Good Morning! Today is a layout for Lasting Memories month of Life Affirmations this week it's Strength. For me it was the strength to move forward. This is the layout I did for that subject, probably one of my strongest moments in my life. This layout came about too from LOAD's prompt of Impact: Music has the power to change our lives. Which song has impacted you as a person? What emotion does that song bring out in you? and I would have to say Gloria Gaynor's song I Will Survive has lots of emotion for me. So my layout:
Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive” is the ultimate anthem of girl power.
I used the sketch over at My Scraps and More Sketches
I rotated it counterclockwise 1/2 turn for my layout.
This is a picture of me shortly after my separation. The song usually makes me think back to this time in my life and what I did to survive.
The journaling spot and title.
I fun with a CTMH stamp and some butterflies I found in my stash
I had the butterflies surround this spot to focus to draw attention on the words. I used my current counterfeit kit for the layout. Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to see what you create for the challenge.
So pretty!! Love the butterflies and the turquoise!!
ReplyDeletePurples and butterflies! Two of my favorite things!
ReplyDeleteThe butterflies are the perfect accent to show how you were changed and survived what I'm sure was a very challenging time!

ReplyDeleteOMGosh Tina, I love this layout! Why you ask? Because we are twins once again! When I separated from a bad marriage it was this very same song that kept me going. I survived and carried on with my life! I love that you have a picture of that time in your life and could scrap it! Hugs my twin!! Brenda
