Hi you all and welcome to the Counterfeit Kit Challenge July Blog Hop :) With a Laugh Out Loud scrapbook LO.
If you are coming from the amazing Lisa's blog then your right on track.
The challenges this month are:
Challenge
#1 - Triangles: Use
at least 5 triangles on your project
Challenge
#2 - 3 Techniques: Combine
3 techniques (or more)
Challenge
#3 - Create a Panel Card: Try
a unique card on a panel design
I chose to do Challenge #2 Combine 3 techniques (or more) How many do you count from the layout ?
First I forged the tag that was in the original kit and added some faux stitching (that's the 1st technique) then I layered with many different papers, chipboard pieces, journal cut out pieces, a journaling tag, and some vellum all down the diagonal of the LO (Layering that's the 2nd technique) and I hope you can see the torn edges of the flower paper on the LO (Tearing that's the 3rd technique)
and in the left hand corner of the page:
I had a cluster of both vellum and a word sticker which I included some silver stickles here on the swirl they had printed and also on the tag for some bling (Adding bling that's the 4th technique)
So now about the layout this is my grandson AJ and while everyone was busy doing their own thing (this was from the Campbell get together pictures I've been scrappin) I caught out of my eye this box running around and it had legs! So I took the picture and another of AJ sitting on the bench. This is one gremlin (that is a nickname he got from his Mom) that can find fun in just about anything and every single word on the layout refers to his beautiful personality :)
The kit that I used had fun frames so I framed the picture of AJ running :) I'm thinking framing maybe another technique not sure on that one and this lovely quote was in the kit and it fit perfectly for the layout. The journaling on the tag reads: We Cherish AJ OMGosh I saw AJ running with the empty box of potato chips, I had to take a couple of pictures :) 6/29/13. Also added are the 3 triangle silver studs from CTMH pointing to AJ's picture.
Now off you go and enjoy the hop your next stop is at Leslie's blog Out of the Mire to see what challenge she chose. If you get lost along the way here is the list of all who are in the hop:
So many techniques - way to go.
