Welcome back and I just love the inspirational kit from Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog for this month :) Cautious this is very photo heavy. They used a fabulous kit from Scrapbook.com called Across the Miles:
Isn't this kit just scrumptious :) With me doing LOAD this month I figured I better have a rather thick kit this month. I call the kit Sunny Days with Blue Skies
So I actually start my kit with a win I got from forger Margie to use for my base:
This kit has the pinks, blues, navys and gold that are in the inspirational kit with lots of fun embellishments too. This is what I added from my stash:
I pulled some papers from a pile I had sitting on my one organizers and pulled the papers that would work with the kit. Also added a few premade purchased kits and a couple of paper pads to use this month that had lots of gold and blue hues to them. I pulled the Workshops on the Go® Wanderful Scrapbooking Kit for anything needed in travel for the month, I pulled another small pack of CTMH paper that had the red I needed that was in the inspirational kit and I pulled a EP Grandma's kitchen kit for any foodie layouts this month. I pulled 2 DCWV stack packs I won last month and just can't wait to use them :) One is the Gilded Paper pack and it is totally scrumptious gold paper and the other is the Linen Closet pack that is gold and blue so pretty. So I added some old, some new, some in-between and some blue.
The embellishments I pulled was some borders and labels from my stash, lots of bling I got from my Secret Santa, stickers, buttons, sequins, stickles, flowers and a pack of cut out stars I found in a swap box but still in-tacked on the paper it was cut out from.
More CTMH: Picture My Life Balloon Ride and another paper pack that I found called Windsor with golds and creams.
Alphas: 2 new stickers that I got from my secret santa, 2 very old stickers that are in my stash and a few small letter alphas, I also have the small alphas from last month handy too.
The CTMH cnsultant gave us this cute Christmas gift of the hearts embossing folder, the enamel hearts and the heart stamp. I also have a SU stamp set for the month: Traveler (not pictured) and these 2 stencils and I also have the SU Hearts and Stars Decorative masks (not pictured) that I want to use.
Access to my Geo Dies for this month to use :) I used this on a card last month and realized that some of these I have never used and I've had them for at-least 4 years now. Really why pay that kind of money and not use them so I see lots of weekend fun with these.
The chosen cricut cartridge this month is Artbooking, why well let me tell you this has lots and lots of cuts that can bee used on a scrapbook layout plus it has a complete layout no thinking involved and I just might need that this month :) I'm really not sure if I ever used it yet. So I'm excited to give this one a try!
This is something that I decided last month to make sure I use my scraps, I have way to many scraps floating around my scrap room so this is the pile of scraps that I have left from January's kit and it automatically goes into the February kit to be used up this month! No more scraps....
These are last minuted pulled items :) the 6X6 Homespun pad, a 4X6 Boy Birthday pad (I've got a couple of birthday layouts I want to do, some stickers I found where my 6X6 paper pads are housed on the shelf yep doesn't belong there but I put them there probably just for a place to put them so in the kit they go! Some washi tape too, there is this caution tape I had picked up awhile back that I want to use on a layout or two that should be fun.
So that is it my large February kit ready for LOAD215, with the limited time available during the day for to do the layouts I thought best to just use paper pads and premade kits to pull from without alot fuss to decide anything since I know they will all work together. Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I'm up to today and stop by tomorrow for the 2nd day layout..... hmm now I wonder what it will be :)
Love the gilded paper pack! What a chunky kit! Lots to keep you busy for your LOAD. Enjoy! I'll look forward to following along.
