Good morning :) Today I have a 2 page scrapbook layout that I made with my June counterfeit kit, so this was started on Monday and finished up last night. I used Lasting Memories Sketch from challenge #197.
I was glad to see the sketch with all those photo spots and I knew which set of photos I wanted to scrap:
This is from the family get together we had 2013 when Tammy was down for a visit. We'll have more memories this year as she is down during the weekend of the Campbell Reunion, more memories to scrap :)
This left side has the title card I cut from BoBunny Roughin' It cutouts the journal card came from the same sheet. The scattered glitter stars were fussy cut from the left over paper I cut to frame 2 of the pictures and added strips to a couple of pictures too.
This right side has a 3X4 card from Simple Stories I <3 Summer collection, a few stickers from the Neapolotion recollections paper pad, and more scattered stars.
One of the pictures with the Grandkids roasting marshmallows, we were making smores that night. This is the year that Dave and I got introduce to this sweet goodness of the summer
Isn't that card just cute :) I fussy cut the chevron edge to give a nice border and it made for a nice place to tuck elements also. I added a star to the corner with a sticker.
Supervisor in position (our lovely daughter Tammy :) and Bradley showing how it's done :)
A closer look to the right side and the borders made up of the black diagonal washi tape and the gray dotted strip which is the other side to the chevron paper. Scattered stars and more pics of the Grandkids roastin' marshmallows.
I thought this card was appropriate for the layout and it helped with the corner to balance out the layout. Added stickers of words appropriate for what was going on too.
Pap Campbell and Buddy on Supervision duty too.
Thanks for stopping by today, this is the last layout I made with the June kit and so looking forward to breaking into that July kit :)
Very nice - I do love seeing how people scrap double page layouts. What a great set of photographs. The bright chevron paper really adds to the festive feel of your page :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great sketch Tina! I love your take on it too! I am always drawn to the sketch's that fit a lot of pics in and this one fits that bill. Your pictures are fabulous and looks like a lot of fun was had as well as many memories made. Which is what it is all about!!! Have a wonderful 4th and keep cool today my friend. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteGreat take on the sketch. I don't make spreads often enough.
ReplyDeleteThat was a terrific sketch for you to scrap all your treasured memories of this holiday spent with your family. How wonderful in years to come for ya'll to be able to look back, and re-enjoy this holiday. And compare it with the upcoming one, that you'll have more pics to scrap! Happy 4th of July. TFS & Hugs
