make a comment on this post., I have a card I made for Card A Day Blog the theme this week in New Years.
Civilizations around the world have been celebrating the start of each
new year for at least four millennia. In the United States, the most iconic New Year’s tradition is the dropping of a giant ball in New York City's
Times Square at the stroke of midnight. Millions of people around the
world watch the event, which has taken place almost every year since
1907. Common traditions include attending parties, eating special New
Year’s foods, making resolutions for the new year and watching fireworks
displays. One of our customs is singing songs to welcome the new year, including the ever-popular "Auld Lang Syne"also to kiss the one you love at midnight.
This is what helped me come up with my card today, the time to ring in a New Year. I chose the cricut cartridge Celebrate With Flourish to create the die cuts for my card. I did the clock and hat at 3" and the sentiment at 2". All cuts came from scraps I had on hand and the card base came from the cardstock pack DCWV-Collage Musings Stack, spiced it up with silver glitter (Studio G style sticles) and few stars for the stars in the sky while watching the ball drop :) I wish you all A Happy New Year!

This is so cool! love all the sparkle and the fact that you made it from scraps (which is my favorite way to make cards...I'm a cheapie!)
