Clematis Jackmanii - Use Your Stuff challenge

Good Day to you and welcome :) This week's challenge over at  Use Your Stuff Challenge  Lori has asked us to use a minimum of 5 patterned papers on your project. You can use more than 5 patterned papers, but you must have at least 5 on your project. Here is my layout I created for this challenge:
Including the grounding pattern paper I used 5 papers plus 2 cutaparts to make a total of 7 different pattern papers (good time to use scraps on a layout :)
I've decided this month to try to continue with a layout a day. This layout came about from that choice. I've got a few kits I put together last month to work through. Plan to continue creating with the photos I recently got too. So this picture has been around a long time and I was glad to finally get it scrapped. I used my past counterfeit kit: Nature's Party and also got some help with the layout from Let's Get Sketchy newest sketch challenge
This was a fun sketch to play with and that border strip I used washi tape for that.
My journaling spot was one of the cutaways I found in a 6X6 paper pad.
Title work from 2 different fonts. Thanks for stopping by today and hope your having a lovely day, mine is a bit dreary in weather, doing laundry and trying to get an old laptop up and running.

Bon Voyage - Lasting Memories Layout Challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) It's a new week over at Lasting Memories and a new challenge. This month were having fun with June Holiday Insights and for today, June 4th is "Old Maid's Day" a day to bring awareness to those of us who have not yet found (and caught) our soul mate. We are to do a layout about a single in your life or even when you were/are single.
This is another page to my Cruise Album:
My Mom and I went on a Cruise, I was divorced and single at the time (old maid :) have not yet found my soulmate and I wouldn't find him for 7 more years yet. This was when we got off the plain and boarded the ship at San Juan. So cool that Mom had kept so much from that trip and it was good to use the memorabilia on the layout
The left side of the layout has my journaling, a picture of me and my Mom, a picture of the ship that Mom took, love that I can add her own writing from the back of the picture to the layout :) and a postcard I found of San Juan.
The Right side of the layout holds some of the memorabilia that I found: our Itinerary (a big help for the other days knowing where we were when I scrap them) Our tickets, and a newsleter that we got each day from the ship. So cool to add to the layouts
A close up of the journaling and the picture of Me and my Mom :)
This layout was created for LOAD217 was Greek Mythology Day3 prompt:
DAY 3: Prometheus
Which moment would you choose to relive again?

Who wouldn't want to relive a cruise to the Virgin Islands. My Mom and I went on a cruise twice together. This one was in 1985 (I was 23) This was my 1st cruise. A fantastic week that I still have memories of it till this day, they are fading but most are still there. My Mom and I were both coming from dark places in our lives my father passing away a couple years before and in that same year that Dad passed away I walked out of a very bad marriage. This was a time when we went from Mother/Daughter to Best Friends. So this cruise was perfect time to getaway. Any time with Mom is a good time to Relive again.

Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing you play along with us :) Some old story you would like to tell, how about a girls night out or maybe a daughter or grand daughter that you could tell about in a layout.......

Hunt On a LO for Stick It Down sketch challenge

Good Morning and welcome to June :) Wow May went by really fast but then I was working, sleeping and scrappin! LOAD does that to me :) So June is a time to relax and catch my breath a bit but will still be trying to do a layout a day if I can :)
Today is reveal day over at Stick It Down and the double page sketch is a really good one for lots of pictures:
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhItJPIlfH-D5_MFQSTzeunXd_VPbUkqAXGU_MHI0tUHxe19PtYgpqojBoGyiPrBNCPF-3u5q3IsjqnnjXVqPBmox9C4t0JzeF4ulh-1WpoWwihzkZw27gLeysWRfNOV1V1TXpMtr1v52c/s1600/Skisse+6.jpg
and this is the layout I created with this cool sketch:

This are pictures from this year's Easter Egg Hunt and this was just one of the locations, we used 2 other fields and 2 groves for the hunt so a few more layouts are on the way :) We always have a ball doing this for the grands and this year the weather was perfect other than it being a tad to hot and the chocolate melted.
The left side of the layout
the right side of the layout
The title block and Dave being Dave :) he does like to be in charge :)
The year I put this in where the subtitle was to be on the sketch, finally got to use the alpha once this month :)
A border of rabbit heads from the sticker sheet in the counterfeit kit this past month :) Nature's Party
And the journaling block. This was also for LOAD517 Day 30 as I went off prompt cause I could only get the one layout completed that day.
Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your creation linked up over at Stick It Down.

CHEESY

Welcome back to another layout from LOAD517 Day 7
Prompt:
Gone With the Wind – 1939
“As God is my witness, I’ll never be hungry again!” Inspired by Scarlett’s vow, this is a food prompt! Because she didn’t have much food, you are on a “starvation diet” to tell your food story. Use only three colors, two embellishments, and a one-word title.
The 3 color I used was Brown, Blue and Red. I used Brads and Chipboard for my 2 embellishments and the 1 word title: CHEESY. I used a cooking papers and props for my foody layout. but I did use that maroon pattern paper from my current counterfeit kit: Nature's Party for the layout as well as brads from my 100 Pattern Paper facebook group challenge a few months ago that has been sitting on my desk to get used up :)
I used the May 1-7 sketch over at Sketches in Thyme:
May 1-7 Sketch #275
This was a fun sketch to use
 close up of the journaling
The recipe and the scattering of the brads in the 3 choosen colors
Found a fun vellum quote in blue to use too for the layout. Thanks for stooping buy once again to see what I'm up too in my little corner of the world.

Procrastination

Yep that would be my Kryptonite! Procrastination is my worst enemy :) LOAD517 Day 21

Prompt:
Superman – 1978
What’s your Kryptonite? What stops you for doing what you need, or want, to do?
Procrastination has to be my kryptonite. I can have good intentions and then something else that is usually more fun will stop me from doing what I should be doing :) House Cleaning falls into this category very well :)
I used my current counterfeit kit Nature's Party for this layout. Also grabbed a couple of project life cards too for my journaling and for the word card cause this is my life.
I used the sketch over at Sketches in Thyme May 15-21 sketch for my inspiration for this layout:
May 15-21 #277
For a really quick layout this sketch is a fast one to use
 close up of the layout
and a close up of the journaling :) I'm thinking that's all the challenges that I did over the past month if not then I missed them :) Thanks for stopping by today and I wish you a fantastic day

Home Machine

Welcome back to another layout from LOAD517 Day29
Prompt:
The Matrix – 1999
Create a layout that tells about a decision that indirectly led you to an entirely different experience. I never would have thought I’d end up ____ when I started doing _____.
This was a fun way to start a prompt with a statement to start off my journaling. I had come across some early photos when I was just about to get started with my business venture and this embroidery job pretty well clinched the thoughts of me getting an embroidery commercial machine. found out the home machine could only do so much.
I used that crazy piece of scrapbook paper that was in my current counterfeit kit: Nature's Party. I really was struggling with using this paper for some odd reason.
I used the sketch over at Sketches in Thyme for my layout:
A fun layout to play with :)
 My journaling spot
Fun word stickers for the corner cluster. I used brads once again for my embellishment along with a piece of ribbon for a paper strip.
The small title thought it would reference the small machine well.
This is the hat, found it was a bit harder to do with the home machine and if I wanted to make this business work and be profitable I would need a larger machine.
Thanks for stopping by once again today to see what I've been doing in my little corner of the world.
