Kramer Bridge LO for a Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog! Love doing the sketch challenge over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge and this month did not disappoint!  This month, Tara has us using the 30 Days of Sketches, Series 18, Day 22 sketch.  This sketch was created by Fatima Oliveira Avila.

Gotta love a 2 page sketch for those times you have a bunch of photos!

I was inspired by the design of the sketch and used that for my background. Added a few more photos to the layout. Used some fun nature embellishments and words from my kit. The paper was perfect for the for the wood floor of the bridge inside the bridge.

Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

Christmas Eve 2017 - Stick It Down Challenge

Good Morning and welcome to my little corner of the world :) My 1st layout for Stick It Down challenge blog it's double page challenge for the New Year. As I had my Christmas papers out and my 2017 December Daily stuff out, thought this would be a good time to do a Christmas layout. Missing out on Christmas Eve with my siblings this past year because of covid this made me enjoy the memories of Christmas Eve. 1st here is the sketch for the double page layout team for January 2021:

This is what I created:

The sketch provided a fun way to display the photos of the evening.
Using a scrap of Christmas paper for the beginning of my title and some fun mix of alphas to bring in the colors from the other side of the layout, I used the chosen paper pad I had set aside for that year's December Daily (yes I'm behind on that!) for my paper choices besides using some of the gift wrap paper I received that night too from my gifts.

The grid on this side made for an awesome way to use some of the gift wrap I received from my gifts that night for this layout. using the gray scroll paper for the base and 3 different pieces of gift paper for the other 3 quadrants on the layout using a grid of photos certainly gives a cool look to the layout. Everyone was featured in the layout including my brother's 2 cats having fun with their gifts, my feature was the pile of gifts I received.

Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing what you create with this fun challenge over at Stick It Down challenge,

African Savanna LO for the CKC Challenge #2 - Tic Tac Toe

Good Morning and welcome to the 2nd challenge of this month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Our host this month Master Forger Cindy challenge us to a Tic Tac Toe challenge:

With a wide variety of elements in out kits, everything from animals to pencils, hot dogs to insects, hearts to zebras it may be a bit daunting to  figure out where to start,  I made a Tic Tac Toe grid to get you going. I pulled items from each of the kits and the categories are listed with a few ideas following. Pick your row and tell us what you are using.

I chose to the diagonal from the top left to the bottom right. Pulling elements for the double page layout from a visit at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo from our Cleveland Trip in 2018

It was fun to finally get started on the Zoo portion of our trip, this was our 1st stop and wit my Nature part of my CKC Summer's End and the washi tape that I have been using throughout the album I made this fun 2 page layout.

Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I've been creating in my scrappy corner of the world and I look forward to seeing the row you choose to create with :)

Choo Choo layout for Stick It Down challenge

Good Morning and welcome to the Stick It Down double page challenge for September. We had this wonderful sketch from Lauren to use for our inspiration:
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSLA79G3GFx6ZazJV-WS-k-xW9y_yHQl-HMOmJi0Xupjac6-HEZJ39c_JGXgOw4YpXstIduUGBVncl00FQl2NR1TNN1mSo1mmYNkqhyphenhyphenOYZgOdeQvOT4jDipnKX644cMEhRZYO3f641R0Gs/w500-h250/Sketch-double24.jpg
This is the layout I created :)
I had come across this envelope of the Great Granddaughters enjoying a day a Chuck e Cheese and little Ava (atleast she was little then she started Kindergarten this year!) was enjoying the train. I used last month's counterfeit kit: Sparkle in Purple, the color combo of that kit was great for the tracks of pattern paper for the layout. I included some train stickers to make that border edge under the pictures :) Some close up of the layout:
Added glitter dots and glitter stars too.
A couple of cameras and those wood veneer arrows to finish off the layout. Thanks for stopping by today to see what I'm up to in my little corner of the world and I look forward to seeing your creation with this sketch.

The Left Hand side of the layout:
I used my current counterfeit kit: Rain or Shine for this layout, plus items I had chosen to use for this trip :) The Right side of the layout:

Here We Go! LO for Stick it Down Challenge

Good Morning and welcome to Stick It Down challenge, their Double page challenge for the month of May. Our Sponsor this month is:
Angie's Digital Stamps is our sponsor for May!

 Here is the May sketch!
and this is what I created for this sketch:
This is the base page for our fun train ride that we took while we were in Honesdale, PA. There were 24 pictures to this section of the road trip so decided that I would also add 2 Pocket pages to this too (at a later date this month)
The right side of the page, I used a CTMH collection as well as that circle paper that was in my April Counterfeit kit: Spring Cleaning. The pin I purchased at the last place we stopped at and knew that I could use it like a flair badge on the layout. Bits and pieces from my BASHket was added to the layout too
I used some bits and pieces on this side of the layout from my April CKC: Spring Cleaning and I just about got this trip wrapped up!
Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing what you create with this fun challenge

Wayne County's Glass Layout for Stick It Down challenge

Hello and welcome  :) Today is Stick It Down's double page layout sketch and this month we have a fun sponsor over at Stick It Down too:

Handipaper is a digital craft store, where you will find printables, clipart sets and a wide variety of digital cutting files for scrapbookers, cardmakers and DIY lovers.

We have a fun sketch this month to play with:
This is what I created with the sketch:
I've been scrapping a fun day trip this past week and this was one of the cool exhibits at the museum. Using both my current counterfeit kit: Spring Cleaning and last month's counterfeit kit: Backyard Oasis (the floral paper) plus 14 items from my BASHket made for a fun layout.
The left side I used 2 photos for the large photo, I almost always play with 4x6 photos so for me this is the easiest way to do the large photos when the sketch call for it :) the journaling block was a fussy cut out piece from a cut apart that is in my current kit. Added some fun pieces for my BASHket too.
The right side has 3 photos as I took a photo oh the sign and used that for my title. more cut aparts and pieces from my BASHket. This layout is part of my Honesdale, PA Roadtrip.
Thank you for stopping by today to see what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I look forward to seeing what you create with this fun sketch over at Stick It Down challenge blog

Nice to be scrapping some holiday photos from past years :) these are from 2017.  Pictures with Brad's family December 26th.
This is the left side of the layout using my current counterfeit kit: Christmas Joy. Just about spot on with that side of the sketch,
Close up of the picture of use with the grandboys and used a fun vellum piece on my layout with the tag and brad.
The right side of the layout has more pictures from the evening, more of Tristan that of Zachary thinking with all the action going on I must have been getting lots of blurry photos that night.
Close up of some journaling strips that I cut from a scrapbook paper from my November counterfeit kit: Everyday Insight and the diecuts and puffy stickers from my current kit :) It was a fun layout to create :)

A new change for this new year as well...Our challenges will be running for 2 weeks each..that means there will only be 2 challenges each month (one from each team) rather than 4!

This challenge will run from Monday Jan 6th until Saturday Jan 18th!  Lots of time to get your entries in!  Enter as many times as you would like but please no backlinking and make sure that you tag UYS in your post for our challenge as well.

We have a super easy challenge to start you off...it's ANYTHING GOES!  Create anything you want - but try to use some of that older stuff you have in your stash, not the new product you got for Christmas!! :)

Finishing off 2019 trying to use up a CTMH collection Frosted I created this layout. The paper is from 2013 and the pictures are from Nov 15, 2018.

My journaling about the storm. I love the way this layout turned out and was so glad to get this collection bashed and out of my stash. From my November Counterfeit kit: Everyday Insight just another insight to one of the days in my life :)
This was the beginning of this storm and the pictures here are from the 1st day of it, I did a single layout of the next day of this storm, you'll have to come back tomorrow to see that layout. I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog.

Family Gather 2 PG LO for Stick It Down challenge

Good Afternoon :) and welcome back to the 2nd post of the day :) you can find the Use Your Stuff challenge post here.
It's a new month and a new round of sketches over at Stick It Down. We have a great sketch for you double page layout gals this month:
Wow how fun is this :) and look at those strips perfect for scraps in your stash :) this is what I created using this sketch:
A visit we had in March 2017. It was the 1st time we got to see Ava our Great Granddaughter, Jessica's 2nd child. Boy what a socialable person she is :) She was back and forth with Dave and I. Poor Emily wasn't feeling good and wanted to stay with Mommy but did get a cute pick of her on Mommy's lap. These are the best moments :) I used my counterfeit kit: Groovy Chic for the layout and lots of bits and pieces from my stash to make those borders
Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I created for this month's Double Page challenge over at Stick It Down. I look forward to seeing your take on this fun challenge :)

Curated an Awesome Easter Egg Hunt LO Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Good Morning and welcome to the 1st challenge this month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog. Our inspiration kit for September courtesy of the Secret Not Secret Kit Club (Redefined Kreative) Lisa has challenge us to  "curate" our own project! we are working with a curated kit this month which is rather exciting, When you looked up the meaning of "to curate" in the dictionary, I found this definition.
verb (used with object), cu·rat·ed, cu·rat·ing.
to take charge of (a museum) or organize (an art exhibit)
to pull together, sift through, and select for presentation, as music or website content
I love the idea of pulling together some sort of exhibit or collection - isn't that what we do with our memories all the time in this wonderful hobby of ours?

Be inspired by this definition in some way for your own project.
This is the layout that I created by the inspiration of this challenge:
I pulled out 11 photos of the 1st part of the Easter Egg Hunt, using a Scrapbook Generations sketch created the layout using my Quite Brawny kit, used bit of things on the layout, lots of words and phrases and those 5 stars.
 My journaling
My title with the addition of the word of the day Curate for this fun challenge :) Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog

Everyday Dream LO for CKC-Challenge #2

Good Morning and welcome to today's challenge over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Master Forger Leslie has challenged us with this lovely image and quote:

Ahhh... blue sky daydreams...

Challenge # 2:
Dreams are the seeds of change.
Nothing ever grows without a seed,
and nothing ever changes without a dream. - Debby Boone
I hope you can find inspiration from this quote or the image provided.

Isn't that image just draws you into summer and such a cool quote. For my layout I used them both as an image to go with my other pictures on my double page layout:
I added the quote right onto the image. This layout is about the beginning days of getting my truck prepared for it's 1st show, decided to take my business on the road. My target market was people that attend Antique Tractor Shows, something that I wasn't going to find at home other than my hubby :) So on the road I went. This was the a trial run of setting up my truck so I knew a bit of what I was doing before getting to the show grounds.
 Sketch designed by Noreen Smith
Used this sketch from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine for my layout inspiration.
The left side of the layout. I used that navy floral I added to my Enjoy the Ride kit, pulled out another from the paper pad for the double page layout. Used the scrap of green paper I had left from the layout I posted yesterday and also that darker green paper. The title came from the glittery word thickers and so did some of the embellishing. I also used some diecuts from the pack of diecuts in the kit. The birds, butterfly and flowers.
The right side of the layout
My journaling :) after taking the photos of the layout and looking over the journaling I found I put 2 strips in the wrong position but have fixed it after taking the photo.
That special image and quote that prompt this story to be told :) I knew I was doing it about my old business as that was my dream and the hardest thing was finding the photos as I knew the ones I wanted to scrap but wasn't sure where they were! Yep need to work on some photo organization.
and the title work. Love how this came out and all because of one image with one special quote. Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm creating with my fun kit this month! What have you been creating?
