
We can't wait to see what you create,
Happy Scrapping,
